  1. I found this very frustrating. I was trying this pre companion skill patch where they would keep reenabling skills you didn't want (DAM YOU CORSO!). I finally just the other day got around to going back to my smuggler and taking out Diago. I did die once but I used it to my advantage. If you die once move to the back wall to the west (I think). basicly get out of combat range. If Diago is still around have corso just get in range to pull him and go to town on him. Let the sith and jedi duke it out (the jedi actually held of both while I recovered from death). essentially GET AWAY FROM THE SITH. She seems to enjoy owning my companions.
  2. Yeah but you have to remember if you are sending your companions what would you do with them otherwise? Specially end game if you have all your goodies maxed why not send your guys out slicing for cash. Sitting on thier thumbs or making ya any cash. I think I would rather them make me cash. Good slave labor and they never complain about the hours.
  3. Most missions for most professions do not give you a profit. There's a reason behind it and I'm not full of the details but slicing is not the only one that works that way. Slicing just has lock boxes so you can put a tangible number on them instead of getting items from them. That being said maybe look at missions you are doing and adjust from there? I know of one or two missions I do and ALWAYS get a profit, not much but it is a profit. Course I am not level 400 in slicing but I am sure upper levels have the same deal.
  4. honestly I would keep what you have and maybe look into using UT and selling the gifts on the GTN. If you really want to pick up another craft run an alt thru newbie town and get to the fleet. From there just siphon money to them from your main. That or make the alt and actually play it thru the game with the new skills? BW gave you 8 slots per server. put them to good use!
  5. 1) Cross craft skills say Cybernetics to make a housing and bio to make a drug that once combined would auto heal you when you got to a certain level of health left. Could be used for other drugs as well with different triggers. Lots of room here for crativity. 2) Synthweaving could use expanded clothing options. 3) Disposibles for all crafting types. Sheild/blast/saber overdrives. Toolkits that give a higher chance to get schematics from things you break down. 4) Fashion/Ceremony Items. would need a new implementation but make it so stuff can be made that adjust only cosmetic looks. Cyberware and bio could adjust physical appearance of body while rest alter dress apperance (weapon skills produce 0 damage weapons.) Could also make jewlery which could have neat looks depending on your craft type. 5) Pets - something more for cyber and slice maybe but could be a nice cross craft. mke droids that are for apperance only or serve combat functions. 6) Cranial bombs/slave collars (likely only PvP or maybe RP) - last laugh item where it detonates maybe even after the person lost. Or turns wearer nonhostile. Not gonna hit the guy holding the detonator. These were just off the tops of my head. sure I could come up with more if given time and even work these out better. I am sure these are not all good or bad. edit: Oh just had another thought what about UPGRADED SHIP LUXUARIES! don't like the look of that couch....maybe a nice ewok fur instead. Synthweaving might be able to help there! What your ship didn't come with a nice computer layout..slicing to the rescue!
  6. I talk in an adult manner (adult talk and a little trash talk but you get idea). I often go to lengths to avoid getting into public chat cause of my behavior. HOWEVER the game does not make it easy. 1) Discovered an emote swich which seems posts to public even if you type in whisper. 2) If you have an ongoing whisper convo it doesn't hold that setting like it does general or party chat. So chance of accidental typing to public chat occurs often. I try to party when I can but with so many people I know I also end up having to be in seperate groups. Just something to concider as well.
  7. I believe the Sir in this case is more of a professional title then a gender title. Same thing with jedi's being called Master even if female. Previously everyone in military was called Sir when addressed to (hence the YES sir..ma'am..sir jokes). I believe starwars was also written during this time period. When the military updated the game world did not. I think BW is very aware of gender issues though if you look at thier titles like Flyboy/flygirl and such. The Master/sir system is just part of the old flare from the days of the first star wars.
  8. are they actually mentioned in the patch or just downloaded in teh patch? Couldbe item was downloaded with intent of using them later.
  9. don't think they are implemented yet. no mention of them in patches so could be a future release thing?
  10. well I think the imbalance does have to do with a few things. 1) Republic is ugly. Get it out of the way...the outfits are horrible, don't look right in some situations. I don't know about you but yes I like to look at things while I play. I don't want to stare at scenery all day and yes I spend lots of time looking at my toons backside cause well...that's the camera view when we move about. 2) Republic is boring. You have more diversity of play with a empire person vs a republic person cause *gasp* empire people don't have morals. 3) Empire is evil...republic is good. People like being A-holes on the internet and in fantasy. Well what screams A-hole more then being the bad guys who in sterotypical fashion should be mean, rude, murderous, lecherous, flirty, and more. Basicly the game has fallen into sterotypical borderlines and poor design issues. Now to fix this here is what I suggest: 1) Get designers working on better outfits for republic players. seriously when people are saying "dancer and social uniforms at level 50" on jedi's....you might have an issue. I do like these but goes to show how much the jedi's like thier clothing choices. 2) Provide a unique skill to both sides of the force and for neutral scorers on both factions (6 total if one skill each). this would encourage people to try diverse options and if offerings are done right could be used to encourage people to roll a toon they wouldn't normally play. I know when I am on late at night (I play till 8 pm - 4 am CST many nights) Dreshdae Cantina server is down to single digits on most planets on republic side. Barely enough to do a heroic IF everyone was doing it and you MIGHT have a rounded party (which is hard during max times).
  11. It also doesn't help that half the clothes seem to clip. consular top that has the two long pieces d****** down in back actually CUT MY INTO MY BUTT! I agree we need a form fitting set cause shadows are stalkers/hunters and wouldn't wear such floppy clothes.
  12. Running tank shadow I use this often with multiple unit mobs. I Open with whirling, switch to force breach, then whirling again. This promises I hit near mobs, force breach grabs attention in range, then whirling picks up those mobs as well if they are melee and move in range. It keeps my aggro skills (mind control/mass MC) available should a OH NO come up and helps to protect tharan who if you don't hit someone they instantly go for him.
  13. I just did it as a shadow. It was an easy fight I'm using a tank build though and had tharan as my companion to heal me. All you have to do is spam dual strike and single strike. Use crushing mind, your Tk shield, and saber block when able. If you see her casting a long activation interupt or stun her. User your skill that recharges stun if you need another one. I don't market, I don't make my own stuff, I use only what I find in game (heck I don't even mod items). That pattern is what I use to kill pretty much everything. I'd get you exact names of skills but at work.
  14. Could it be she has her "common" name (padme) She turns royalty and gets a royal name (ama) As for handmaidens it might be treated more now as ceremony then actual protection. I'd think the handmaidens otherwise would also be like som killer fighters and such meant to not just get blown up for the queen but to actually fight should the need arise.
  15. I have been level funding all my own crafting. I gather and level as I go. my slicing I never used missions cause I found most in other systems to be a sink. I used to buy only skills, inventory space, crafting basics, and repair bills. I use gathering to get the basic materials I need for crafting. I haven't changed a thing post nerf. people who fund thier crafters are mostly saying they have a level 10 crafting sitting at space dock who they use only for crafting. Likely they have little to no gear, don't progress, and don't gather thier items. They get so much money from one skill it turns that character into a walking ATM for the rest of thier 7 slots.
