  1. I'm loving the variety of companions, especially the creature companions for those who like such things. As a droid fanatic, I'd love to see more astromechs -- especially the Imperial "R4" (CN-R4 on Nar Shaddaa) variety that already exits in game.
  2. Your level: 65 Roughly Average Item Rating: 208 Discipline: Defense (Jedi Guardian / Defense) Companion: T7 Companion role: Healer Companion Influence level: 20 Which Mission or Star Fortress are you playing (Solo Mode? Heroic Mode?): Solo, H2+ and Star Fortress Your personal experience while playing this content: I have a lot of experience playing this character. It has been my main since launch - Day 1. I have tanked everything from 4-man Flashpoints to Ops. Have not grouped on this character since 4.0. Healing from companions since 4.0 is down, WAY down, by more than 75%. But you know this. I find H2s are very difficult. Everything above an H2+ is damn near impossible. Before 4.0 with Doc fully geared and healing, I was tough to take down. I rarely died. I know how to pull out survivability with this character. After the 4.0 update, I never died. After the 4.0.2 Update, I die more than I did pre-4.0. The nerf bat was swung and hit much too hard. Your level: 50 Roughly Average Item Rating: Good Question (level 48-ish mods?) Discipline: DPS (Jedi Sentinel / Combat) Companion: T7 / Kira Companion role: Healer Companion Influence level: 15 on Kira, 12 on T7 Which Mission or Star Fortress are you playing (Solo Mode? Heroic Mode?): Grouping Story Mode and H2+. Your personal experience while playing this content: I started this character a few weeks ago, right after the 4.0 update. I primarily solo and team up with a friend who plays a Smuggler (Gunslinger) they typically use the Wookiee as a tank or DPS while I have T7 or Kira on heals. We mostly play story content and daily heroic 2+ missions. We ran a test of Alderaan H2's last night, healing was ridiculously low from T7, we had to use pots often. Their Wookiee was not holding aggro very well. I had to mini-tank to keep us alive -- on a Sentinel! Particularly in the Kwillik caves. While we never died (both experienced players), I saw 10% health often. The battles were very tough at times and I would imagine that less experienced players would have wiped multiple times. Saw many other players soloing and dying. Advice (For What It's Worth): Please use the Test Server for these kinds of changes. And offer subscribers incentives to use the Test Servers and to provide feedback: An exclusive mount for time spent, an exclusive outfit, etc. SOMETHING for our time. You have the infrastructure to stop this crap from ever happening again. USE IT!
  3. Here's the reality. Bioware didn't play test the changes in 4.0 (with the community) and they didn't play test these recent changes. They don't listen to the community. They say they do, but it's propaganda. That is evidenced by the fact that 99% of customer service issues receive no actual help but merely an automated response. The reality is, Bioware hasn't concerned themselves with what the community wants since this game went Free to Play and they fired the majority of their customer service staff -- who were awesome, by the way. If they did care you would see evidence of that and not just a statement from a developer. If they did care they would invite the community to play test and receive solid feedback before making community dividing changes like this. There are a ridiculous number of things the community hated about 4.0 (like removing moddable gear vendors) but they never gave us the opportunity to voice our opinion. There are features we have asked for since Day 1. But since going F2P they've never showed the slightest interest in listening to those ideas nor have they acknowledged them. If they had, I would feel differently. But they simply don't care. They have numbers to hit and every change or addition is about bringing in new players and keeping the existing player base buying on the cartel market. I'm resigned to that. I sub because this is the only Star Wars MMO on the market. I've accepted that they really don't care what I think and if I need help with something, I'm on my own. Until something better comes along, I'm here and I don't think they will ever really give a flying f*&k what I think should change to make this a better game. Is it right? No. Should it change? Absolutely. If you sub and buy on the cartel market, your opinion should matter. But it doesn't. The only thing that matters is what the brass tells them to do to keep their jobs. I wish my opinion weren't so cynical. I wish I could be an uber fanboy and support them but I have no evidence that they truly listen to anyone but themselves. They will continue to listen to themselves until they are the only ones playing this game.
  4. Unfortunately, support won't do anything. They'll send you their standard automated message. In fact, the guild leadership transfer is an automated system itself. We just went through this. You have to wait until the inactive guild leader is inactive for about 28 days or 4 weeks. Good luck!
  5. I agree with much that was said in that episode. Again, the SWTOR team had an opportunity to raise the bar. Yet on more than one occasion they have chosen to ignore such opportunities. I agree with Gary Gannon's assessment that clueless or indifferent leadership is at play here. Being in the creative industry myself, a lot of the issues look like the decisions of creative leadership that is either simply clock punching, don't care or are clueless. Despite the team size and the many issues on their plate, they COULD have taken the challenge of Life Day and elevated it to something engaging, meaningful and story-driven. But they didn't. They chose the easy way out. I want to believe that this team has the interest of the fans in mind, but it is clear that their priority (either by their own intention or not) is the cash shop and nothing more. And let's face it, the team has seen better days...it's got to be a tough place to walk in to every day and keep your chin up. This team needs new leadership that wants to challenge the situation, meet it head on with positivity and passion and inspire this team to dig deep and live up to the original core values of SWTOR. As Guy Kawasaki says, "If you make meaning, you will make money." Stop trying to chase money and make some meaning for a change. Regardless, the passion is gone and it's starting to show.
  6. OP, I respectfully disagree. I was actually thinking the opposite and I quite enjoyed the scavenger hunt which to took me to places I hadn't been in awhile. Thank Goodness it didn't require 3 months of raiding to get it.
  7. You can't ask for a better group of people, some fine role-players and a very interesting group RP story line!
  8. Add me to the list on wanting a barber shop feature, as well as a race change feature.
  9. Bioware didn't make the Hero Engine. It is not even owned by Bioware. It is a licensed product. Anyway, love Togruta and would love to see them as a playable species.
  10. Well Skywalker is against the TOS anyway and shouldn't even be allowed upon creation. I don't really see a problem with your second issue. I'm sure there is a douchebag or two with your real life last name, does it stop you from keeping your last name?
  11. This whole issue with people not getting their names could be fixed by making your character's First Name + Legacy Name the unique identifier. For instance, instead of "John" as the character name (and the unique ID), the name of that character would include the Legacy name of "Doe"...so "John Doe" is the unique identifier not 'John' or 'Doe'. Additionally, for this mechanic to work, Legacy naming would happen with the creation of your first character. Personally, I believe it should anyway. This allows for multiple Johns and multiple Does, but only one 'John Doe'. Certainly there will be the odd case in which someone will not get their full name, but this would likely be extremely rare.
