  1. I think it would be nice to see the US servers combined into 1 server. I am hoping that the 64 bit upgrade is being done because the dev team would like to have everyone on one server and run smoothly. At this point in this game I see no advantage for having 2 servers. If it can run smoothly it is a win win for everyone. I have been using the same names for years also but you can use special characters to get around that issue. Honestly name changes should not be the hold up for this to happen. There are many ways around that. Between being able to use two separate names and special characters there really is not any excuse for not getting the name you want. I vote YES for 1 US server.
  2. The poster is right they should change it back to the way it was allowing new members to a guild to start participating in conquest upon being in that guild right away. Most of the comments in this thread are wrong and do not understand how the current conquest system works. The implementation of once a player leaves a guild that the points made towards that guild will be removed is a perfect fix. I agree with it completely. But what the poster here is complaining about is surely valid. Not allowing a player to participate towards conquest upon joining a new guild is not only un necessary but it is hinderance to small guild in particular. Anyone who does not understand this simply does not know how conquest works or understand what the exploits were as seen in many replies in this thread.
  3. Notice these people only respond these days to cartel coin questions. Just confirming what I knew already. SWTOR exists for cartel coins only.
  4. .................the players who said pre season would only last a few weeks when I told them to read the dev post about LATE spring. All you have to do is listen to the devs when it comes to ranked to know they will always try to punish the ranked community. It has been that way since season 1 came to an end. The reason for a pre season in this game that lasts months when there is no gearing change, no level cap change or no major game mechanic change is............ready for it...........are you ready..................here it comes............................there is no reason other than they hate our guts. These months and months of pre season right now is the dev team having a good laugh on you who play ranked. Funny how many people un subbed because of it. I wonder why that is so funny to them.
  5. This whole "late spring" start of the season (which means approx a total of 4-5 months of pre season) is just another attempt by the dev team to ruin ranked. At this point I am surprised they have no just announced an end to ranked all together. Anyone can see they detest the ranked community. If you do not see that your not paying attention.
  6. Unless there was some major gear or skill or character level changes why is pre season any longer than at very most 2 weeks? If you can not sort out top 3s and rewards in 14 days at the very longest then maybe its time to move on. At this point ranked is ruined, swtor twitch view numbers has plummeted because without people playing ranked the viewership drop significantly. At this point I have to conclude that the people responsible for these decisions want ranked pvp to die. And not only that but while killing off ranked pvp they are also eroding the game itself. I can come up with no other conclusion other than that.
  7. That's my point. The bans need to stop unless it is mechanical hacking exploit. Too much shady bs to pull apart. Wrong people getting banned, perps not getting banned that according to the very broad rules should. I say just stop the dam bans. Let the cards fall where they fall and build a hardened system like they have with the RNG being impossible to decipher and 15 minute to 1 day timeout for leaving. And if someone does not like that do not queue ranked and go somewhere else. This ban crap is out of control.
  8. I did not say that. I don't know why you have that in quotes because I did not say that. What my point is rather than entering an arena that in any mmorpg where there is pvp, it is extremely aggressive and an environment of high intense emotions why not do everyone a favor and DO NOT do it. I mean everyone on earth is tired of these light weight Twinkies trying to impose their moral high ground on a system that is going to be extremely emotional and is certain scenarios toxic. I mean seriously you have to wonder what the motive is with these same small group of people who constantly try to ban players and stir up trouble in a system by their own admission they do not like. If you do not like it leave us the heck alone. I mean seriously can you imagine a trained fighter going into the MMA octagon and getting triggered when the other fighter taunts them and gets smashed. I mean can you imagine that and then crying saying that MMA is mean because they punch and kick and hurt people. Can you imagine that. If you don't like the arena, stay the heck out of it. Its that simple. And as far as win trading it is very difficult to detect. First of all the queues are so random its hard to sink anymore. And because of people like this guy innocent people are getting banned because it is perceived they are trading when it is just bad skills and poor position management. The 15 minute lockout in ranked really hurt traders and sinkers. By the way the second lockout is like 1 hour so the sinking trading bs is over. It is very tough to do now. As far as banning players it is total bullcrap unless they are doing thinks that manipulate the actual game system like fly hacking and things like jeezee was doing. But this toxic banning and all that crap is just that, crap. And bioware should knock it off. Nobody should get banned unless they are physically exploiting the game files or game mechanics. All these bans did absolutely nothing to improve solo ranked. It is worse now than ever so the amount of bots has not been better but increased. So I have to conclude that the bans are more virtual signaling by bioware than a real attempt to make solo ranked better. The bans have zero effect.
