  1. I think people don't relly learn until it's absoloutely needed... Like it is in many harder bosses. Interupts are key to many fights in Ops, Boss fights and even PVP if you can keep track of it in all the mayhem, Interupt the healer for the win LOL. But you can learn a lot as someone said by hovering over each ability and reading the tool tips... I was actually in a flashpoint for the red Reaper and read his tool tip to figure out how to beat him after we had done a few unsuccesful attempts and were running low on time because a patch update maintenance break was coming in an hour. I read the tool tip told my sole other group member and together we beat the flash point. So reading as they say is fundamental RIF LOL.
  2. No One seems to have a definitive answer, It seems people have been asking why some people have started augmenting alacrity. I myslef use a few I just want some of my spells to cast faster, faster cast should help in those situations when you are almost dead and so are they... The quick and the dead as they say... So that's probably where that thought comes in... Most peopls say just main stat orthers say diminishing returns so better to go with power or Main and power or main and Crit with some surge... What is really best Balanced or all of certain ones... and now also the need for some accuracy to not have misses as much as that too affects DPS. Is there a good combo that works best for PVP I'm in particular looking for a Sage Telekinetics Gearing but a general PVP gearing guide would be nice. I'm currently mostly in Dark Reaver PVP gear with 4 Exhumed still needing replacement. But need to know what Augments to get in general and no one seems to know or have a guide for 3.2 even Dulfy is mainly for PVE build but it sounds confusing as no one seems to understand what is best for now.
  3. Running backwards works fine in certain instances... Especially for sages that can use this in conjunction with force wave / push to reallty create fast distance while still casting. Sometimes we just want to get to the safety zone where our team mates are and burn down the opponent enough so the team can finish him or heal you while you finish him. If the camera sytem wasn't so screwey at times kyting wouldn't be as bad. I agree running backwards sometimes makes it harder to see where you are going. But in real live sparring IE Kung Fu People have a natural instinct to turn away when they feel overwhlmed, but our backs have more vulnerable spots, we aren;t turtles with hard shells but rather soft kidneys and pressure points that are easy to hit when you turn your back. I use the S key and proud of it. I also use the w, the d and a LOL and actually have been using a new strategy run away backawards then se force spedd to run the other way as they are force leaping to you etc... it's funny to watch and effective at times as they miss their mark. Or wait for the leap and force push em back in mid air. For Assasins same run away then towards. the side etc... I've survived a few warzones like this and ended up with Zero death and about 15-30 kills other times it's like you say... I basically trip over myself running into obstacles LOL but just remember... You take away a key and you BIND yourself.
  4. I know it's frustrating playing against a premade team because that means they ussually have audio communications set up so their hands are free to just play not have to type messages like P or pylon, w, e while dying etc... It makes it seem like they are everywhere at once because they can respond faster since their calls are made instantly. They also switch fcus fire on the fly.. But we've beaten the premade teams many times, there's no excuse, quitters make PVP less fun and make teams less effective. It also makes you less effective as a player... if you always play scrubs you will never improve your skills. A sword sharpens on a stone but a warrior only sharpens his skills on other warriors.
  5. EXACTLY, the most frustrating part of PVP is when you have people quit because they feel ther's no way we will catch up... Happens a lot on Pylons, happens on Novare Coast and I guess everywhere, but we've managed to come back many times. But the quitting makes it harder if players don;t get replaced fast enough. Had one poor guy end up going 1 on 4 against my team because one person quit then the other 2 quit immediately after... felt so bad for him It was pub vs pub so when he was in the next PVP on our team had to vote for him for having the heart to play it through to the next round when He finally got some help LOL.
  6. Sometimes it's like that depends if One team plays as a team or if there are a bunch of small squirmishes everywhere. I noticed a special ability in the tree that stops all that over stunning crap and my huttball improved immediately when I switched my perks. Still many times you get triple teamed or more and the slow and stuns are so much you can't even toss the ball in time LOL. But lately Pubs on the Harbinger have been winning or nearly matching at 4 vs 4 5vs 5 etc... and it really has come down to who posseses the ball last at that point. Ned to pay attention to the timer I'v kind of missed that a few times not realizing how little time was left. Imps tend to try and control the center and the goal line as much as possible setting up passes that way which is why they sometimes score fast. You have to be aware of that and knock em of platforms, into fires, into hazards etc... Personally I like the New Quesh PVP Hutball arena more than the old LONG version. The multi level makes it more interesting and fun.
  7. It could also be you are coming back with old PVP gear that has less armor and while your expertise may be 2018 just like the rest the others maybe rocking the higher rated PVP gear which gives them bonuses on their other stats including their main stat. They also raised the level of Augments so if you arent using advanced 36 Augments you are less geared than someone that added the Level 10 Augment kits and the Level 36 Augments to every piece of PVP gear they own. It adds up and the Relics are much higher in the new gear a jump from +400 to +700 main stat or power or crit makes a big difference and could be part of what is hitting you harder. I get hit for 12K all the time and am in almost full dark reaver gear Only have 4 more pieces to upgrade from exhumed. They might be figuring the heals are a little more powerful and the shields are more powerful since we have stronger stats overall. Personally I've had a few 4 vs 4 groups where both sides are healing so fast we all went into overtime with zero kills and finally we burned down one healer for the win, next round went a little faster once we figured who to go after first and also how to separate them from each other. But a few times as a Sage I have been the guy they go after assuming I might also be able to heal or just after a round where I burned em from a distance and they focus fire you and your health drops dramatically. Sometimes I survive with heals and other times well... x( LOL I'm still trying to find a good guid to 3.2 / 3.3 sage build Because I am not sure what is best for augments etc...
