  1. I have a policy to not try and copy other's names. I have many other names I can use. More impressed that someone appears to have the same thought process as me (oh dear god, you're all dooooomed ). I also have a policy of never using ASCII-derived letter even if they are the correct spelling (ie Cafe and resume should be spelled with an " é " for the second 'e'). This is just a courtesy I extend to people who may not know the ALT codes or care to look them up. --- PS: For those who may not read the entire thing. Originally, the names were "Invalid" (bug or violated the Naming Policy) but now say "Unavailable" (taken by another player).
  2. Dear god...why. Why is this so hard to understand. MY NAME WAS TAKEN AWAY, possibly because of a bug, and I want it back. Or an explanation as to why it suddenly after six years violates the name policy. EDIT: LOL, and now the name is marked as "Unavailable" funny, it use to be "Invalid". ((Sigh, fine....I'll just use one of the other names I have stashed away. Still irksome, but meh.))
  3. Typically, naming policies don't allow for 'special characters', which would include dashes. And my names weren't part of anything even remotely close to Star Wars (names, places, etc). Obviously, it wouldn't have contained any 'special characters' (including apostrophes) or non-standard letters (ie: " ò " instead of " o ").
  4. What if you can't use the character name you want...you know like the one you had since the F-ing beta. Because the system says it's invalid. And then CS responds thanking you for your SUGGESTION. Even though you picked "Character/Companion" and specifically state you want to know why your character name is now "unfit".
  5. Actually, they had the plan to do a LFG Tool all along, just like RIFT had it all along. It's a classic way to dupe the masses into thinking they're getting a "better product". First you come up with the product and all these nice features. Then you strip out features that are either: a) taking to long to "work out" b) may cause customer backlash After you market your fancy new product you 'get a feel' for what the customer base wants and presto! You roll out this "New and Improved" Product X. I, for one, think they should drop just about everything and get this in place...SWTOR is quickly becoming boring. Our own "LFG Channel" (The Fatman server) we decided to make isn't seeing much action. And by that I mean General and "LFG" is pretty much devoid of "LFG/LFM". And this is with about ~120 in Fleet, which is about average for 'Prime Time'. The only real question is should the LFG Tool reward people for using it like WoW and RIFT do. There should be some kind of 'physical' (in-game) reward. WoW had a LFG Tool and rarely was it used; no incentive to. After it became rewarding you had pre-formed groups using it just to get the reward...some of those groups only had 3 guildmates/friend so 2 randoms got to go //BTW I find it laughable that people hate LFG Tools yet continue to "Queue Solo". What the hell do you think the WZ System runs on...A LFG TOOL
  6. Bored Having more fun leveling my Overlord in Lineage II than leveling my Guardian the remaining 8 levels.
  7. Ya, I mean I shouldn't be irritated that a quest isn't completing even when the objectives are met....how crazy is it to expect that from a non-Indie company
  8. Just came from a Huttball match with Rep vs Imps We (Reps) won 5 to 0 So, when are you (Bioware) going to really fix the 'PVP Daily Bug'?
  9. If the game is fun through out; then yes character progression can be slow. There needs to be a balance. Right now my highest character is 40, I dislike the questing beyond Class Quest because all it is is FedEx, Farmer John, Defend the Castle, or The Bodyguard quests; DO NOT WANT. So I've been doing FPs (when I can get a group), Space Missions, and PVP. At this point I just want to get to 50 and do something else. I'd love it if we could convert Rest XP to Actual XP at say a 2:1 (Rest : Actual) ratio TL;DR: LEVELING ISN'T FUN; it's a choir.
  10. That's why I used the trends, I know it's going to be higher during non-work days. And you can see it in the trend. Every weekend it's much higher, but...with each passing weekEND the peak is less (used a ruler/straight edge). So, where are the people going then? Each weekend there's less of of a peak than the last weekend's peak. Now this is just for: The Fatman (US) So I do not pretend to say it applies to all servers.
  11. HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE BANANAMAN SUIT! (T1 Paladin set)
  12. Well, I suppose they could put it like: Playing / Maximum Players; updated every 30min (staggered by 10min to prevent cluster f***). That way "Low", "Standard", "Heavy", "Full" are at least put into perspective. If this had been done before the cap increase people could see for a fact if the game was suffering population loss. Plus, it would deter them from being ******s and changing the plateaus. I know some games that did that to make it look like more people were playing. If anyone's not familiar with what I mean. Say: 250 = Light 500 = Standard 750 = Heavy 1000 = Full They then skew it so 50 = Light 70 = Standard 100 = Heavy 1000 = Full This is the primary reason they never tell you what the words relate to in numbers. And all games that have server status like SWTOR do this, and have since 'Server Status' history. Still leaves the fact that some servers are in fact dead now. Either because people realized they rolled on the wrong server for [insert RP, PVE, PVP] and have since re-rolled on another. In any case, I'll give it 5 more months, bring it to 6months total before I decide to cancel my sub or not; less if things go South quickly. EDIT: @Wizzrobe That server doesn't exist in either the US or EU. Click on the english button if your using the non-english site.
  13. Feels pretty empty, 'cept for Fleet. Right now we got 54 in here (Fleet) and should have ~120+ by tonight. This also: http://www.torstatus.net/the-fatman/history/7d#!/the-fatman/trends/30d Now the fact they increased server capacity explains away the "Full", but notice that "Heavy" is incrementally going down when looking at only the weekends, got a straight-edge out just to double check. Really wish they had done pure-instancing (STO model) and not used a multi-zone-multi-server model. Then you don't have to merge or offer transfers. Players will just go to the instance that has the most people in it (until cap is reached). The game's beginning to feel like Blasted Lands, Swamp of Sorrows, and the like....empty
  14. http://www.torstatus.net/the-fatman/history/7d#!/the-fatman/history/30d Ah, this explains much EDIT: Do please note that even on the weekends it's no longer as high as it was the first few days.
  15. I do find this funny. "THE GAME IS NOT DIEING!" Where I have seen that before....oh yes: LoTRO (before it went free2play) WAR Lineage II (before it went free2play; US-side) STO (before it went free2play) AoC (before it went free2play) RIFT* DCU (before it went free2play) EQ2 (before it went free2play) *You think they need that many "trial servers"...lol, skillfully hidden server mergers. Seeing a pattern? Get heads out of arse. Just because you think the game is doing fine doesn't mean it is. Hopefully, ME3 won't be a let down too :\
