  1. News are out!!! Bioware has decided to rollback the servers to EA... Its come to their attention that someone exploited to gain faster lvls and valour 34 days ago.
  2. Yet. During the time since EA I have seen atleast 28 people lvling to valour rank 60 by joining a Warzone and just afking in a safe spot. here after a month later they are still doing it! the exact same people... The game needs solid testing, time and better customer support. not more flaming and angry people... its not like people gained 10 valour ranks from ilum last night they got maybe 1 or 2. its no big deal they just need to hotfix it now.. besides. don't count on any rollbacks and actions agains the 80% of all 50's that did ilum last night ^^ Think about it.. they can't even do anything about people afking in safe spots for a month in over 500 wz games (atleast 1000 reports on them).. My advice. chill let them fix and give swtor some time, the pve is still fun "atleast for me" it still have good potential to be a keeper for many many months ^^
  3. Actually. some cleaver republics on my server logged out for 10 mins and ilum(1) was deserted in 5 mins after... so basically they could log out and wait for 10 mins. instead on some servers they chose to respawn 6 hours in a row to let other people farm them.. Thats a human error... not a game error.. But as I said, hotfix was needed way sooner. But this was no exploit, just bad game design from BW. so well. as I said, nobody forced people to keep respawning and feeding others. (I would have logged of myself and went for a walk or something) But do not hate the players for this, hate the bad patch for ilum.
  4. I don't care either way tbh. I do think that a hotfix (should have come yesterday) would have been better, but thing about it a full rollback will hurt all people, not just the people that stayed in ilum for hours after hours (I was there for a few hours myself to slaughter republics) its not the players fault it got broken... im0 a fast emergency hotfix should have been applied within a few hours last night instead. Again I wont cry if they do a rollback nor be happy. because they can't (mark my word) rollback valour gained from ilum only, it will be a full server rollback if they do anything! this will mean that people that spent 10 hours in wz lose valour aswell. etc etc. But the problem with all this was poor testing and theory from how the ilum pvp should be... thats what lead to this... hopefully we can all shape it to become better and more fun for all.. So I will consider myself neutral in this. I am nor for or agains a rollback PS. bans would be a problem for BW. on my server atleast 900 people participated in ilum for atleast 1-2 hours... if not more (thats pure lvl 50's). banning people for playing the game is a no go. had people done a real exploit I could understand (but this is not a real exploit) just a bad bad pvp patch from BW.
  5. First off. Yes ilum is bugged and you could call it exploit (but 70% of the lvl 50's on every single server was there for atleast a few hours killing stuff) Nobody forced anyone to stay. its their own mistake f they got spawn camped in my opinion. About the rollback. you can forget about that, since they wont be able to just rollback valour gained from ilum etc. but they will rollback all people and other stuff aswell.. (poor new 50's that just got epics) The best solution to this was a hotfix and they are giving us one. its that simply..
  6. You know.. when you play 10 hours + each day for a month.. thats pretty much what you get.. (don't lie thats what you did) I had to much time on my hand aswell and I played to much aswell. I did the exact same thing as you (only I am 57 in valour) also got the magenta etc etc.. You know what. I still like the game and have fun. What I don't expect is the game to be designed for people that have 10 hours+ a day to play.. but rather people that play 2-4 hours (like most of my guildies, they turned 50 this week or well some even today first) guess what. they think this game is one of the best mmoRPG's ever and so do I. If you are burned out its your own mistake and you should consider playing less each day (or only a few times a week). Personaly, I enjoy pvping, socializing and doing lame stuff ingame (I love dancing in my sandpeople outfit) I am pretty amazed that we already get a new patch with more content. in a few months we will have quite a large game and maybe the legacy system will work (I plan on making my 2nd alt when that happens). Swtor got all what a modern mmoRPG and even old mmoRPG's got... alot of fun content and alot of grind.. (grind being your q). I never had so much fun since DAoC.. But again... this game is not made for people to rush or play 14 hours a day. its made for the avg joe! if you expected otherwise you never played another mmo from the getgo before.
