  1. Agree....this game would get a nice shot in the arm if BW would just address and fix the horrible performance issues it currently has. My rig didn't cost $6k but it's up there and I spent a lot of money on components so I wouldn't have these issues. Since launch I have played off and on and during that time have played on 3 separate rigs and I can't recall this game ever running smooth at all. You don't even need to run WZs or OPs to see how much of a mess the Hero Engine is working, hell just play in certain areas to witness your FPS drop and stuttering to start. I just came back from playing ESO and was hoping SWTOR would have it's **** together. I want to stay and give BW my money but they don't seem to care even though there is enough people griping about performance on the forums. I7 @ 4.3ghz GTX 980 SLI (tried playing with only 1 and it didn't resolve anything) 16GB RAM
  2. I agree with you on the tooltip, however it would be more assuring if BW corrected that. Still how does one even go about testing that w/o a in depth combat log to look at. I don't know, I submitted a ticket to report the tooltip as a bug but I'm still somewhat skeptical now on whether I'm getting my full 16%.
  3. Just noticed while putting points into "Superheated Gas" in the pyrotech tree that when you hover over Combustible Gas Cylinder that the tooltip shows the damage being applied from the skill but the chance to be triggered is not. Which begs me to ask, is the 6% from the skill when 3 points are applied actually being registered or are we still using an ability that is only proccing 10% when it should be 16%? Has this been asked before and if so was an answer given by BW?
  4. I acknowledge that in the scheme of things this is a small matter, however it adds to a continuing pile of issues that are surfacing regarding snipers, such as the cover mechanic bug. Anyway the skill "series of shots' animation has been bugged since the last patch, instead of the rifle resting in the hand it's being balanced on the wrist/forearm when firing the rifle. Again it's not a serious issue but it does look really sloppy. Please fix this BW.
  5. Put this on the wrong forum. Moved it to sniper forums. Sorry
  6. I'd call it game breaking for a sniper. Considering most of my skills are dependant of me being in cover to use. So if the cover system is borked then that would translate into my class as a whole being broken. I have 3 toons that I use 2 are snipers and 1 is a gunslinger so for someone like myself that doesn't play any of the other classes....yes this game is broke.
  7. Ever hear "Squeaky wheel gets the grease". If people were to just settle for what Bioware has released in their statement regarding the matter and stop posting on threads like this it very well could end up as a dead issue that Bioware could feel they are now able to ignore. However if people remain vocal and demand action it makes it quite the opposite. Not saying something will get done about it, just saying the likelihood of some kind of action increases.
  8. All the screenshots released by Bioware show far better looking textures than what is currently being shown when playing. My graphics are maxed out and it still isn't coming close. Why even bother posting on this thread if you don't agree? Obviously this is an issue with many considering the amount of posts on this subject. Just because your happy playing a game where the character textures are worse than even Dragon Age Origins doesn't mean everyone else has to. For a AAA MMO title that just launched this is very unacceptable.
  9. I'm truely disappointed, I can really see myself being a long time sub. I haven't really felt this great about an MMO since SWG pre NGE. It's sad that these textures detract from what is a fun and what could be a gorgeous game. I do notice one business trend on BWs part that I do not like however. Their inclination to decide what is acceptable playablilty and what isn't. For example AA is unenabled on ATI 6900 series cards according to BW patch notes and posts because they say it causes unacceptable frame loss. Well I have forced it thru CCC and it plays just fine, in fact it plays just as well with it as it does w/o. Bioware let me decide what is acceptable and what is not, please do not decide for me. If high res textures cause unaccpetable frames I will be the judge of that, it shouldn't be you. If it doesn't play well then I will lower it, that is what options are for. Afterall we are not hamstrung like consoles are, so don't treat it as such.
  10. Relatively new to the game, been playing for just over a week now. While I do love the game, sadly I am turned off by the muddied textures I have to look at while viewing my toon. In a game like this you should get excited to see what your new gear is going to look like, but each time I am disappointed due to the low textures. My free sub time ends in March and I can't see myself resubbing unless this issue is resolved. I keep hearing people tell me playablity over graphics......is it too much to ask for both?
