For a PvE aspect, I use it all the time. It's a really high damage dot, that if you can afford the heat and cast time, is a great weapon. Just make sure your tank has acquired a good bit of the aggro, as in don't pop it as soon as your tank engages a mob. And also obviously try to hit grouped mobs. In fact, just last night I was doing a couple quests with a juggy. I would spread my dots around while she was getting some good aggro. Then when the time was right I used thermal detonator, fusion missile and pop off DFA. I'll just say, that **** was fun. They burned down quick.

What do you think about the Stabilizers spec, that reduces pushback on PS and Unload?

In my opinion, Bodyguard spec will get some kind of buff soon to put it on level field with other healers. I'm not sure what the real advantage of BH healer is...

Some other ideas to go along with these... Here's a couple things I do. Mouse Button 4: Next target. As a healer you could use this to cycle through friendly targets. Mouse Button 5: Nearest target. Same thing, just change to nearest friendly target and use this to quickly target who's right next to you. Mouse button 3 (middle scroller): I set this to my AoE DFA and shift + is sweeping blasters. I assume as a healer you could set kolto missile, that way just point your cursor and click middle button and it's right there. I use Tab for Break Free, shift + Tab is shield. X: Vent heat. Not much more input than that though I don't play Bodyguard. Although it's hard to imagine not having enough hotkeys if you do what these guys have said.

Well I know this is a pvp thread but to be honest I'm not worried about pvp balance until lets say post 40s.. I play mostly pve with a buddy and I don't plan on leveling as arsenal because like I said I absolutely love the playstyle of the Pyro. But that said I feel like I keep up AT LEAST with arsenals in pve damage because of the dots and if I play mu rotation right I never run out of heat and my railshots process enough to where I feel my dots and unloads do plenty of damage, not to mention dropping fusion missile for aoe dots. Playstyle to me is far more important than numbers as far as leveling goes. Anyways about those questions, any feedback?

Awesome post. Couple questions as a noob Pyro: I'm only level 26, I absolutely love PvEing with my merc. One question I have is do you guys ever use explosive dart at higher levels or in PvP? I find myself popping it off quite often in PvE since I can use it on the go and the heat seems minimal, also it has a relatively low CD. How does the damage for this skill scale with higher levels? Also, I see some people using Power Shot where others use Unload in the rotation. I tend to use unload when it's up, also making sure that I pop RS first if it's up. Which of these skills does the most damage overall? I am thinking about taking some talent points to make Power Shot cheaper in heat and maybe using it more because it has no CD, which brings me to my next question. How effective is the stabilizer talent? If I'm going to be using PS, will the 75% pushback reduction make a significant difference in me being able to get off power shots while taking some heat from adds maybe. It also works for Unload. So basically, what hits harder between Unload and PS? Is pushback reduction viable for PvE at least? And thoughts on Explosive dart. Thanks and I'm sure I'll have more questions, but it looks like I found the thread to post them in.

I'm Pyrotech. A lot more than one button. Lots of running around and firing off instants, and channeling to do some real damage or lay down an aoe dot. It really is a lot of fun.

Maybe, to make it less complicated, just add those procs to rapid shots. Makes sense right?
