  1. Hello folks. Is there a time and day where groups of 4 queue up for Ranked arenas? I have a few friends that want to start this but we don't know if we will have a pop, so I am looking for other teams out there who would like to coordinate something for fun and practice. Let me know.

    WTB 2v2 and 3v3

2v2 would be pretty much impossible for tanks to do. Tank + DPS would lack burst and not have enough survivability against teams with a healer on them. Tank + Healer teams would have too much survivability and no burst causing matches to always go to suden death, which is boring as hell. Bad idea. Just keep the 4v4 and balance the game around that, it is already a task that I think is too much for Bioware.
  3. People claiming that the relic makes their abilities useless just need to learn 2 play. If you switch targets after it procs you're doing it wrong. Switch to someone else for 6 seconds, then back on whoever you were hitting as it will be another 30 seconds before it procs again so you have a big window to burst. It's not that hard folks, some adapting and intelligent game play can get you around it, come on. So you lost one burst rotation, and that ruined your day? That's it? Don't you have other resources to DPS with? Are you gonna rage quit and smash your keyboard and go "this is ******** I don't wanna play this game anymore?". If so, you're just a bad player, with or without the relic bug and a fix on this won't make any difference. After the relic is fixed these people will still be here crying about some other cooldown and how killing class X is impossible and how they shut down your burst with one button. The relic is just the crying focus of the moment.
  4. I think Bioware should give the same amount of commendations regardless of winning or losing or doing damage and getting medals. This way everyone is happy, just like those soccer matches in school where even the loser gets a trophy and where they don't even keep score so no one wins! /sarcasm off Really OP? Are you 5 years old?
  5. If they remove the relic I at least want my comms back, I bought it before I knew it was broken, in fact I learned about this bug this morning, if I shouldn't have bought it because it is broken I want my ranked AND regular coms back.
  6. If you're getting stunned and your tank is not on top of the DPS stunning them all, force shocking, backhand, force push etc. You're just playing with fail tanks. Being a healer when the tank in your team is bad is very frustrating, specially for sorcs which are more easily interrupted and therefore easier to burst down. But really if you're working with a good tank he won't let people blow you up at the start, and then from that point on good positioning and skill will keep you and your team mates alive even if their DPS "tunnel vision" your ***. OP healers are more self sufficient it seems, they rely less on the tank to survive but in comparison their group and burst heals are worse. I think sorc healers are totally viable in arenas, the problem is when you don't get good teamates then sorc is more vulnerable.
  7. Sorcs are working fine from my point of view, played with good and bad ones so far. They are not that much harder to protect compared to Op healers, in fact sometimes guarding Sorcs is easier than guarding OPs because of force speed, combined with Chilling scream makes kitting much easier, if the Sorc knows how to play their class.
  8. Regardless of math, the common sense choice for me is simple. You don't choose when you crit, and too many crits normally accomplish nothing but overheal, so I go with reliable and steady power. As I don't increase my crit chance much, I go with the reliable and steady alacrity instead of Surge. So far it has been working alright.
  9. Across the months many people came and gonne from our server. Since launch we saw guilds start and die, we saw the community shift around us, and we were affected by the changes, everyone was. But jen'jidai remained strong. Our standard of quality and search for excelence has not changed, and it will not change, because this is the kind of player we have. Persistence, dedication, loyalty. If you are that kind of person, you found that kind of guild. Apply and join the fold.
  10. Here is a video of me and some friends doing warzones, it is Jen'jidai vs Jen'jidai match with some pugs on each team, it's a nice example of how to play this spec in Huttball.
  11. Not accurate. The power you lose when you equip only the shield generator is almost meaningless on your overall DPS, but 20% chance of shielding and absorbing makes a difference on your survivability, even if the rest of your set is DPS. It's important to notice, you can only shield if you have a shield generator. It's like playing a warrior tank and then using a second sword on your off hand, you lose the ability to block, because you have nothing to block with. I don't see why you should throw away that extra passive survivability trait for a little bit of extra power, DPS is not even your main role. Gotta remember that 16/25 spect is Tank first and then assist DPS, meaning control, guarding and peeling are priorities, killing other people are a consequence. I mostly Vicious throw and focus on players with low health when I see them runnning around, or CC/ interrupt the healers in crucial moments, but that is it, the resto of my attention is focused on protecting the team, objectives, and making sure I annoy the enemy the most. Chilling scream, smashes to reduce their accuracy, staying alive and interrupting caps when everyone already died giving people time to return, sacrificing myself just to slow down a group when they are switching or trying to assist a base the team is attacking. those are all situations where having a shield is useful and having a little bit of extra power is useless. Even with a shield you can still put a decent pressure on a player while focusing him, and this is situational because most of the times you have your hands full CCing, switching your guard, peeling off DPSers from your healer etc. If you wanna play this spec as a DPS then fine, take the power Generator, but then it's better to go rage instead of using the 16/25 hybrid.
  12. Use the Shiled Generator Off Hand and the War Leader Lightsaber, there is better status synergy, especially if you are on the Elite War Hero level. On the lower levels the Lightsaber could be Vindicator but when you get to Elite War hero you will have trouble to change they types. But definitely use the Shield Generator.
  13. Well, spec might not suck, but good luck finding a decen ranked team who's gonna want a full vengeance DPS Jugg instead of any other DPS ( as opposed to Rage or Powertech Pyro). The Hybrid tank spec is viable (16/ 25) but full DPS not so much. But we have many threads about this discussion I think, I don't wanna derail this one. I agree with the OP, we need a power option, I don't see why not. Adding a power option will not affect other specs, it will just increase the range of choices. No one will lose from this. The argument that other specs benefit from Crit is irrelevant, what the OP is proposing is not removing the current items and adding a power one, but ADDING a power item ALONG WITH the existent ones.
  14. This is my favourite spec and works really well, I think it is the best tanking spec around because not only you have survivability but you also have utility. Lots of CC, Unstopable to carry the ball etc. Lots of good synergies. It goes very well in ranked. I have a guide for it here at the forums, it is more aimed at people who are just starting with the class and spec but it might have useful gameplay tips if you're willing to try it. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=468757
