  1. This is why I turn on subtitles. I can generally read the entire schpeal before the NPCs finish talking. This is also why I tend to stick with guild mates. This way, if I want to enjoy the storyline, I feel I have every right to tell them to shut up. (But I also live with my guild mates (the three I play most with), so it works out even better.)
  2. Yes, I'm enjoying myself, and only see it improving from here.
  3. As someone who enjoyed KOTOR more I'd say it reminds me more of KOTOR. Which is a good thing. Then again, I didn't start playing this game because it was Star Wars, as my attachment to the franchise was nonexistent before playing it. I started playing it because I wanted a game to play with my friends. If anything, this game has been broadening my affection for the fandom, and I've been watching all the movies recently with far more enthusiasm than I did before. It's exciting to watch the movies and be like "Oh crap, I saw that in this game!" Like... dewbacks! It's been increasing my enjoyment for everything. But then again, maybe you didn't want my opinion, as I've been exceedingly happy with this game.
  4. Despite all the doom-and-gloom here, I'm actually really enjoying myself. This game will make a Star Wars fan out of me yet!
  5. It's very helpful on RP servers if you enjoy cross-faction RPing.
  6. My Sith Inquisitor is a light sider.
  7. I know a lot of people who play the market successfully and have fun doing so. And I fail to see how watching your character create the item versus having your companion do it is more involving or less involving. You are still selecting an item from a list, clicking said item, and boom - there it is. I don't see what's more fun about watching your character clap their hands versus having your companion go do it. They're both equally boring, but at least one you can do while you do more interesting things. You say you want stuff besides combat. What would you like to see (besides these things) besides combat? I'm genuinely curious. Mini games?
  8. "I'm responsible for more bodies than a Coruscant cemetery."
  9. Yes, because people who did neither of those things and were hacked actually weren't and were just being paid by the big gaming companies to say they were so we'd all feel obligated to buy security key fobs. Or, you know, download free apps to our phones. I distinctly remember hearing that a lot of people got hacked after gold sellers exploited people who hadn't updated their Flash, allowing them to download malicious code through the holes when these people visited sites like Wowhead or WoW's wiki sites. The same thing could happen to ToR. Yes, searching for exploits or gold selling is a good way to get yourself hacked, but there are people who were completely innocent who had this kind of thing happen to them.
  10. I'm sure they aren't taking out any of the big momentous titles like that. Still, there's no reason to remove even the smallest titles. Just make some titles hard to get so there's some prestige somewhere, at least.
  11. That's bizarre; mine was like that straight outta installation.
  12. I totally agree. Server forums were my favorite way to meet friends from my server on WoW!
  13. Uh, were you reading the thread? The guy was posting about death penalties, and everyone's agreed that WoW's death penalty is more taxing than SWTORs because it involves a graveyard run. No one's saying they want it to be like WoW's ressing system. Hurr.
  14. I can't believe some people are incapable of playing jedi because of... big butts. Wow, really? Is your skin that thin that you just can't... ignore it?
