Like you I'm also returning after being gone for a long time but found a lot of great information on the "SWTOR Escape pad cast". The latest episode "#315:Gears of war" had some great information helping me understand the current game and new gear system. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing the help.

We've all seen thread after thread, of players asking for the option to change their advanced class. Now I don't think anyone really expects the development team to add this (I'm sure they have many reasons why) but I think I have an idea that could work. It's not a PAINLESS idea... but it's at least "an idea". I'll use my assassin to demonstrate... The "Restart token".. Purchased from the Cartel Market. When used,the player is prompted to choose (in this case) Assassin if I wanted to play through the story again with that character OR Sorcerer if I wanted to change my advance class.I make my choice and find myself flying to Korriban to start Harkun's verbal abuse all over again.(Maybe I'll let him live this time?) What do I loose??.. All items on my person are removed and sent to my restarted character via email. I don't have the level to use them, so I'll just leave them there for now. The emails sent to my new characters are re sent because I'm starting over. All cargo hold items are unavailable because I don't have a ship anymore, but WILL be in cargo when I do get my ship back.Most companions are lost but all relationships reset to zero. Dark side/Light side point of course are also reset. My story companions are all lost but thats because I need to meet them again in the story. Why would I do this? What do I keep?... Special companions (in my case Shae Viizla) are available by email like any other new character I may create. Special companions earned like HK-51 for example, or purchased like Treek are NOT lost, but still reset to zero like you just met and reset to default gear so be sure to place any items you want to keep in your cargo hold (Remember, I'm restarting so they don't have the level to use that gear anymore).Now I get the restart or advanced class change I wanted, and don't need to worry about name availability like a new character or after any possible server merger type issues because this character is restarted.. not new. I still have my high level gear in cargo, I just can't use it until I level up. So there it is.. like I said, it's not painless, but it's an idea.

We need a body type between styles 2 and 3. I gave my assassin body type 3 because he's tall, but wish he wasn't so "buff". I would love to have the mass of body 2, but as tall as body 3.

I have a feeling the characters will all be original creations. No disrespect to Bioware, but why would a film studio spend millions on a film just to use someone else's story? They may use the SWTOR or KOTOR timeline, but not the characters. Im not a Revan fan so Im ok with this.

Exactly what is it you want? They are making NPC's romance-able now by male AND female characters, available hair colors run the spectrum, and anyone can wear a dress. Seriously?!?....what are you asking them to do??

Before this game came out, I created a story that followed a young Sith and his rise to power. His story is a very sad one, and actually very "human". I wanted to create something that showed a Sith before and after his soul was lost, and not just some "cool bad guy" for the hero to beat on. The rise to power of the SI was the one class that had the closest feel to the story I had created all those years ago, and It's the one that always pulls me back. I've been gone since 2017 and just came back last week.... cause I needed THAT feeling again.

With news that there is going to be an Old Republic era movie, there is a possibility (however unlikely) that we could see some existing characters show up. This game definitely has a TON to choose from. Are there any characters from this game you'd like to see show up in an Old Republic film? (even if just a cameo).. and who would you like to see play that character? For me it would be Darth Baras played by Conleth Hill. Every time I saw him on GOT I thought to myself "someone REALLY needs to make this guy Darth Baras.

As a warrior,how can you not LOVE Tremel....some of the best voice acting in the game. On the light side,I would love to see more of him... maybe as a Lord or a Darth. With a new hand of course

Mine is a female, and at the academy she used the force to seduce her rivals in order to get close to them, to kill them. She is the Star Wars version of a Black Widow and at the academy she became known as "Paramour" or in time "Darth Paramour". The other RP server has one (Im on Ebon Hawk), but mine is the original. the word Paramour= http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Paramour?s=t Also.. A trick she learned from her master Darth Anomalous, she is able to hide the corruption from the force so she is more pleasing to the eye.. but for some she must still use the force, because she is a pureblood.