  8. Quiters are part of the reason for most of the PVP losses, We have had 3 people quit because of a rough start and end up coming back and winning the entire thing, I've also come into battles in the middle and have helped turn things around, some are savable others well no matter how hard you try can't be saved. There is no excuse for quitting and I have noticed a few people tyhat tend to quit often. As for people quitting at the very beggining, some people trty and blame their team mates for everything and see a certain name on the board and assume just because that person did low on a particular game that they will always play poorly or something like that. Often the complainers tend to be the ones that are lowest in the achievements board anyway LOL. No games are ever won by quitting. Also others sometimnes say things like we can't win they have more DPS on their side... we won... LOL Don;t quit and don;t give up either.

    A PvP a Day...

I would say don't close your chat box as one person suggested, You need that open for communications from your team... If they say they need help on east door / turret etc you will need to try and help if you can etc.
  10. Thanks, I have 2 Pieces to turn in from EC-NM (Explosive Conflict Nightmare Mode) and it drives me crazy finding stuff on fleet. They should implement a search for vendor or area tool or get the map notes / symbols to work properly again they don't seem to work the way they're supposed to anymore. It's supposed to show your checkmarked items on the map but for me it only does 1 item at a time or not at all sometimes. - DJ Emir Jedi Sage
  11. PS: Totally understand why you like PVP more, it is less predictable and sometimes more challenging. PVP is much like what is said by Han Solo in Star Wars "Good against remotes is one thing, good against the living..." You will however get much better at PVP by also doing PVE and Vice versa those that only do one or the other will only stifle their skills and abilities. You also need this experience to at least find datacrons for your main character because at level 55 without anymore "Bolster" every little bit counts.
  12. If you were really wanting to up your PVP game you would actually do at the very least a few OPS and flash points knowing you'd have an opportunity to pick up fast and strong rewards that will help you optimize your character and make you the credits needed for upgrades. Remember when One Eye is constantly fixed on the prize, there is only one eye left with which to to find the path. Also if you go through with at least one character to end of chapter 2 you get a boost that augments all your characters with that BUFF. This helps a lot if you die in PVP and no one is around to add those buffs back onto you. If you have team mates that tend to forget to rebuff upon death it helps to have all the buffs built into your character and buff yourself and others in one motion. Without all the buffs on it makes PVP a little harder if you go against a steroid induced team of Buffed players. I personally took a small decrease in overall PVE gear to add in a few PVP mods to some of my gear and switch off gloves and lower robe when switching between the two environments. I don't often run into problems with NPC's as I do with PVP if I end up flagged for PVP so I like it a little more balanced for those surprise attacks while I'm trying to take on a boss as can happen on ILUM for instance after hitting the PVP area during a gree event etc. It's funny when they attack and you're like SURPRISE even at half health I still take you down and heal myself at the same time. I'm still waiting to get the ultimate gear and 30X Mods. I'm slowly getting there with the Ranked PVP comms.
  13. In addition you may find later that you need to leave an area... like after a few of The Flash Points like Athesis there are no exits built in you have to click on your mini map where it says "Exit Area" to get back to the fleet or previous location. I took me forever to find it the first time LOL.
  14. I was probably level 24 on my first toon before I realized how to equip gear onto my companion. I tried everything from dragging and dropping it onto their bodies, portrait etc... with constant error messages saying do you really want to destroy this piece of equipment?" where I would panics saying NO NO NO! LOL before I discovered you just need to open the companion tab under the character stats section then all gear they can wear in your inventory will highlight for them. Once I started gearing them up, giving them all my "gently used equipment" LOL they started lasting longer. Right now my level 55 Tharan Cedrax Companion has better armor than I do LOL but then I have Light Armor (Curses on you light armor) and he has medium armor. I do prefer my healing comp over my damage comps in most hard areas as survive-ability goes up significantly with them since I don't have to baby sit them and heal them and myself as often.
  15. Some days they are attracted to the bubble and I have 4 people trying to put the hurt on me at the same time. Being the Bubble Boy I am and having healing abilities and group damage abilities like force in balance and telekinetic wave (I went for hybrid on my latest build) I can take down a whole group solo if I still have interrupt abilities and stun break out abilities available as well as war zone med packs and war zone stims still usable. If not they eventually kill me but take so long doing so as I'm healing myself that they miss other opportunities to kill others who then take their revenge for a fallen ally. It backfires when that pesky Utility Bar Unlock problem happens and instead of attacking I start dragging and either throwing away abilities or replacing abilities by mistake... (wish they'd fix that already) I've seen a few complaints here and there about people that can't be killed in War Zones but I think they simply don;t realize that person is usually being healed by someone else, while shielded, taking stims and popping medpacs. I remember one round where I kept taking three guys down to 1000k and then they were all springing back up real fast, but they had the same problem with me as I kept healing myself as well and I kept having to heal others around me as well. We stayed in the center Turret section battling each other for 3 minutes straight with no one dying til I found that pesky little healer of theirs hiding in the rafters LOL that's when we finally took over the center section.
