  1. I wish there was some way to play SWG... I just found my starter SWG and was about to install it when I remembered it wasn't around anymore...
  2. I've already had this debate anyways... http://www.killermovies.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-378345-sidious-vs-mace.html
  3. well I watched the movie, read the book, and I read GL's statement. So we have a contradiciton, and that's not my fault. So what you're saying doesn't really mean anything.
  4. the difference is that the game that came out after pong had pong as an inspiration to draw from. and the fact the Lucas had to battle the film industry just to get the OT made is something that made the OT so special. Also, pong didn't change the way video games were played. try - legend of Zelda or Mario and this doesn't disprove what I said. because you can't assume that video games adhere to the EXACT same values that movies do. And I acknowledge how great Ocarina of Time was, but I like Skyward Sword ALMOST as much. So yeah, you can value a game because of it's influence. That doesn't mean that I am going to hate on Wind Waker and Majora's Mask, but I am going to play the game that has the most nostalgia to me. and Honestly, I have no problem with the prequels, but I grew up in the 90s and the first movies I remember seeing in theaters were the special edition OT SW movies, and nothing has come close to that since. Go back and watch the OT... the emotion and the character development is so much more real, so much more potent, and so much more moving than the PT.
  5. lucas hasn't released the theatrical versions. you're going to need to google the original trilogy .com or something like that.
  6. I don't think Sidious was letting Mace Windu win...I mean if he wanted to kill Mace and lie to Anakin, then that would have gotten the same point across. plus, that just seems more like something sidious would do. I think Mace could have taken Sidious because he was handling his lightning just fine, and he was hurting Palps by deflecting it right into his face. I like how Palp got all deformed when he was shocked, but Luke didn't look different at all... anyways, stop worshipping palpatine. So the books say he can do really cool stuff, but the books just try to invent FORCE GODS all the time, so I don't know how much stock you should put into someone turning Sidious into Darth Jesus Christ. He just is the dark lord of the sith, and Authors want to sell their books, Comics, and video games (force unleashed reference, The main character in that was way too ridiculous). not if GL says he wasn't going to. GL is the absolute decider, and it's GL's galaxy.
  7. Dooku is the worst villain in SW. But whatever palpatine's plan might be, he wouldn't complain if Dooku accidentally kills Anakin and Obiwan...
  8. exactly! Dooku = worst Idea ever Grievous = not important to star wars universe in any way possible. Maul = the coolest of the original PT characters. Jango Fett = Basically Boba Fett, so yeah he's cool, but he's not Original. Palpatine = necessary, but not that interesting in the movies. What was so good about the OT? It was so well directed, and it was a constant struggle between Luke and Darth Vader. You are able to build more character depth that way, and cause the audience to form better opinions about your characters. Keeping Maul would allow the SW audience to be familiar with the threat and associate more with one side or the other. Sure a lot of people think Maul was overrated, but It's not about the SW universe because fans hated the prequels even though they weren't made for the universe they were made to shut up the fans. People hate the prequels because they hate new things. The SW fans wanted the OT but that wasn't gunna happen. Fans were upset because they romanticized the past. It's very common for us to do that, but one solution is to give people the past. here's what I would have done with the PT Made the group more sustainable: 1.) kept Qui Gon and Maul alive (no main characters [except maybe Jar Jar] die) 2.) find a way to keep Obiwan, Anakin, Padme, and the group pretty much together (like the OT where they were always in the Falcon together and usually all ended up together) 3.) given the characters a ship that would serve as a common meeting place (much like the Falcon and the Ebon Hawk). 4.) Killed Maul either in the 2nd or part way through the 3rd movie. 5.) killed qui gon in the 2nd movie 6.) Allowed more sith. (if you're going to have a whole Jedi Order, then I think the balance would allow for a more believable extermination of the Jedi). some of you may be glad I didn't make star wars, but that's just what I would have done. if you don't agree that's fine...i'm sure there are things you'd rather have done. Those are just a few things I think that would have given the PT a more believable flow (I'm not arguing that it would be better because I don't think you'll ever satisfy the SW fans).
  9. people forget that Anakin was a slave and watched his mother die. Also, he was forbidden to love his only true love. And don't forget the only man he ever thought could play the role of his father and freed him from slavery (Qui Gon) was killed. He may have been a brat, but he had a horrible life.
  10. The original Trilogy only changed the way movies were made for the next 30 something years, and it was completely Original for it's time...can you say that about the prequels? and this thread doesn't support the title...It only supports not hating the prequels, and I don't hate them.
  11. I hated how Padme randomly was in love with Anakin in episode 1
  12. I just saw Episode one in 3d and I couldn't stop laughing at Jar Jar's crap... It was worse than I remembered.
  13. Chronicle is stupid and will be forgotten in five years. end of discussion.
