  1. I still don't get why pandarien are blowing people's minds. like people can't comprehend a panda race.. are people stupid?
  2. Literally all the things you mentioned are balance issues. what are simple feats in a single player RPG, is a whole new ballpark in an MMO.
  3. So your ultimate fix is to leave slicing be (so you can get your monies worth), and let it fester until the economy IS established, and once it starts snowballing out of control, THEN its time to fix it? Thats actually a great idea. "Sir, we have a problem." "QUIET! leave it be until it becomes a bigger problem!"
  4. People who normally wouldn't partake in RP or hate RP, are being strong-armed into it and they have no clue its even happening. I absolutely love how suiting this game is to an RP setting. My character actually plays a role in the game and its story, rather than just existing within it. I'm watching as my character who has his own personality is making decisions that shape who he is. Its a refreshing change from my prot paladin being a paladin that is prot and thats the end of his story Have to hop in to say that WoW doesn't pay tribute to its actual storyline, the books are pretty damn good, and the lore behind the game is very compelling
  5. Then what about, for example, Bounty Hunter? Good or bad, it doesn't matter. I am not working for either side. whoever can sign the biggest paycheck is going to win my attention until the job is done. Also, there is some times where the obvious good or bad isn't really fitting at all. for example, in my class quest, I found my imprisoned arch-enemy, so I force him to beg for his release, and when he does, I go "jk go **** yourself" and leave him in the ship to rot, the ship that I will be momentarily blowing to hell with the entire crew aboard just to prove a point. Meanwhile, I disable any chance they have at saving themselves so I can be 100% sure they all die in the vacuum of space, and that's if the explosions don't rip and mangle their flesh beforehand. +100 light side. Clearly I was being a nice guy there.
  6. It would be more like hopping in the shower, and its not the right temperature.... So you yank on the faucet, and now your countries currency is only worth a quarter of what it was.
  7. What would have happened if they didn't fix it? People would pick up on the get rich quick scheme most every single person would have slicing for the profiteering. Eventually, in this immature fresh game economy, it would become inflated by the majority of people having far more credits than they normally could have achieved. New players would be strong-armed into slicing because it would be the only way they could afford anything in the global market, which would then just support the heavy inflation. Then, eventually they would finally say enough is enough, and nerf it. By this point, prices have already been established and the economy will bottom out. fixing it now and fixing it hard was probably the best thing they could have done.
  8. Better do what he says, he's a Whale Biologist. EDIT: Loved that line. Hilarious post OP, 10/10
  9. With the absolutely IMMENSE role droids play in the star wars universe, i can't see them deciding against this. I was hoping that they would make droids playable out the gate, and seeing how this game plays out now, I would love to see what kind of personalities people would invent for a cold calculating machine. DB-19 = Arguement invalid // DB-19 = Processing bullet to enemy face
  10. Dear OP, Turn your shadows completely off. enjoy gaining 120 fps. sincerely, me
  11. Women generally don't cause physical harm like men do. Women get inside of your head, make you turn against yourself, and suck every bit of life you have out of you, all the while making you think you are doing this to yourself, and if the news taught me anything, it is then, and only then, that they will try to light you on fire or cut your sack off when you sleep. sounds kinda sith like to me
  12. Seeing everyone loves putting this **** in WoW terms, It would be like you on a level 85, facing off with a level 19 rogue who, although has the same health pool as you do, has nothing at his disposal outside of sinister strike and backstab. Not really competitive. that being said, i think 10-19, 20-29, 30-39 etc. is just too many brackets for the balancing stat PvP system. Imo, something like 10-29 and 30-49 and then a 50's bracket would be more than enough. The issue is pitting 10s and 20s vs 50s is a bit much, but they can easily mingle among themselves. in my low teens I had no problem dishing some serious pain to people in the high 20s to low 30s because of the stat balance.
  13. I assume that once these augment pieces become commonplace the augments themselves will erupt until the newcomers finally get their fill
  14. Very informative, thank you. I will probably hang on to it and level it for now; its not as if powerleveling crew skills is anything difficult for the first couple hundred plus levels. My hope is that most of the people who mass sliced for profits will QQ so hard about the epic scale of this nerf and instantly drop it for something else, in turn making my slicing more profitable in the long run
  15. I picked up slicing pretty much purely for the profits. I knew it was broke and new it would eventually get fixed so I'm not really mad about the balancing. I am an Armstech and a Scavenger, and picked up slicing pretty much for money because its useless to my craft. Do mission discoveries sell well enough to keep it around, or should I just drop it and pick up investigation for my crafts actual mats? I don't know if it still turns enough profit to justify keeping it.
