  1. My sub runs out on the 28th, no I'm not going to re-sub. The changes announced on the livestream pretty much are not near enough to get me excited again. Scenario 1: You still have to grind at least 1 toon to Tier 3 CXP level, and then come up with enough tokens and parts to have your main buy the piece in question, tear out the mods, and then ship over to your alt via legacy gear, or Scenario 2: The vendor gear will NOT be transferable via legacy gear, which means that yes, you have a stash of legacy tokens, but each alt that you want to gear up will ALSO have to grind to tier 3 level to be able to buy BIS pieces. I'm not looking forward to EITHER choice. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. Even if every toon in my stable is tier 3 BIS, what good is it? All I have to look forward to is to grind old, stale, 5 yr. old content if I want to "play the game". So pretty much to hell with it.
  2. Well, my concern is this: Given the info we were given, there's still going to be a pretty tough grind ahead for everyone. Even with shared legacy tokens we have to consider: 1) The cost in tokens and unassembled gear parts for each piece of set bonus gear your after. BW could make this hella expensive. Like it takes 30 command tokens to mix with the parts to get 1 piece of gear or something. 2) Even if you have a huge stockpile of legacy tokens in your hold, what determines the tier level for the gear your going after on your alt? Can your command rank 300 main be able to buy gear and ship it over to an alt via legacy gear? If not, the alt's CXP level will determine which gear they can buy..... which means you still would have to grind out every alt toon that you want to play competitively.... or make the crafters rich and just buy off the GTN.... and leave your lower tier armormings in your gear. On the surface, these changes SEEM to be a step in the right direction... we'll have to wait and see how BW implements it however. Either way, everyone's going to have to grind out at least one toon to CXP Tier 3 level and worst case scenario, eventually have to grind out every alt you wanna gear up and play.
  3. Completely agree! I'm not a GSF'er. I have the Intro to SF quest on EVERY toon in my arsenal. That being said, I don't want people that enjoy that segment of the game to become outcast due to the fact that GSF does not do anything for players gear. BW, while your kinda-sorta attempting to undo the damage and do the right thing by players of PVP and OPS, you need to include GSF in there to somehow. Once again, I'm not a pilot but right is right.
  4. I could spend all day going over, point by point, how wrong and asinine your post is but i'll just hit a few highlights. These rapid changes are due COMPLETELY to the negative feedback that players gave to the new x-pack, punctuated by the flood of cancelled subs to back it up, other wise they would not be changing it so fast, or they just would have released the CXP with the new changes from the start. It's been 2 weeks since early access: In that time we've had 2 impromptu streams and a survey from EA about the game, the last stream being a knee-jerk reaction to peoples discontent and cancelling subs. It's human history unfortunately, that sometimes, to bring about positive change, the masses have unite and surround the castle with torches and pitchforks to bring about a positive change. Or in this case, post the negative feedback and cancel the sub to halt the money flow..... then they listen. If reviews of KOTFE/KOTET would have just been neutral, these positive changes would not have come.... if BW intended them to be there, why didn't they just realse the x-pack with them already in place? Anyways, the BW White Knight Brigade as well as their sister group the Forum Apologist Five group are the reasons why we have to go through this effort to bring about good changes to the game we love. Hell, I might even CONSIDER re-subbing at this point.... AFTER Jan.24th and the new changes land..... not before.
  5. I have to agree. I cancelled my sub like 3 days after early access and letting my time run out. The only thing that I like about 5.0 is crafting is a touch more relevant. The galactic command and the grind that goes with it is utter crap. At this point, I'm not sure what they could do to keep me here. If the crap content is the extent of what we can hope for x-packs carrying on into the future, then it's really time to just put all my toons and account into carbonite freeze and move on.
  6. Thanks for the reporting Hottie. I was curious, but hadn't checked yet, different classes and roles got more or less bolster compared to others.
  7. So, if 240's do bolster you down, then what would be the point of doing this ridiculous CXP grind for? I'm starting to get the feeling that. like earlier incarnations of bolster, some lower gear is going to be the sweetspot bolster wise vs. top end 240 gear. You remember Hottie.... pvp peeps would changer their gears downward to a certain point because the bolster was better than cruising around in the top PVP gear?
  8. Your last sentence of your post should be carved in stone and decorated in gold and posted on every door in the BW Austin offices.
  9. And you are coming in here, without being asked, in a situation where people are UNDERSTANDABLY pissed off and spewing your patronizing/ motherly tone. Go away.
  10. Thank you for this post Gabi! Sums up everything perfectly!
  11. Your right. Sure would be easy for BW to placate all 2 players remaining in game.
  12. Absolutely brilliantly written post that I'll wager the majority of the community is feeling right now to some degree or another.
  13. I agree with the last sentence of your post. I think the Devs are completely out of touch, read the player feedback, hear only what the want to hear, and at the end of the day, they gotta figure out how to make that $3.50 budget that EA gives them stretch into some kind of new content. It's like the Blur trailers we get for every x-pack... I personally think they are quite cool, but that's where the money is spent... definitely not on the meager content.
