  1. Wrong. You can change the Graphic API to DX11 in WoW through the in-game settings. There is a huge difference in performance as well. I can't run WoW in DX9 API at the highest settings (abysmal fps, below average of 20) but when I run it with DX11 API, I can run it with everything max (with the exception of high MSAA) with average of 40+ fps.
  2. ENOUGH with the ignorant comments. If you don't know squat about programming and game design, let alone the process of creating and maintaining an MMO, then please DON'T EVEN DARE TALK ABOUT BUGS/HOTFIXES/ETC. Do your damn research first, hell, why not just go learn programming! I am sure reading millions of lines of codes is extremely easy right? Hell, I am sure knowing what a change in a line of code will affect the rest of it is easy too right? Anyone in the video game business, including other programming jobs that not are related to the video game business, knows how much of a challenge it is. And yes, even for the "SIMPLE' bugs.
  3. Which fleet commendation vendor? Might wanna be more specific.
  4. PTR patch notes are not meant to be in or discussed about in General Discussion. There is a reason we have a PTR section.
  5. Lightning balls one shotting people does happen, not very often though. Full rakata geared sorcerer with the shield on, ended up getting one shotted. Also note, it doesn't really matter how long you take in phase 2, there isn't really a timer here. He will always enrage on the 4th pillar in phase 3 no matter how long you take in phase 2. So survival, and making sure you transition to the next phase properly has no risk.
  6. Really? So based on your logic, you want to throw the game off-balance and give every advantage to force-users? Are you new to MMOs?
  7. And Kael'thas... Vashj... All of Sunwell.... Myrmidon Hard Mode... Freya Hard Mode... Putricide Hard Mode... Lady Sinestra Heroic .... Ragnaros Heroic.... Deathwhing Heroic... I'm not even done yet...
  8. It's clear you guys haven't read all my posts. So allow to post what I have said... again. My guild are all hardcore raiding veterans, it is invite only, we don't do apps. Our goal is to clear content, at a reasonable pace with a casual schedule. We only raid 3 nights a week, 3 hours each, and till this day, we haven't had one week were we actually do our full raiding schedule/ Note: "CLEAR CONTENT AT A REASONABLE PACE WITH A CASUAL SCHEDULE". We care for progression, we care for HARD content, challenging encounters that take weeks to kill. With such a casual raiding schedule, all this content shouldn't be possible to clear in less than 4 nights of raiding. But guess what? It was cleared, we cleared HM EV/Karaga, NM EV, and now we are 3/5 NM from just 1 night, were we raided only for 2 hours. Total raid nights since launch = 5. This is not hard content, we shouldn't even be that progressed into it if it was CHALLENGING! And yes we are talking about 16 mans. We are not here for a race, we don't care how many nights we could've spent aside from our casual schedule to down a boss, hell at this point we don't raid till Tuesday again. RL does not allow us to go back to that hardcore schedule again. We are being REALISTIC. But that doesn't mean we don't care for the overall progression of end-game content. We do care, we want this game to last because we LOVE IT. Our hardcore mentality still exists, but the schedule doesn't, that is the only difference. The lack of challenge will KILL END-GAME RAIDING. In one night, NM Karaga has already been cleared, don't even DARE tell me this was challenging for you guys, BECAUSE LOGIC SAYS IT WASN'T, aside from our own experience. Unless your new to MMOs, and never played WoW or Hammerknell Rift, then your credibility is at an all time low. And if you have played WoW as a top guild, or cleared Hammerknell Rift, and still say this content was challenging... then I am sorry, but SHAME ON YOU, and you know EXACTLY why. Until Bioware releases real challenging encounters, then let the race begin for the hardcore guilds, and many of us will start to become interested in it, and the guilds partaking on it. But don't make current content look as something that it isn't. Instead of praising the easy content that we have, ASK FOR HARDER RAIDING! Else Bioware will never bother with hardcore content. This is exactly what I am worried about, and it is exactly what you guys are doing: praising easy content and pretending that content was so "CHALLENGING" as an attempt to raise your e-peen. Yeah... thanks for helping us out on the demand for hardcore content... NOT. Word of advice: Listen to your guildies and other guilds that have already claimed that current content is EASY. They actually have a clue of what is going on.
  9. Bugged/Over-tuned content does not make raiding hard, BECAUSE IT IS UNINTENTIONAL. If you've been around long enough, you would already know this. Sure they are possible if you put in enough attempts to get lucky with bugs and the mechanics, but that simply means you threw yourselves to the encounter as many times as you could in order to achieve that luck. So please, stop making yourself look oblivious, cause your literally defending easy content. You know this is a fact, and if your truly a hardcore guild, you should be talking to Bioware in how they SHOULD make future content CHALLENGING (remember, buggy/overtuned fights DON'T COUNT!), instead of praising casual mediocre difficulty raiding. And yeah, I'm sure clearing content when the game is barely a month old makes raiding challenging.... LOL! My guild, and personally, don't really care how easy these things are. Bioware told us raiding was going to be on the casual side, and that's pretty much what we expected coming into the game. So stop making these things look tougher than they are.
  10. Lol at the complete dodge of my argument, funny thing is you don't even realize that most guilds don't go around the forums and post these crappy "**** LOOK WE KILLED EASY CONTENT!" because THEY DON'T CARE, DUE TO HOW EASY THEY ARE. Keep the huge e-peen, i'm sure people will start to care more about your non-significant progress. Not to mention, a few of your guildies already admitted the lack of challenge, get a clue!
  11. Lol, your actually trying to argue against me? Cause THIS IS NOT HARD CONTENT, if you think this is even close to hard, then WOW, your e-peen must be HUGE on beating the special olympics. NM SOA got one-shotted by our ops, then cleared Karaga/EV on normal for new 50s in our guild, then pretty much one shotted 3/5 NM Palace until we ran out of time. We don't raid until Tuesday again, our schedule isn't even hardcore, and this week, we only raided 2 nights out of the 3 nights, 3 hours each, due to RL matters. And yes, I am talking about 16 mans. And to think, we are pretty much a casual guild, most of us are EQ/WoW/Rift hardcore veterans who can longer fulfill the requirements of hardcore raiding. We don't even care for progression, we just play, but man, these kinds of threads are very amusing. Doesn't take a genius to realize how easy these encounters are. Saying otherwise just makes YOU look terrible.
  12. LOL, clearing a raid with the instance barely being a day old does not make it hard, AT ALL. Same thing goes with EV, only reason guilds coulnd't kill was because of over-tuning. No one cares for easy content, progression won't matter till Bioware gives us encounters that requires hundreds of attempts (or close to it) like Blizzard did with WoW plenty of times.