  7. I solo tank Eternity Vault (normal mode as only tank) with ease and I main tank Eternity Vault on hardmode aswell without any problems whatsoever. So surely you are doing something wrong
  8. Its called Magenta. They are very popular. I was lucky enough to get the 33crit one a week back and I have sold well over 50 of them for and avg price of 500k
  9. It drops from all world bosses I think. I got the magenta one today. we did almost all world bosses (not the totaly low lvl ones) and that was pretty much the only useful item we got but still fun. Now I just need to RE a t2 lightsaber or find out how to get a adegen crystal, since like alot of people point out the one on ilum is always depleyted (even when I logged in just after server maitenence) So I guess its just bugged or there is some other way to get it.
  10. Sadly the PvP champion gear is alot better than the normal (even hardmode drops).. yes I am talking about all the stats... not just the useless expertise stat. I have no problem doing pug raids and stuff. but doing a few (not all) of the hardmodes always have a weird last boss... I am tank so can't really say if its because we lack dps and heals, but I doubt it since the same 4 people can take down raid bosses with 4 randoms... I mean obviously there is something wrong in a few of them.
  11. Hi all Normaly only people that are angry, flaming, trying to hurt the game, etc roam the general forums after a game is released. I am waiting in a queue, (will be for another 20 mins) and this is no problem for me tbh. I would like to tell the story about all the people playing and having fun with this game, is it 100% done and bug free??? no.. no mmoRPG is ever bug free or done.. I got to play from the very first wave on first EA day and I have been having blast, so much infact that I am lvl 50 now (abit fast due to much time on my hands). But this is no problem because swtor is pretty damn good and fun. Whats a game winner? The companion system is very nice and adds a BW feel to the game. Good story with choices. Questing is the most fun I ever had in a themepark mmoRPG. Group Pve is fun and not to easy (atleast when you get further) Group world pvp with RvR is a blast. Group Instanced pvp is a fun aswell. Daily quest are not too easy but take abit of time and effort. Fun minigames. Super customacations and modification features. (its damn nice) Social items are fun. I like exploring, unlike what some thing, you can go whereever you want, sure you wont get the quest done fast, but nobody is holding you back, I found datacrons this way on very weird places. Some of this is normal for any good mmoRPG thats themeparked, but there is alot of unique features here aswell. Bad expieriences. We do have a few glitches here and there and stuff thats not fully tested (like some hardmode bosses) but its nothing gamebreaking. I see alot of complaints about load times, but I personaly think the loadtimes are decent if not good. Bottom line here for me is. Swtor is fun and very addictive, I enjoy playing and will keep playing this mmoRPG for a long time, I can't remember having so much fun since DAoC. I can however understand that some poor fellow's have played mmoRPG's up untill the very start of this one and if you think its boring, it may just be you have a mmoRPG burnout and need something else for some months. Again, this is without a doubt the best themepark mmoRPG the last 7 years.
  12. Its actually wierd, because on my server people gladly go respec to heal or dps... then again I don't have much problem finding groups since we are normal 1 of each "dps healer and tank" 1 random dps is rather easy to find
  13. my lvl 50 crafting stuff needs hm flashpoint mats.. and its pretty awesome.. just saying. I do agree that low lvl crafting is truely pointless sadly.
  14. I meet tons of new friends and made new chans. for LFG.. I didnt have much problem and so far people have been super friendly (talking to people often results in this) The people I talked with and enjoyed grouping with are all on my FL now and I pug with them untill enough guildies join my lvl.. some even joined the guild. Social skills are important if you want a group. being a ***** to fellow players will be remember and most likely you will not get a group with those again.. (unlike a random lfg tool where people idle on fleet)
  15. I don't mind turning it on (its should be a passive I agree) but well.. nothing that breaks my game. Maybe its because I don't play warzones that much.
