  1. On Virulence set up your bar as follows: 1-takedown, 2-lethal 3-cull 4-takedown 5-series of shots 6-weakening blast 7-cull 8-corrosive dart 9-corrosive grenade 10-takedowm 11-filler (typically roll or yourbasic] 12-cull. Your rotation will be thus, 8,9,6,7=open (on any new opponent, you always want to make sure they're dotted. Also, you can multi dot if the group is spread). Then you go into block one which is 1, 2, 2, 2, 3. Follow this with block 2 which is 4, 5, 6, 7. Next block 3 which is 8, 9 10, 11, 12. Go back to block 2, then block 1. Lastly will be block 4 which is similar to the opener except you add in a filler. For example you could go 10, 9, 8, 6, 7 if your energy is high (plus about 65% on a longer fight) or if you have your energy refresh up. If it's not up, and you're not in a burn phase slip your basic in to maintain energy. Then, repeat from block one. You will always have 4 GCD's between culls. In essence it's block: 4, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1 rinse/repeat. On a boss fight I will precast my orbital, pop a laze target, precast a lethal shot. When the lethal lands my orbital will drop and I start my rotation as described above. Because this is an energy intensive start I will pop my target acquired before weakening on my opener. This carries me about 1/3 of the way into my next cull (block 1). Go through my rotation as normal until I get to my second block 2 (IE-open, 1, 2, 3, *2*, 1, 4). Just before my weakening on this 2nd block two I pop my adrenal and use my aggro drop. After this, I pop laze on cd, and try to get target aquired before a weakening. If I cannot I will use it in block 1. I will never target acquire during block 3. It's a waste. Your target acquired renews 15 energy and your cull is slightly energy positive. On a 2.5 dummy will have to use my energy renew at about 72% and once more at about 40ish. (Of course on a boss, or trash mobs energy is less intensive as youll be moving slightly more. Use your judgememnt. Try not to let it slip below 57% unless the boss is sub 20%.) When the boss is sub 20% I don't worry about energy and on block 4 will use takedowns instead of an energy-soft filler. That's a lot of info and if you have questions feel free to DM me. Hope it helps. Here's a parse I did before I was I optimal gear. My crits and apm aren't the best, but it's about the rotation.if I think about it, I'll try to update my parse. Here's a parse from my GS using same rotation guidelines.
  2. it would be nice to be able to test our tanking and healing skills against the dummies on our ship. Both of these are similar in concept to the Raptus fight in DP. Both of these would give tanks and healers a better idea of how to improve as players, how to better time our DCD's, CD's, ability usage, etc. Perhaps for tanks, if there were a modulator that put out various damage types (IE-one mod for I/E, one for RT, mix and match, etc) that put out dmg in a certain area for a certain amount of time in an ever increasing amount. Step out of the area and combat ends. For example, you start at 100 dtps, then by 1 minute it's increased to 5k dtps, then by 2 minutes 10kdtps, etc, until you're dead. The object is to last the longest. For healers, perhaps a modulator to take certain amounts of damage every second in an ever increasing amount. For example, perhaps it starts at 100 dmg/s and over the course of a minute increases to 5k dmg/s, then over a two min to 10k dmg/s, etc. The second thought has been brought up on On Bad Feeling Podcast. Instead of having the number of hooks used determine our completion rate for a stronghold, use the unlocked rooms. Such that the maximum number of rooms between all strongholds is 100% and the number you have unlocked is your completion rate. I really hate having to put chairs up just to complete the hook requirement. As a result, I do not do conquest as I do not have 100% completion in my strongholds.
  3. I'm still having various issues and for some reason cannot seem to break the 9.2 threshold I've previously reached. Ironically, I tried engineering just to "see" what I could and was able to parse similarly with relative ease and little energy issues. I wonder, if perhaps, virulence does not fit my play style. I'm unsure as to what I can do differently to expedite my DPS. Regardless, I'll keep trying and if I have any further advancements, I'll post here. Thank you for your information/help Shyro. Updated Rotation Parse
  4. I'm not abandoning the thread or your thoughts. I had a family engagement. I'm working on a few changes. I'll come back with a reply ASAP. Thanks for your help and patience.
