  1. This is when you look into the old forums. Lets say about 1000 pages back. You read all the old forums about people complaining about nerfing Mercs/Commandos/Sorcerers/Sages. There is an actual entertainment value here. Its like watching re-runs of your favorite old sitcoms. It is amazing how many laughs you can still get from it.
  2. Wait!! There is a hardmode? Let me know what it is cause these MMOs have very little skill involved compared to FPSs. I've maxed every AC and there is no class that is hard. I think smash monkeys are very diffucult. Cause it is a melee class and when people kite you there is little chance to win. So a smashmonkey needs to outwit every ranged class when they kite. The only class that never beat me 1v1 was a sage/sorc. But with elecrtic binds and bubblestun, I bet you could beat me pretty easily. But lets be constructive. The best way to kill them is to play as one. You will learn so many techniques on how people will kill you and learn it isn't an "easy mode" after all. You will also learn what abilities they have and their cooldowns. I had to because my I was getting wrecked Pre2.0 by them.
  3. I just hopped on my Commando again this weekend and I say they have some good burst now. Once when I played with my Smash Jug defending a node by myself, a commando came up to me. He used Electro net and grav round and a few other abilties and melted me in no time. I got him down to half health. I never lost a 1 V 1 that bad before. Not even close. I even used defensive abilities. That electro net is dirty. Concussion Charge too was another ability to get them off you. As far as snipers and sorcerers, it may be a paper beating scissors type deal. Pre 2.0 I used to leave WZ if I had 2 or 3 commandos/mercs. Now I believe the balance is pretty good. I see Commandos getting top DPS all the time. Even as healers they can be pretty good. I was beating out Scoundrals as top healers this weekend.
  4. Does anyone know if you still only need to be level 50 still? Or did they raise the cap to 55?
  5. Oh I like this. Or how about each MVP vote you receive, you get a 12.5% chance of winning the roll? You receive 4 votes, you receive a 50% chance on the roll?

    PvP Trophy Item

Seems that PvE people get all the great crafting schematics and crafting materials from raids. The good idea fairy visited me today and thought that maybe, just maybe after each match the winning team can roll for an item that is won from that match. IE: crafting schematic, crafting material, mod, enhancement, or orange gear piece. Maybe the losing team can get something similar also but to a lesser degree. That may help keep people from quiting matches early. I understand we get comms. But I enjoy crafting and of course... Bite it, chew it, spit it out if you like. Just trying to keep the interest in this game for many. Since we haven't gotten much from the PvP side which seems like eternity.
  7. I assumed most people would have gotten Partisan already. Just taking longer than I thought to flush this old gear out. I just want to keep this thread bumped. Education is our biggest ally.
  8. After months of PvPing after 2.0, I still can't believe that I see people still wearing this gear.
  9. Back in the day I would friendly buff other people I saw on the planet and sometimes I forgot that ones that were flagged for PvP would turn me into flagged. They fixed that now, but I would go into a warzone. When I left I was unflagged. I'm not sure if it was because I died or because of the time elapse, however I haven't tried it in a long time and maybe an easier fix than wait a long-time.
  10. I believe I reverse engineered green ear pieces and made blues which gave me the upgrade to 440.
  11. Sorry if you got butt hurt. But that wasn't my intent. Kits cost different on each server. I know, it is mind-blowing. So I did the math. Crazy what college can do for you. And I came up with same results. Glad you agree with me.
  12. The fiirst question you need to ask yourself is. "What is your end status with this game as far as toons?" Are you going to have multiple alts? Or a few? Are you going to try to be competitive in the market by making profits? Or are you just having the crew skills to be a better PvPer/PvEer. As far as end game crew skills, Biochem seems to be a very popular choice. My agent also has Biochem solely because it is has great bouses. I currently have all 8 advance classes going and have at least one in each crew skills. If you plan on having multiple characters, here is a very popular guide from Mr. Bowser. I try to go off crit bonuses the most because I enjoy the extra crafting items. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=132015
  13. Cybertech too is a good way. If you RE level 54 headsets it will cost only two Mythra, four Turadium, and two Tricopper Flux.
  14. I personally have a Crew Skill for everything. I base my decision on which companions have the best crit for that crew skill. IE: Smuggler is Armstech. I have a gatherer toon too. My Shadow gathers ARCH, SCAV, and BIO. He's nice to have when farming with Stealth and Force Speed. Overall the market changes weekly. What is hot and what is not. You need to read forums to get some tips. IE: PvP forums are exploding because of certain exploits by using non-PvP gear.
