  1. The most boring part of any MMORPG is the loading screens. I swear, if I see that picture of the red sith statues one more time, I'll explode. I sure hope BW mixes it up a little one of these days. Might even be nice to allow screen shots from our own albums to show up there.
  2. There's a little problem with your math. When you level up alts, many of the quests are the same. You just fly through those without watching the story cuz you already know it. It is much faster to level up alts while enjoying the story than your formula assumes.
  3. I'm tired of this event. Not quite sure what a "horror" genre event is doing in Star Wars, but whatever. At least it is ending soon.
  4. 2 thumbs down on this event. I don't like vomitting. I don't like the constant loud announcements on fleet. I don't like the sounds the infected people make. I don't like the fleet lag. I understand and respect that some people like this event.
  5. When searching for blue quality augments using the categories (Item modifications, augments, level 49-50, quality blue), you can search for word fragments like "solve" and get resolve augments to appear, but not so when searching the artifact quality items. With the artifact quality, any phrase you search for will only return items whose names START with whatever you are searching for. For example, you can get the Advanced Resolve Augment 22 to show up using the categories and the phrase "Advanced Res" but not simply "Res", whereas you don't have that same restriction on the blue quality search.
  6. When I type in the word " augment" (I use a space then the word) the GTN returns a few pages of augments and schematics for augments. I didn't use any of the categories, just a phrase search. Five seconds later, when I search the categories for Item Modifications, Augments, level 49-50, the search returns many more pages than the first phrase-only search. I'm not sure how limiting my search terms can result in MORE returns, but it does. Another example: I have 2 level 49 purple resolve augments (Advanced Resolve Augment 22) currently for sale. I confirm them on my sales page. So I search Item Modifications, Augments, level 49-50, rarity: purple (the pink one), and I type in the phrase "res" or "resolve" or "solve" the GTN search shows that none are for sale, even though I have confirmed I have 2 for sale. If I change the color to blue, (keeping all else the same) and retry, the blue ones show up, but the purple ones still don't show up. If I leave the phrase blank, and search for purples, then all sorts of purples show up, including the resolve ones that I couldn't find with the other searches. Something is wrong.
  7. Anyone else notice a loud background noise on the fleet? It sort of sounds like howling wind to me. Hard to describe. I've got my ambient noise option set to 1% of max and it still kinda bugs me. Anyone else out there notice this?
  8. What's missing in this game is STARS. The SW movies blew people away in part because of the cool outer-space special effects. The game has everything else, but it really dropped the ball with very short and very cheesy space graphics.
  9. The man was talking about loosening the leash so the companion would be a few feet away, not 20m. Seriously, Khem Val's leash is too short, and his hit box too big.
  10. They do need to do something to try and put some actual STARS into this STAR WARS game! They only time you see stars is for four seconds when you are jumping from one planet to another. Just one very cheesy graphic, where anywhere you are going next somehow always involves just a slight turn toward the right, then off to hyperspace where the stars hide, then you're done. How about do away with orbital stations and expand the travel graphics? I suppose you can also see stars when you do the optional space battles, but rail shooters are too 1990 for me to stomach. Please do SOMETHING to put the stars back into star wars, they're not optional!
  11. EQ2 got housing right. For me, it was one of many things that kept me playing the game for 3 years. In EQ2, the city had a few pre-built neighborhoods. Each neighborhood had one or two house that players could buy, and it would be an instance so in fact many many people might live at #12 Elm St. In your house, you could sell items that other players could buy off the auction house for full price, or they could find your stuff via that AH and go directly to your house to get the same item directly from your house and avoid paying the AH markup fee. And it was the ONLY way players of the opposite alignment could buy your stuff (if they were brave/capable enough to get to your house without dying). You could put crafting stations in your house, which, iirc gave small crafting bonuses but were very hard to get. You could craft furniture of various qualities to put in your house, and the furniture made from rare mats was truly amazing looking. On days when I got bored with pvp and pve, and playing the market, there was always housing to play with. It really helped to get through the dolldrums and keep things going one more day. Eventually my house was so full of trophies and rare crafted furniture and all the most expensive flooring and wallpaper, that it became a real source of pride for me. And it didn't create an ever-growing neighborhood of emptiness.
  12. yeah, that's his hit box, apparently. Need to make it smaller!
  13. I agree with the OP that there is some problem here. I'm not sure what he's saying about crafting gear seven levels above what he needs, but there is some problem. Crafting on this game just isn't as fun as it has been on others. Hopefully 1.2 will help, but I just spent the last 2 hours trying to get 4 level 33 items up from green to that pinkish-purple color. Basically 2 bumps up for four items. I had 2 alts non-stop sending crew on missions to supply mats for this endeavor. In addition, I spent 30k credits on reasonably-priced mats from the GTN, because my alts couldn't keep up. After 2 hours, I've gotten 1 item up 1 step (to blue). At this rate, it will take me 16 hours of non-stop crafting to get four items bumped up two levels each. So much for their original advertisement that this game would be different, because you can get your crew to craft for you while you are doing other more important stuff. This is MUCH more time-intensive than other games I've played to try and craft decent gear. One bump on one item in 2 solid hours of losing cash just isn't fun.
  14. loosening the leash would be nice (if making his head click-throughable would be hard to do). A longer leash would mean I, as the player, don't have to constantly wait a second and reposition my approach to every corpse, mailbox, player, and every other thing I want to click on. It does get annoying, and this would be such a simple fix.
