Bioware, Flamethrower/Firestorm animation needs to be longer
Sommyboy replied to Swerto's topic in Vanguard / Powertech
While we are at it, Advanced Prototype could use some variety in animation, u do the same wrist animation for most of his attacks. Something with using the gun, like shield spec heat shot. -
Thank you BioWare for the best expansion yet.

Im currently playing as a Bounty Hunter for the first time. Even though the game is linear there I actually feel like im in charge here. I can kill stuff, freeze stuff, spare them, I always have 3 dialogue options that always lend different answer, might even affect hows the rest of the dialogue is operated. When I accomplish something I feel like I acomoplished something on my own. KoTFE on the other hand, everyone calls you commander and treat you like some kind of amazing leader but I don't remember making ONE memorable decision in the whole expansion. You don't have ANY input on whats going on. All I remember is being a fetch slave and yes guy for all the cliche companions I met on the way. All i remember is shooting at Arcann with cutscene pistol even though, with help of marr and Satale, I made a giant *** minigun for that purpose only. As a Sith warrior i can chose to kill people or torture them every few minutes, in KoTFE I'm just a big talk loser who can't do stuff. I'm forced to coopare with shady robot that will betray you that (shockingly!) betrays you for no real purpose whatsoever. Quality over quantity? I'm willing to say KotFE is story-wise worst thing that ever got spit out with BioWare name on it. -

We're only comparing stories and characters, since that was kotfe was adveristed and delivered as. I want them to finally learn and to put some effort into swtor (I don't care about MEA yet) instead of giving us the same tropes and cliches over and over again. Hell, if they would only provide a story content thats the same quality as the vanilla class stories are. -
Are you missing the Foundry/Hammer station etc exclusive sets? If you do, how would you like to see them re-introduced? Personally I think deleting them was the biggest letdown of 4.0 for me. It was the best way to get a steady income of new looking gear every few levels, and made running the fps and loot overall much more exciting.

Oh you mean the famous BioWare storytelling from mass effect 3 where 2 biggest choices from previous games didn't matter at all? Dragon Age Inqisition where the choices were maliciously presented as important (Do you want to help your commander get rid of his drug addiction?) but didn't play any role in the later game at all? Or the whole kotfe which was made specificaly for LS jedi knight and doesnt make sense for any other class and choices? Sounds like real choice-driven experiences to me. I'm just hoping Witcher 3 GOTY, which demolishes latest bioware games in terms of story, character, and your impact on the world, gonna sell even better to prove to BioWare that it's time to change. -

Can u just explain to me why do you mean by "Bioware storytelling" that u put in nearly every post u make. -
What you have to understand is that Vanguard is meele range spec, and most of his abbilities work only 5 meters away from enemy. As for the assualt cannon, they are cool but the novelty wore off really quickly for me, not to mention that Mercenary animations , especially for gunnery/arsenal spec, are much more fitting and makes commando looks like a bad cosplayer (running away using jetpack versus shooting a propulsion round under your feet) . If you really wanna use the blaster rifle (just like me when I started playing the game), I think Agent is your only choice.

Hello there! Im having hard time choosing between Mercenary and Powertech for my new toon adv class. Sorry for the wall of text. Here's a little backstory . I focus on PVE (dps) but i play the warzones for exp (and I do enjoy them). My first character was a sniper but I quickly lost interest in him after finishing the story (I used the marksmanship tree, people usually say its rather boring). My first character that actually got me hooked for more then 250 hours was commando - assault specialist. I absolutely loved everything about him - giant *** cannon, gun animations and sounds, fun and demanding rotation, I still enjoy playing a fp or two with him. Right now I've started my new character, a bounty hunter. I would go mercenary hands down, i love the visual appeal of two blasters. But I'm afraid i will get burned out before i even reach the end of the story - playing bascially the same class second time. So I wanna try PT, but i have few questions. I want to focus on burst damage (im kinda tired of the dot focus of assault specialist), so im aiming towards AP. But from what i've read, people say it a braindead speciality and extremely easy to learn. Since people said same thing about sniper, Im afraid i'll get burned out really quickly. I also noticed that the 90% of his attack have the same wrist animation. So to anyone with lots of hours as PT ordnace - is the class still enjoyable after finishing the story? Also whats the community opinion on pyro speciality? (The same issue - is it fun after many hours and hows the rotation? How much is it based on dots?)).

Was thinking about starting a new character, a Jedi Guardian. The thing is, I want to be able to focus on the actual fighting as much as possbile, without looking at quickbar too much (awesome lightsaber fights, roleplaying and all that stuff). I think putting the quickbars in right place could minimalise the loss of focus while looking at cooldowns. I saw many cool quickbar sets where everything was put in one square, or two squares, near the avatar, which looked like something that might work. Unfortunately I got used to putting quickbars to the side due to low resolution I used when started playing, but now with higher one I think I can start working towards creating new quickbar habits .My question is - what quickbar placements u recommend, also screenshots and explanation on the actual placement are most welcome. This is how my UI looks right now http://postimg.org/image/53z45mugl/full/

Hello there! Im starting a second character in swtor, the previous one being imperial sniper. Im having problem deciding which crew skills I should take. I mastered the biochem>diplomacy>bioanalysis route as an agent, so I can always send my trooper the stims and medpacs he needs. Since i already have alt with biochem mastered, what other route should I take as a Vanguard Tank? I chose armortech, investigation and slicing so far (investigation for schematics, slicing because I heard its profitable?) , but im thinking about just choosing 3 gathering skills for pure credits profit. Any ideas, tips?

Hello there. Im a new player and Im trying to enjoy the outfit designer thing, but there is few things that i dont quite get. Let me explain it with a example. Here is my character current setup http://postimg.org/image/3ydkuwa95/ But I just found a gorgeus white imperial uniform that looks amazing ,especially with the unify color option, but sadly it have worse stats. http://postimg.org/image/82hpr71hh/ I thought I could wear it with outfit designer but I stumble into this problem http://postimg.org/image/86vaikrgz/ I cannot use the unify color option which I really like. Is there is some way to "fix" it? I assume its becasue the torso in outfit designer cannot unify color of items I am actually wearing but still, Its actually what I want it to do. Any advice owuld be most appreciated
