  1. This game is not a sandbox type game, and does not have storyteller or chronicles systems and also player cities and housing can help some as well
  2. The story will end unfortunately. In a game like SWG it never ends (unless the game shuts down!), as other players make it that way, or you yourself run out of imagination.
  3. Yep, definately needs a Life Day, and could do with the Ewok Festival of Love to. N.B I am not in a queue, just waiting for SWG servers to come back online
  4. Crafting was, with resource gathering and hunting groups. SWTOR has crafting but nothing to keep you at it like SWG. From the seems of it SWTOR has nothing once you max. Oh dear!
  5. I see, as I predicted people now getting bored once maxed out. If this was SWG, we could do loads of things. Crafting, REing, Creature Harvesting, Beast Master, Space, Battlegrounds, Invasions, Corellian Corvette, exploring, Chronicles, Various Theme Parks etc etc. There was never a dull moment, even when no one was around.
  6. http://uk.gamespot.com/video/bluffers-guide-to-star-wars-games-6347756 SWG is at about 8:30
  7. Goodbye? SWG may be gone, but I am not
  8. There is no disrespect to Bioware at all. Just giving my feedback to them, and if others give same reasons why they too will not play SWTOR, and Bioware can make it happen then fine. I will be playing SWTOR for the story, so I will be playing it, but I do not see myself playing it once I have completed it. Where I say I see no one playing it, is just opinion, as I have not seen anyone post to say that there is enough in the game to keep them playing. I saw one person who played the game to death in Beta and just burned out on it already. I have been playing SWG for over 8 years, and even with the NGE, I feel far from burned out on it, along with many others. I feel I could play SWG forever and ever. The only thing that stopped a lot of people playing was the drastic changes of the NGE, not the game itself, and SWTOR is more or less like NGE but with several years in development unlike NGE which was only a few months. Like I said, will have to see what Bioware churns out - no disrespect at all. Maybe by the tme I have finished with the stories, there will be more added through updates and expansions, that will prove me wrong.
  9. Well duh, game is closing, people seeing no point playing any more. Less time available now to play compared than a resource spawn. If it went F2P it would have been very successful indeed. In June before the closure announcemt 4 servers were full with people and even locked to allow more in, like WOW. As soon as the closure announcement came, it became instantly dead
  10. Yep, now that it has been struck down, it will become more powerful than possibly imagined!
  11. If George Lucas really did that, then that has now made me like him again. Also if there was not all this nonsense with contracts everyone would have been able to play SWTOR ages ago, but instead had to wait for SWG to shut down. For SWG players, we too were looking forward to playing SWTOR, but this now like another repeat of the NGE, and we are not pleased of all this at all For myself, I ended up playing SWG solidly since its closure announcement since June. If it was not closing I would have done more overtime and stuff to get more money to buy a new PC, to play SWTOR with. If my current PC can not play it, then EA/LA will have to wait a few months before I start subbing, and has now put me off getting stuck into this game a lot, in case SWTOR gets shut down for SWG 2 or whatever, but if George did not like it, then that situation may not happen again.
  12. Each to their own Crafting in SWG is awesome. Also space was too, as well as Beast Master and player cities. It offered a lot of end game content. If SWTOR does not have these things or something similar then I do not see myself or anyone playing it as much, therefore atm SWTOR is the weaker game right now and I'll be surprised if it lasts more than 2 years. Will have to see what Bioware churn out over the years
  13. Such a great SW MMO, goes bye bye after Dec 15th I will miss it greatly, and is such a huge loss over christmas. Spend many Life Day events with friends over the years in it, but will not get the chance this year Pity it could not have stayed active until Jan 15th or something, it would have made christmas a whole lot brighter
  14. You had to be subbed by Sep 15th. I assume this is for SWG and not SWTOR, as SWG is the only other Star Wars MMO. This forum is for discussion of all thing Star Wars, not related to SWTOR.
