I used to really enjoy running the original stories over and over and over again. It was a lot of fun and had some hint of challenge. I do miss the days when a patrolling Silver would suddenly mess up your day. Or it took several tries to finish a challenging culmination of a side quest. Not to mention the big chapter finales/fights! There was a sense of accomplishment for me personally that is sorely lacking. I would like at least the option to toggle the difficulty from drooling, one handed monkey mode to the classic difficulty.
I guess it was a surprising move to me as well, for a game that can not make enough content to satisfy... for them to make everything a one button speed burn? Must be the new math. But I don't get it. And it has led to me not enjoying this game half as much as I used to, if not more.
While I do love the quality of life improvements, at this point? I would trade them in for a game that actually required something resembling thought, rotation or gear.
But, that's just me.
