He stated the same thing .. he wants to play Deception like most of us assassins, but found it lacking. also, .. most of us are PLAYING the game. We do not micro manage a parse. I know what my burst feels like, it does not feel the same. .. at all. My opinion is from inside the Warzone, the play is Dynamic - not static.

My sin is all 208's, min maxed. 1. Our nerf is VERY noticeable. 2. Our CC ability is still good, of course. But I don't play a deception sin to be a CC king, I play it for BURST and control. Hit from the shadows, Burst, cc, disrupt, Burst .. If I want to play a "utility" class, I guess I wont play at all. 3. I rarely see deception sins in WZ's .. yes, I see a few, but I now see a lot more Mara's. 4. See #1. If the nerf was not noticeable, and we all need to shut up .. we would still see the class in game. dec/infil Sins/Shadows almost non existent. 5. After the new content, I really felt good on my Sin. I could play him as I always did, and put out numbers that were respectable compared to my counter DPS guild mates. That's is gone .. again. You fanboi's defending the nerf, .. I don't get it.

I use ravage to pull the interrupt, or CC .. etc. That way, my real burst is waiting after they blow it on the crap ravage.

I am a decent player, .. not the best, not a baddie. I do make mistakes. I DO play the objectives, and I do win matches because of it. I primarily run a deception assassin (pvp), and a vengeance jug in {pve). I rarely PVE. I top the leaderboards with objectives, .. usually in top 5 in damage, really don't look at my damage much. I just play the Warzone as needed. I have had a carnage mara on the backburner for the last 2 years. I level him up when new content comes, I hit the target dummy, I take him on raids on occasion. Although I play an assassin and jug mostly, .. deep down inside - I am a Carnage Mara. After reading some of the posts this last month on here, I decided to play him again. Quickly geared him up with gear, "easy mode here, I can buy min max from the start". I head into the warzones. .. for the last 3 weeks its been interesting .. really its been tough. very tough. Constantly CC'd, constantly focused down by range. Sometimes shine in a one on one, .. sometimes get a healer backing me, and I get to run around and actually do my job. Predation is pretty cool. I usually try to ravage my target, then unload the gore burst window. that's really it .. yes obiscarate, use my defensive cooldowns when I can. CC .. etc. so simple .. yet so hard. I don't play any of the easy range classes, I like melee. I really feel for you guys trying to make your claim that Mara really needs help. It really does. Anyone saying they are fine, .. well .. they are just that much better at the keyboard then me. My job is to DPS. My job is to kill, and kill fast. My job is to assist the team with speed. I don't just jump into a group of baddies, .. butr I do find myself surrounded by a group of baddies. Yes, my jug can survive longer, yes my assassin can pansy his stealthy arse out of there. Mara can escape, but a DIRT nap always follows unless healers show up and actually focus healing me. What concerns me most is when the developers did the character change preview videos before 3.0 came out. Marauders came up in the conversation a couple times. The devs were quickly to dismiss them stating any buff would make them overpowered, .. end of story move on. I recall the one dev stating it very factually that maras were fine and dominated in PVP. I think I actually laughed out loud when he said that, and it became very real to me. They don't play maras, and if they do .. they have a healer stuck on them. At the time, I did not play my mara much, but I also never really saw them much in WZ's. There are times when I NEVER see a mara thru a night of PVP. I know they can do well at times. They pop on me, and sometimes send me home to the respawn faster than I can go "look, two lightsabers, its a MARAUDER" .. those times, I want to play one again. I want to main one. The discipline is in my blood. ouch. Bottom line: all the whining is real. Its tough out there. I do shine in WZ's when the opposing team is bad, really bad. this is rare. If its regular pug on pug, .. ok. I may be able to kinda do my job. But if its against some decent pvp;ers. poke -poke - lights out!!

you said your guide was for ranked. you said stats/gearing etc are different for ranked, solo, and regs.

I know man .. talk about a TON of empty answers. I too would like a simplified answer on what and where to focus my stats and gear for Deception. I see there is a 7 piece Stalker set, with a 7 set bonus. Do I sacrifice to a 5 piece, and use force in 2 spots? Do I just work with the 7 piece, and make adjustments that could be answered by better, and more educated players on this board? Crit Power Surge Accuracy augments I understand things can be finicky, and this may be better than that if your doing this, before that .. but there has to be some sort of guideline. ie. 25% crit, 300 surge? accuracy below 92% .. etc. I am not lazy. But I am definitely poor. I cannot afford the credits, or the in game time to min-max. I log on, and play a few rounds - maybe more.. rest is spent at work, commuting to work, and family duties.

I have been in Dark Legacy for a few months, and have to say they are a great bunch of people. I would like to see more people joining this guild. Mature, Casual-Core (8 man HM), Smart .. and friendly. We run HM progression, and comm runs thru out the week. They have a sign up for guild runs that is 1st come 1st server, so it works out pretty great. Great People ...

umm . . like - do you make a sandwich for a pocket healer before every match? maybe have a commando paint LOS paths? Maybe tell the WZ during countdown the tale of "Brave Sir Robin" really, ***. .. whatever you do, don't use your defensive cooldowns to survive, cuz that's not l33t.

Being a Shadow/Assassin, and rolling a Combat sentinel for 2XP weekend, I am curious how Combat/Car is doing in "RANKED" Arena's? I have searched youtube to see this spec in action post 2.4, not a lot out there. .. if any I could find. I have no interest in playing smash. peace, and thanks for your replies.

At the Seattle Cantina, I asked Damien Shubert about the 60 plus page forum post on the PTS forums concerning Shadows/Assassins deception/infil problems in Arena's (PTS) .. he looked at me like I was a little bit crazy, and he looked semi annoyed . .and do I dare say what he said??? something along the lines of l2P, .. and that maybe they need to put out a "how to play guide" for assassins .... granted, drinks were flowing .. flowing heavy. but still, I drove home (sober) scratching my head. I expected to have a discussion, .. but I literally walked away with my tail between my legs, thinking to myself "more time on the warzone dummy, you dummy" will this post get me banned? .. lol im thinking he may have been thinking I was talking about Tanking. But I clearly was talking deception/infil.

I know .. just remember that you are the 1% .. and don't forget some of us are not uber, .. you sometimes pull things off only seen in a youtube video.

Xinika .. please understand you are an exceptional PVP'er. Please remember you represent the player base, and not just the uber min/max PVP'er. Love your videos, stay true to the core of the class, and remember .. many of us are always in the L2P mode
