  1. Taloraan! And make it sandbox content!
  2. Actually, that's what I do if I am clearly at a disadvantageous position and I don't feel like chancing the backstabs. If I can stay behind him, it has the same effect. Harder to pull off though.
  3. Oh, we're talking about two different classes then. I'm playing a scoundrel(At the moment) and most of my abilities are melee.
  4. Are you certain? I mean, when I was facing a level 40 something operative in a warzone on my level 27 Scoundrel, the only reason I knew he wasn't getting any backstabs in was because I was winning. It can be hard to tell from the animations alone.
  5. I think a little movement speed is an acceptable trade for keeping my opponent away from my back while trying to move away.
  6. Well, I wouldn't know for certain. But I know that if I did what he does in his RIFT video in SWTOR, I'd leave my back exposed. I tested it too. Strafing away would leave your back exposed. So maybe the mechanics are different than you think they are.
  7. I saw that, but that was for RIFT, not SWTOR.
  8. So you don't see the tactical advantage of people able to move away from an opponent and keep them in front of you at the same time. If you strafe away from an opponent, he has your back. And you lose your evasion and all that. Maybe it's different in other MMOs, I wouldn't know. But in SWTOR, strafing away is no better than just turning around and running away.
  9. You know, I never really got why backpedaling is bad in SWTOR. I mean, I haven't really got into PVP with other MMOs, but in SWTOR you need it to keep people away from your back. Which, in SWTOR's case, includes your shoulders. So really, there's no reason to strafe away.
  10. Yeah, that was a good idea in my opinion. Made me actually use my interrupts for things other than healing.
  11. Well then, since you guys directed me to this thread. Here's my ultimate suggestion: Do something gameplay related that WoW hasn't done. Something unique and/or revolutionary. I'll come back in a month to see who's voice matters more. The community or the bean counters at marketing.
  12. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Gilded having a pleasing or showy appearance that conceals something of little worth. Yeah, that. Call of Duty 4: 2007 Battlefield 3: 2011 Battlefield 3 was clearly made in response to the Call of Duty craze.
