  1. That's odd. When I am heal specced I don't fear anyone in a 1v1. DoT them up, heal through everything they throw at you (with judicious use of your interrupt and stun of course) and you can usually outlast just about anyone. In DPS form, it depends who you are fighting really. You are still strong in 1v1 due to the potency of CC in this game, but nowhere near as safe as when you are heal specced.
  2. Absolutely. Movement reduction abilities (snares) do not build resolve on your target, nor do they fail to work when the target has full resolve CC immunity.
  3. Champion bags are obtainable with the commendations you receive in pvp, and via daily/weekly pvp quests. They can only be opened at level 50. The daily and weekly quests that reward them can also only be picked up at 50. Look at the PvP vendor near the pvp terminal to see them. They reward 3x Centurion commendations (used to buy Centurion rank (1) PvP gear) or they will have 1x Centurion commendation and a random gear token you can use to trade for Champion rank (2) PvP gear.
  4. I fail to understand how my suggestion leads to a redundant republic side. Can you explain that for me please?
  5. This would mean you will be queuing for much much longer. Is that ok with you? Personally, I would back your suggestion too, IF they made Voidstar and Civil War able to be played intra-faction. It might bust the story side of things but frankly I couldn't care less about that, I get plenty of story fix in this game as it is. Hell, make it some kind of "combat-simulator" story if you really must appease the people who would complain that it was "unrealistic" (lol)
  6. Translation - I suck, got owned, returned to EZmode game where I outgeared my competition. Nothing to see here.
  7. "Popping a trinket" is a WoW term which here means using your CC breaker (that every class gets). In WoW, your CC breaker came in the form of a trinket slot item that you earned after a few pvp battlegrounds.
  8. Yes there is a logical reason for not updating them all at once. In fact, it is the point of my original post. Inconveniencing players doesn't engender good favour with your players. It is presumably why other AAA titles have split maintenance schedules.
  9. Then have three separate maintenance windows, all taking place in the dead of night for their respective time zones. Just because someone else isn't whining it doesn't make my whine any less rational or sensible.
  10. Just because the solution to my whine creates new whines doesn't make my previous whine any less rational or sensible.
  11. There are ~312 million Americans and ~857 million Europeans. By your own "want to piss off less people" argument, it is the Europeans who should get the more favourable patch times.
  12. I understand perfectly well that no time is going to suit everyone when it comes to maintenance. Now that most working folks are back at their jobs through the day, 8am-3pm is certainly not peak-time hours or anything but please, please, please Bioware, consider... Making maintenance times different for EU servers! Hundreds of thousands of Europeans will appreciate it, seriously.
  13. I can't comment on the effectiveness of madness or lightning for soloing so bear that in mind. I will say that with my build (7 in Lightning for extra force pool, reduced force cost and extra shield absorption) and the rest in Corruption, I have not had any fights that I can't simply heal Khem through. The only time I am defeated is if I accidentally pull two packs or if I don't notice until it's too late that there are two strong or better mobs. I've never had to repeat a boss fight using this build. Granted, you don't get any AoE until Force Storm (I think level 32 or 34?) so it is quite slow going until then but once you have that, simply send in Khal with a shield on him, Force Storm everything he gathers up, HoT him up and pick off the stragglers. It's a simply awesome solo spec for my playstyle. Tears pretty much everything else up in 1v1 PvP too. As always, ymmv.
  14. ^ This. Make your first 5 points in Lightning tree for 100 extra force pool and -9% cost to abilities. I wouldn't put the 2 points into + Willpower in the Madness tree until endgame though as that is when you will see the most benefit from it (and allow you to get the top talents in the healing tree a bit earlier). At 50, the normal heal rotation is force neutral. If you find yourself having to expend extra force to heal the DPS then the simple solution is to politely ask them to be more careful who they are hitting and where they are standing. You would be amazed how often this question is met with "Oh yes, sure, no problem" and the healing requirement for the encounter goes way down. This 31/7/2 build is great fun. You will be the best main tank healer class with this, I believe. And crazy strong in PvP too.
  15. 29th July and no email for me today. Guaranteed to come tomorrow of course but "starting 2pm UK" is failsauce. Just in time to "have" to go back to Rift for Akylios farm night in Hammerknell. Oh these first-world problems, will they never end!? QQ They will probably get through all of august and september tomorrow assuming the spike dropped off pretty hard after the first week.