  5. Cover Pulse is used to get the instant Lethal Shot via the Stroke of Genius utility. I thought that it'd help the dps due to the reduction in GCD. The shield probe is habit (when I activate cover, muscle memory activates shield. I'll try to nerf my use of shield.) Previously, I was using Weakening Blast on CD. But I had my hotbar set up such that I would forget to reapply my Dart and Grenade for a few CD's. Or, I'd over apply them. Also, on the 3rd parse, you'll notice Weakening used every other Cull which should be its CD. I'll readjust my hotbar again and give it a whirl. This being said, even when I was Weakening on CD my DPS was not much different else I wouldn't have switched it. Moreover, I don't know if that would account for a roughly 1k drop in dps. As you have one of the top parses is there more fundamental that im missing? Like I said, I'll take your advice and see how it looks. I appreciate your response. Edit: I parse for roughly 45 min this morning. Here's the best one: 1865 Alac, 1476 Crit, 765 Acc In many I was running out of energy.
  6. Before the change to Lethal Purpose I had a good set-up, good rotation, etc. I was able to get in the top 20 on a 2.5mil parse on Parsely. Now; however, I can't get past 9k on a good RNG. I need help. At first I was having issues with energy management (and to a point I still am), but it's better. I parsed for four hours yesterday and for 2 so far today. My best parse was a 9.2k but I couldn't recreate it or get within 300dps. I don't want the top parse...I just want to be in the running (9.5kish range). My gear is 247.5 (246 boots and relic and 2 armorings) all set-piece and I've adjusted numbers anywhere from Bant's to the 2nd GCD threshold and all augments are 236. Here are my parses. You're my Obi-Wan (my only hope). 1669 alac, 1672 crit, 765 acc, 1767 alac, 1574 crit, 765 acc, 1865 alac, 1476 crit, 765 acc. Thanks!
  7. I did this exact thing. I always would purchase the 475 speeder 1, the 225 speeder 2, and the 225 speeder 3 at level 1. I would gladly spend the roughly 1'000 CC's. So, yes, there were people who were buying this. Further, as a subscriber, I should have the option to spend my $ on exactly that.
  8. I think that this is a very morally ambiguous stance. If taken to the logical conclusion, one could discover extreme illegal activities. If the cops can't catch me, they can't enforce it. Ergo: Killing is acceptable.
  9. Also, what is your issue? Are you just needing general knowledge? Or, do you have a specific question. Are you referring to the mod rank, the armor rank, the name rank (classic, basic, elite, and etc), or... You're very vague as to what you're looking for making it overly hard to respond.
  10. Currently, like many of you I have several different toon types above 55. Mostly, I DPS. (6dps, 1 tank, 1 heal ATM). I can understand where some are coming from when they advise that DPS shouldn't AFK when queued as a matter of consideration. To use the restroom, grab a snack, grab a drink, I feel the queue drop time is appropriate. Two minutes is adequate. However, I do agree with what a previous commentor suggested about clicking decline when the pop arrives. There should be a mandatory 20-30 minute lock-out. DPS do not have the luxury of declining for random reasons so the lock-out for them would be moot. Further, I also agree with someone that posted about lower geared being teamed up with higher geared and having a wonky run. Perhaps, a way to combat this is by looking at the main stat number and making the PUG average out the group. In addition to this, have the FP scale to level similar to what happens in some of the boss fights on Makeb. Granted this is a BW issue. I do not think DPS purposefully wait the 2 min drop to be spiteful. It is probably due to bio's, talking to someone else in area, on a different screen, and etc. For that a louder pop alert would be beneficial. This too is a BW issue. Overall, my point is this. The PUG system needs some work. Patience is key when working with other people whom we are not familiar. This is a social skill and we are playing a social game. We must use social niceties whether we like them or not. One of these social niceties is that of vigilance. So, DPS, exercise vigilance. Tanks and to a lesser extent, healers, exercise patience. If we can do that and try to understand that the other person may have things going on outside their locus of control, then perhaps we can make a more positive experience for all. Yay Unicorns and rainbows...
