City of heroes is not a pay 2 win game. every f2p game ea has is.

EVERY ea f2p game is a pay to win game. go look for yourself. i'm not unsubbing right now but i will as soon as i see what Items are going to be available for those cartel coins. if i see pvp and pve gear on them i'm going to unsub for sure.

I usually play pyro in pvp on my merc bh. yea my railshot might not hit as hard as a pt pyro but it still does well. The ability to start damage up and los most caster dps sinches it in my opinion. i still do well vs scoundrels/operatives and only one that can give me a run for my money is a marauder if i can't get him off me.

500/500 Would be far better than 1k/1k then again i guess with this change anyone who has champion or rakata now has absolutely no reason to ever go to illum now or even pick up the daily /weekly wz quests. Talk about pendulum swings every patch.

truth .. know what the difference between a good and bad marauder? hint. on my bounty hunter if i can keep him snared 90% of the time while he never reaches me and dies to my rapdifire (default 0 heat hit) with snare from combustible cylinder and pyro missle debuff .. he's bad. good ones are hard to get off your back once they get in your face.

doesn't take much to prepare your toon for pvp. step 1 visit correlia commendation vendor buy whatever you can to replace what junk you have (leveling blues/greens .. anything sub 49 is not acceptable.) step 2 go to auction house. step 3 search for artifact (pruple) heavy armor lvl 50 step 4 buy said armor step 5 repeat 3 but this time implants and ear. step 6 repeat 3 for weapon/offhand/generator You should by now be sitting on 16k+ hp atleast. if you pvped while leveling maybe you even have that lvl 40 set that just needs to be resocketed.. alot of people are selling the armorplates/mods/enhancements from dailies pretty cheap. either ay no reason ANYONE should be queing up for pvp items level 49 or less. Stop being part of the problem and pick yourself up and try ready yourself.

(i'd try but my bh is mercenary not powertech so i do not have flameburst. (someone pls post difference between pyro missle and flameburst? as i don't feel like rolling a bh to lvl 11 to look at the tooltip. and even if he could .. wait again we are talking roughly 4 global cooldowns + luck .. how much dmg could a sorc do with 4 globals?? (we are not taking consumeables/cooldowns into account.)

op's whine posting reminds me so much of world of roguecraft videos. Seriously he's probably not even in full champion probably has 3/4 green gear and got hit with.. (by the way i have 99% battlemaster gear .. offhand is rakkata and 99% rakatta gear mainhand is battlemaster) i see: Pyro missle (8oo ish dmg) thermal det (avg 3k highest ever 4.9k WITH the target on fire) Powershot (avg 3k max ever 4.5k with target on fire) railshot (avg 3k max ever 4.2k with target on fire) we are talking about 4 gcds + cast time on powershot + waiting .5 seconds on delay so everything lines up. each of the 3 max ever hits by themselves each probably have roughly a 2-5% chance of ever happening. so think about 3 different 2- 5% chances lining up exactly. so let's just be generous and say OP has 16k hp average he'll be hit for 800 and with proper timing right after the 3 other things (due to delay on travel time of powershot AND timer counting down on thermal det) a burst of average 9k. AT BEST IF REALLY REALLY REALLY LUCKY AND OP DOES NOTHING TO PROTECT HIMSELF 12-13k dmg. (oh and if the op has litteraly no pvp gear) HOWEVER there are things you can do. #1 bubble if sorc, cc and los the bh heal up . .pop out with dots and keep frustrating the bh. #2 if operative or commando or mercenary (remove fire debuff .. this will neutrer the damage from all those sources) maybe be near someone capable of removing fire dot (i try remove it off people near me and i'm not a healer spec and i damn sure remove it off my self asap) note for the high abount of dmg .. the stars would have to align with the center of the universe and world peace would probably be achieved.

as soon as i saw it was an nge kiddie video i closed it. i still want a refund for my bandwith wasted and time wasted by you. Find me some pre-cu or atelast minimum CU pvp footage. Wait let me help you with that.. find me some "epic" pvp videos from that time frame. because nge was for kids that couldn't cut it in vanilla wow pvp.

Let's not forget the video showcases: 1. a mid/upper 40's beating usually 20's or 30s at best. 2. what happens when you let any kind of ranged not be focused and "freecast" on a tunnel visisoned target. 3. when 2 isn't in effect it's because him and 2-3 other people are beating on said lvl 30ish player. this video is far from epic. infact 1st requirements to make it epic would be: 1. hit max level 2. stop cropping out the levels of your targes like you did 1/4 of the way into your video. 3. show footage of where you fought atleast 2 people without a healer with you keeping you up and you use some kind of "skill" by breaking los and healing and using cc to take care of one target. 4.if not max level actually beating lvl 50's geared out while you are not geared in duels. till then i want a refund on my bandwith and time wasted by this video. now i'll just leave this here for you to see what i mean: http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=26540 http://www.wegame.com/watch/World_of_Roguecraft_Episode_2/ http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=6140 watch them in order.. then realize what epic pvp videos are.
