  1. Meh, I found that most of the usual forum folks come to the general discussion forums to do one or more of the following: - cry and moan about "insert topic here" - insult the devs, forum moderators, or anyone associated with the game - argue with - and/or - insult each other under the pretense of "civil" debate - take credit for any content added to the game with the reasoning that any or all the above lead to the creation of said content - have a sick fascination with the utter trash posted in these threads; the stinkier the pantha poo, the shinier the gem - actually came looking for information and stayed to marvel at the train wreck There are many other reasons (I'm sure), but I've been reading these forums for years and can confidently state that the majority are listed above. I'm fairly sure some of you will feel compelled to associate me with any or all of the reasons I posted - or get creative and add a few of your own. There is nothing I can do to stop you - which is why you will post. LOL - ugh... truly.
  2. Got fed up. Completely uninstalled SWTOR and bitraider. Then reinstalled from scratch (from the SWTOR website). Two hours later, I'm in. Not a fix, but it works. To the sarlacc pit with "error 310".
  3. I hear ya and I agree that yeah - makes sense, I suppose. I just... I don't know. I feel like I just took a huge hit in enjoyment. Not sure how else to put it. The Alderaan Heroic "Turning the Tide" has mobs bouncing you around picking up aggro all over the place. I suppose you could say, dude! LTP or strategize but...i guess I can't really put it into words. After dying a few times today, I just feel like I was having more fun before the nerf.
  4. Yeah, doing heroics on Alderaan just now and... nope. Sure, companions were on the OP side, but dang it, why such an atomic strength nerf?
  5. All the folks saying there will be inconveniences are probably correct in their assumptions. Having played MMO's since, well longer than I care to admit, I find that there is always a level of inconvenience that comes naturally from any change to a game. That said, I have also often found that with change comes new opportunity. Because of this, I find myself excited about all the changes coming. I'm very curious to know what new ways of doing things that folks are angry about being changed or impacted like: - Grinding for credits: which places and instances will be the new "go to" for legitimately grinding out creds when needed. - Leveling: How it will feel knowing that I can do as much questing on a planet I like and continue to gain XP (even with a boost). - RP: I don't do this much, but I wonder if the "challenge" of level sync will create new ideas for RP'ing to compensate for slightly higher random mob interaction. - Using the interface with all the new little tweeks here and there. Still, I can see why folks can be upset that there are going to be changes. Once things go live, I may very well be unhappy about certain changes myself, but from what I've read so far, I wouldn't be surprised that it's more a positive than a negative overall experience.