  9. Let me enlighten you a little. I know the majority of the players banned and queue locked. I am in almost all the ranked discords on SF and DM. Your banning players little rant you are on is funny to watch. Every single person I know that is and was banned from ranked play on alt accounts. The ban is an inconvenience but has absolutely no effect on keeping the player banned out of ranked. They simply switch accounts, keep low key and queue ranked just like normal. Personally I think the banning in ranked is foolishness. I think if someone like Jeezee or whatever his name is is using mechanical exploits and literally hacking the mechanics I think then and only then should bioware step in and ban them from playing. But to ban someone for toxicity and perceived win trading or queue sinking is foolish and dumb and also accomplishes nothing. And I know for a fact people this season have been banned who are not guilty of cheating. So even bioware when they ban players are a total mess. Anyone who insists on banning players should either stick to regular pvp or maybe just consider not queueing for pvp at all period. Rather than trying to break the backs of players you don't like to accommodate your high standards or righteousness maybe you should consider doing the player base a favor and go do something that is more pleasant for you to do. Sitting here crying and screaming to ban everyone to me sounds like your the problem rather than the people you are crying about. Pvp is competitive and stirs the emotions. Everyone who plays pvp is an mmorpg knows that. It nothing new. It is the norm. It always amazes me when these white knight types kick and scream to ban pvpers because they want it to be calm and docile is too funny. Do not go to a biker bar and expect everyone to be dressed in suits and proper mannered. Could you imagine going into a biker bar and get infuriated about the bad language and inappropriate attire? Its no different than a white knight entering the pvp arena and then having a hissy fit when he is called trash by other players and demanding bioware to start banning players forever. Thats the absolute joke not unbanning pvp players you distaste. If you do not like the atmosphere then stay the heck out of the pvp queue. Just like if you do not like a rowdy crowd stay out of the biker bars. Rather than pestering the bikers, find yourself a jazz bar and leave everyone the heck alone.
  10. They have destroyed PVP. It is actually painful to play it in its current form. Pre 5.0 works for me. The latest changes are beyond words. Whoever is in charge of pvp decisions now in both ranked and regs have destroyed pvp beyond anything I have seen in this game. The burner is that the game is fine besides d sync. The pvp in this game should be amazing and only and I mean ONLY because of horrible dev decisions is it not only un enjoyable, but actually painful to play if you can bear queueing. The most recent changes are a continual deathblow to an already suffering system. Unbearable
  11. I have a real easy way for you to make a lot of cartel cash and it is super easy. Ready? Make an elo reset token for this coming season. Add it to your precious little cash cow known as your Cartel Market. With the current matchmaking you will be rich.
  12. I would do the same if i was in your situation. It stinks that bioware does not offer a currency transfer option if you are willing to remove it all from one server to the next. It should be an option but so far its not. I would like to move all my ranked tokens that are spread over 5 servers to one. That would be worth it for me paying the transfer fee.
  13. That is not needed. If you delete all your toons and transfer a toon back or make a new one everything is exact like you left it. You don't need to make a new toon. But it doesn't hurt if you do just not needed.
  14. Just curious, what's the urgency to move from a vibrant active east coast server to a low population declining east coast server? You do know both servers are housed out of the same east coast location right? Also if you PVP or use the PVE queue system that during off peak hours it is a ghost town. just an FYI. Also the GTN has about 10% on average of what Star Forge has on any given day as far as pure item amounts. If non of that bothers you then enjoy the move. But if any of those are an issue than moving currency might be the very least of your problems. I have a fully geared toon on Sateele I use to raid with an old friend who occasionally plays so I have some knowledge of slow queues when I have tried to pvp and compared to Forge this server is very noticeably low populated. I'm only saying this because of the urgency you seem to have to move to SS. I'm just checking if your aware of the many pitfalls in changing from SF to SS. Good luck and I hope it works out for you. A lot of people are leaving SS for SF I just do not see many people going in your direction.
  15. My guild which means I call the shots. Its exactly how bioware made it. So if you do not like that then you can petition bioware to allow several unbootable members rather than just one. Anyhow my guild is a massive conquest guild. We do very few things together other than conquest. I have invested and personally unlocked 15 rooms invested billions of my own credits and do giveaways all the time. People want an active conquest guild and I provide it. Now getting back to your obviously irritated comment. Not trusting anyone who plays this game is not "gripped in paranoia" it is the result of learning several lessons the hard way. And all the people who I would trust to have the guild have long ago left this game. Anyhow your reply is extremely condescending like somehow you feel your some sorta of guild guideline virtual "how the proper way" to leave a game when you own a guild. I can tell you that I never asked what or "how to do" with my original question. My original question was asking what happens when my account goes free to play. And after getting that answered there was NEVER a question on what my next move would be. 100% no questions asked every single player other than my own will be booted from the guild. And every single player in my guild can choose to join a new guild or not. That's up to them. But to transfer my guild to anyone in my guild was NEVER an option I would even consider so I have no clue why you felt compelled to scold me. It seemed a bit pathetic to be completely fair about. Not because of what you said, but the fact I never asked about it. Anyway I would like to thank the earlier reply to my original question. I was not sure how that worked and I appreciate your reply. This thread can close now unless there are a few more people who would like to scold me and tell me how nasty of a human being I am to keep my guild. Thank you!
