  1. cool thanks for the reply. didn't realise that F2/3/4 we're friendlies, i've been clicking/mis-clicking a lot and its annoying me. this is a great tip so thank you for that. I will be looking into adjusting the name plates to show health and percentages too. do the F2/3/4 keys correspond in order going down the list as in F2 is top group member, F3 is middle and F4 is bottom or the other way around? This will help me greatly in healing my allies thank you
  2. Hi Commando Community. From a lot of reading I have been doing here, (and everywhere else) I'm hearing a lot of bad things about commando's healing. I chose my commando because I wanted the flexibilty to switch from DPS/Healer when needed should I join a guild. I'm currently leveling as a Healer to which I have to say I'm finding it a lot of fun doing. Specially when trying to heal FP/WZ. Granted I don't know the class 100% yet and I'm only level 27 but I like the challenge when healing in FP's. I'm an old skool wow player at heart and my main was a druid healer and i played in the times when you could constantly top people off. I'm liking the challenge that when in FP's its almost a stuggle to keep people up. So used to using mods like healbot I've gotten lazy in my approach. Can anyone give an tips on healing as in how you go about it yourselves. I'm not particually looking at tactics or what buttons to press but more-over advice on how you heal, do you click portraits? Keybind? Point and click on nameplates. What do you find easiest and most efficent. I'm always willing to learn and would appreciate the comminuties input. Thank you in advance for reading and for any replys.
  3. Swtor has a good repuation for questing and with that in mind when you pick up a new [Class Quest] new quests open up in the area your about to venture into for the class one. So its worth picking those out on route and doing them as a whole. This way when you return to hand in class quests you can turn in anything else you have been doing to further help the republic war effort. Its all I've done with the occasional FP/WZ/Space Missions and i'm out leveling the content I'm going too. If you can find the right balance you should be hitting the story content at the right levels, which is within one or two of the mobs. If you can be a little stronger before them you can then just fly through the Story missions instead of all the quests, its about finding the right balance of play for your gaming style, and also to what you enjoy.
  4. I would like the option to [Flirt] with the general but tbh, when she scolds me, (which is all the time) I get a little turned on. She has junk in that trunk and from the back has the body of a 20+ in her prime, from the front below the head its prime, from head up its not nice Gotta admit, this thread has kept me very entertained while working yesterday
  5. Last night i discovered the set your refering too and bought both the Chest and Helm for my trooper. The outcast set is truely nice, i like its simple look and me with a assault cannon make it look awesome. I've seen some greens with the same helm but don't think that helps with your query. I will keep my eyes peeled and if I discover a orange one I will drop you a line on here. Agreed though, it is sexy.
  6. I'm leveling my commando as a healer and finding it really simple to do. I'm using the combat medic tree and I'm doing the odd FP/WZ. Questing is ok as commando have a lot of AOE so trash packs aren't a problem. Either use the Mortar volley when off CD or Plasma Grenade and mix in some other moves that AOE. I'm loving it and personally I've started using tank companion for hard elites and normal trash using Aric. He is pretty good at mowing down trash. All in all I feel its as speedy as any other with more control over how long you survive and also how long you can keep your companion alive.
  7. i think the armor you can make from synthweaving gives heavy armor bonusus to the Jedi and Sith classes, eg a Sith Inquisitor that decides to tank as assassin spec still uses willpower as a main stat, whereas a bountyhunter in powertech who tanks would use things like strength which is where mostly you find heavy armor that has those stats. I'm not 100% certain but this would seem to be the only reasons as I have a bountyhunter with armormech crafting and I create things for me and I have synthweaving on my Inquisitor and most stats on that comes with willpower. Hope this may help you a little.
