  1. This. The tradeoff is miniscule comparatively. I know, as an assassin tank, I use a DPS relic mainly because I don't really need the defensive cooldown. I do however have a VAST collection of relics so personal preference is an option. If you don't have an option, I'd still go with dps relics, as they tend to have more endurance plus add to threat stats, which are essential until you get geared up.
  2. Unless you're doing Darkness for leveling with a friend/flashpoints, go with Madness and Khem Val in all his tankiness.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/user/blankversenet I'm the MT for the guild, Assassin. Every OPs video posted is with me tanking. Sin tanking is beast mode, and AoE tanking in OPs is dumb, none of the trash hits hard enough to necessarily be tanked, just taunt rotate and AoE rotate to get it down faster while taking as much of the damage as ya can. But on boss fights, your mitigation cooldowns and threat generation are far superior, in my opinion(of course I'm biased), to the other tanking classes. We actually use a DPS powertech to "OT" when necessary, and he does it in dps gear, just switching cylinders when he needs to, it's works great for what we do. Foreman Crusher is possible with just 1 tank, check the link above :-D. Of course, I could just have 2 killer healers.
  4. As a previous poster mentioned, alot of Sith Guilds have rerolled republic in order to help with server balance. Some of us are even playing both sides, one for pvp and one for pve, just to get a good mix.
  5. My guild runs ops with one tank and one tank-able class(i.e. jugg/powertech/assassin) who has a full set of tank gear. So there's people out there who CAN tank, but just don't have to for ops. In 16s, we'll run with the same setup, mainly because we can't afford the loss of dps when starting on HM/NM, and by the time the group is fully geared and screaming content for farm purposes, it just seems pointless to change the habit. The bigger problem is the lack of appeal that HM FPs have for people who run ops. It's pointless for those of us in full Rakata to run HM FPs because the "reward" are commendations for pieces that would be downgrades, even for our offsets. If they would change columi/tionese commendations to "Heroic Commendations" or the like, and drop the crystal thing(which is pointless imo) and allow some columi and all tionese to be bought with said commendations while the rest drops from NM Ops, then you would have more people wanting to run FPs. Some of the pseudo-offtanks(i.e. dps jug/pt/sin with tank gear) probably don't realize they could easily tank HM FPs in dps spec with tank gear, nothing in FPs is so crazy to REQUIRE tank specs.
  6. I'm not arguing the point, just sayin that I like the floor tiles missing, makes people play follow the leader better
  7. For the record, the missing floor tiles don't make the fight unkillable. You can still make it down with the tiles missing. To me, it makes it more fun :-)
  8. So ninja ball lightnings and pylons not breaking a shield isn't a problem that should be fixed?
  9. If you spacebar through everything, since it's a reroll anyway, you can do it in an hour and a half easily.
  10. There's also the option of not using a stim...the stat increases are good, but if you're too cheap to spend 20k on a stim, which takes about 20 minutes to make, if that, then you obviously don't have enough concern about the stat increase to begin with.
  11. Yea, he probably doesn't. I had an EV HM run the other night that only dropped a schematic and some of the non-set pieces off every boss but Gharj. Didn't report it as a bug though because all the expected loot drops are chance. You aren't guaranteed specific pieces of loot off any boss, but all bosses have a chance to drop tier pieces. So if a boss doesn't drop what's expected, you had crappy dice that kill, better luck next time.
  12. Instead of: Dear Bioware, here is a list of all the things your player base would like to see in game: 1) Bug fixes before new features/content. 2) Level 50 character creation on PTS to actually test patches that are coming with new features/content to make sure there are no bugs. Thank you Have A Nice Day! Seems to me that you'd like more features/content that could *probably* be buggy, instead of having them fix what they have, and make it possible for more people to actually WANT to test incoming patches to ensure that everything works. I know myself, and many other people who play, would LOVE to ensure that incoming patches work to perfection, but have neither the time nor the motivation to level a toon to 50 on the PTS when we know they are going to roll out a patch without input from people who either a) the few who actually leveled to 50 on the PTS or b) never got to 50 on the PTS and therefore cannot offer bug reports. Flame me if you want, but these are on my "wishlist" for things I'd like to see implemented. Your suggestions are great, but are currently not on the top of the list of things that should be put in place. They are losing a playerbase based on the lack of fully functioning features and quests, and I for one would love to see this game succeed, but they are not making it easy for a wide variety of players to assist them with this. TL;DR - Bug fixes and PTS lvl 50s to help test > buggy new content and features
