  1. Aight. I'm back to inform ya'll that Dawn is no longer recruiting on Begeren Colony. After spending a couple of weeks comparing the APAC/Oceanic population of BC to the APAC/Oceanic population of the Harbinger, we have decided there is no point struggling to run content on a destitute server when we can be doing the same thing with ease on another. So Dawn as a guild is slowly transferring it's members over to the Harbinger with only a token force left to f*ck around on BC. On that note, in line with our desire to get as many APAC players in one place as possible, I encourage relevant parties to transfer to the Harbinger. Unlike Begeren Colony, 55 PvP lasts all night, the groupfinder pops frequently, and during 9pm-12am AEST there seems to be 150-200 people on fleet (as opposed to the 10-40 on Begeren Colony). It's basically the Promised Land in comparison. So to all those reading this, this will most likely be the last Dawn update in this thread. Enjoy.
  2. ^ With the release of ESO we lost quite a few veteran players, so right now we're accepting all rolls to prolong Ops happening during APAC times on this server. Considering the imminent release of Wildstar (which has already shown it's going to steal a lot of players fro the server) the remaining Dawn players may be migrating to our sister guild on the Harbinger if the population doesn't continue to support the running of content during APAC times. So if you're in our timezone, and you want to run Ops or PvP during APAC times, sign up. The dwindling Australian population on this server is making group content veeerrrryyy difficult to organize.
  3. Shameless self-bump skillfully masquerading as another status update. RP: F*ck RP (note; this view may not be shared by all guild members). PvE: It's been rough. Getting a time that works for everyone is proving to be challenging, so most of our Ops lately have been spur-of-the-moment whenever there's enough interested people online. We're still in the gearing phase for our newer players so that we can once again put together a 'progression' team. PvP: We kinda gave up on Friday nights. There isn't a high enough APAC population on this server to support consistent PvP games during our prime time hours. So instead we've been grouping up for PvP on Saturday/Sunday during the day (which is Friday/Saturday night for Americans) and it's been a lot of fun. With the release of Elder Scrolls Online, Dawn is going to be losing a couple more of its veterans as regular players. So we are contemplating starting from the ground up (SM TFB/SnV) in gearing for PvE, with 1 or 2 experienced and ridiculously over-geared players making the ride a little easier for everyone else. This means it's the perfect time to jump on board for anyone who is looking to learn about and experience endgame raiding. It should be noted though, that the 'experienced' and 'ridiculously over-geared' players are just as likely to want to bring in alts who actually /need/ the gear. So be prepared to earn your spot. We don't carry people unless we're paid for our trouble :3
  4. Welp since we've entirely derailed the subject based on what appeared to be a discussion about an 8v8 game... Despite evidence to the contrary brought up previously in the thread, I've been solo queueing for regs the past month or so and: - It's rarely one-sided, and if it is it isn't for long. Premades are often comfortably countered by 3-4 good players who aren't queueing together but end up in the same game. - I've seen little-to-no trash talk in ops chat, much less in /say (discounting that one time an assassin literally pulled me into range to interrupt a game-winning cap, and that was his own team trashing him... and well... fair game). - It's... fun. Casual. Whereas this thread alone would lead me to believe 55 PvP on this server could be nothing but a rage-inspiring experience. I'm seeing a lot of anger. Ya'll need to remember while we may be the majority of people who bother posting about PvP on the forums, we're the minority of people queueing for games, talking about only the games we've seen, heard about, or been in. What's said here is by no means the be-all-end-all of what goes in PvP on this server. So, calm your t*ts, and solo cue for some regs once or twice a night. oh wut, this is a ranked thread?
  5. So, as an innocent bystander, what I gather from this thread is; on Harby, the pretentious d*cks who stroll around with big e-peens thinking they're the gods of PvP rather than rolling to Pot5 or Bastion where they can face real competition, are primarily on repside rather than impside? That'll be a change of pace.
  6. Hnnngg. That's half of what I wanted to hear, but I'm generally a repside player. Does it tend to regress into only ImpvImp games late at night? EDIT: Nevermind xD From browsing the Harbinger forums a little it's become pretty obvious that the reps are dominant PvP faction here rather than the imps. Gonna transfer my Sorc over instead of my GS.
  7. I feel like I can sum the last few pages up fairly easily; 1) Congrats are due to DoA for server first Styrak, regardless of taking some of the meaning out of calling it 'progression' by doing it decked out in next-tier gear. It's unfortunate Ascensions self-imposed handicap held them back, but I guess we'll never know who'd have done it first if both teams were on even footing. 2) People who are bad at PvP, telling people who are proven to be good at both PvP AND PvE, that they're bad at PvP, in a PvE thread. 3) Scyn, Jballa and Zuhara have ego's so large we can only stand in awe and hope we are not emotionally crushed before their might. You think you're scared now? They're not even in their final form. Now we can all untwist our panties and go back to grinding for NiM DF/DP.
  8. Howdy. I'm a player from BC, thinking about transferring a 55 over to Harby for sh*ts n giggles in PvP. I was just wondering if 55 PvP on the Harbinger is still active between 9-11pm AEST? Because on Begeren it tends to get slow around 9pm and completely dies around 10pm.
  9. This. Although, gonna have to level my Sniper and beg Eclipse to let me join them in warzones. Right now Dawn has a mighty 2 or 3 people who regularly PvP in 55's, and only 1 of them has any PvP gear. Alternatively.... if there are any aussie 4-mans on repside who need a dps... *hinthint*
  10. Continuing to do it on American Friday night sounds like a plan. ... That way the Aussies queueing on a Saturday afternoon can crush you
  11. Considering everything's been done except NiM Styrak, which is only because Ascension was held back by a scrubby Balance Sage like myself which is no longer the case. I hardly see how it's going to effect BC's 'progression'. But hey, more faces to roll in PvP. Sounds like fun.
  12. <3 As a matter of fact, we do. We even have a separate guild where we store them for our pleasure. Not even joking. Keep an eye out for the 'Ryloth Syndicate' in sub30 PvP. They're all Scoundrels or 'Slingers and they're all Twilek females.
  13. Fix'd. As you can see, they are an exemplary guild who everyone should desire to join. Truly setting the standard for the server.
  14. Don't worry. That statement alone is enough to make it clear that we're not talking about the same kind of PvP. I no longer feel it necessary to ague with you.
  15. So I was just informed of this in a completely different thread;
