  1. I have never been able to choose a main in any game, I always end up with at least one of every class. For SWTOR I tend to jump between my Sniper and Sorc, I love the stories of both as well as the DPS capabilities. I lean toward Sorc for the option of heeling and actually being helpful in my group
  2. Ended up deciding on Sorc, turns out I like the tiny bit of added mobility, plus I do eventually want to learn at least heal in PvP. Thanks for the help though
  3. I' managed to focus entirely on story content for the last 4-5 years, so I never really did any PvE content besides Kuat, and the only PvP was for the introduction mission.. So now that I am wanting to get into primarily PvE content, I have no idea what I am supposed to look for in a main class. Mainly torn between Sorc or Sniper, I love the DPS and play style of both, but leaning toward Sorc because the resource management seems easier(and I like the animations). I am just worried that it won't perform well enough to actually do endgame PvE stuff(even though idk what that is lol). Any suggestions? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask
  4. I have no idea what we are talking about, but I will give you a Life Day Reveler decoration, and 25 credits as a bonus.
  5. Mostly decided upon operative, have had a lot of fun so far, just a few confusing moments on if I should stay and help defend, or go help the people who are capping. I can tell though that the sage/sorc probably would have been a better option, since they seem to die way less than I do, and tend to put out roughly double the healing I do. I do however already have a lvl70 sorc, a lvl70 sage, and a lvl30 sage(first sage was boosted second is for the story.. which I find very boring), so I guess that is just a matter of changing specs if I find I feel like it in the future. Anyways, that guide was really nice, if I hadn't read it, I probably would have already given up. The guide also inspired me to finally change my clicking ways, at least for healing.. for DPS, it is too much of a habit at this point
  6. Yeah, I saw that today, thanks though.. Now just trying to decide between operative or sage, turns out my lvl50 "operative" is a sniper :/ Still leaning toward operative though, due to seeing massive amounts of sorcs/sages and mercs/mandos recently(last match of this morning had 4 or 5 sorcs).
  7. I have been wondering for a while why f2p players aren't allowed to post on the forums, however, I can see the obvious negatives from allowing them to post. Perhaps a compromise of requiring that the be preferred players, be a certain level ingame, and limit the amount that they can post? Also, what is with these posts about SWTOR shutting down soon? I haven't seen any signs of that happening(unless EA loses their license, I guess).
  8. I know for me personally, I have been using Left, Right, and Mid since I started playing roughly 3 years ago, so now it is mostly just habit. I have seen people try to use East and West in Voidstar, but I still have no idea what door they are talking about when they use those. No idea about the new maps though, have barely played them, and people don't seem to even bother making callouts in any of the matches I am in, so haven't really had the ability to learn them anyways.
  9. I have been playing this game for about 3 years now, and have roughly 18 characters at this point, but had the sudden realization last night that I have never done anything besides DPS in this game.. and I did fail miserably at tanking early on... Anyways, how would I go about learning to heal on a Scoundrel? I am mostly interested in the PVP end of things, but just have no clue on how to do any of it. Also, I am a skill clicker if that makes any difference, I will never understand keybindings(I do have a few, but only for my most used skills).
  10. Not sure about the EA cards, since I tend to not use much stuff related to EA, but if you need game time codes, they are still sold on Amazon, also Origin usually has a nice bundle for this game, which comes with some game time.
  11. Probably the same reasons for why the GTA series has been so popular. Personally, I just play DS most of the time because I have played DS characters since the original KOTOR, I do tend to lean more neutral nowadays with my characters, but I still find most of the DS choices to be more fun, or even make more sense in certain cases.
  12. I would say around 80% of my characters end up being Miralukas, I just love the idea of being a blind force user, or blind sniper. The other 20% are or will be Purebloods. I do have one Togruta, but I never play him because the lack of a helmet annoys me.
  13. I am mostly okay with a server merge/mega server, having played games with mega servers, I have found it easier for when joining a game with friends(actually just had that issue here, friend joined and didn't want to play on Harbinger, I transferred to his server, he lost interest within a week). My main worries would be involving character names, and that I would be worried about having to re-design my house.. again. Otherwise, a server merge doesn't really effect me, since I don't play enough for it to effect me majorly(my college schedule is insane, only play during summer, spring, and winter breaks).
  14. Probably just a better way to communicate with the community would be a good start. Overall I think it will be hard to please the community since from what I can tell, the community is a bit diverse on what they want. Like I personally love the story content and do very little outside of it, but I know the PvP and PvE has been suffering for a while. I just hope they don't do anything like SWG's NGE(which I loved, but the community obviously hated).
  15. Nevermind, tried both servers for a bit and was instantly sold on Ebon Hawk, think I just started my transfer... Or with my luck it will turn out to be that I actually started the process of deleting my character. Anyways, on The Ebon Hawk my ping only spikes to 400 at most(which like I think I said, is average for me), while on Harbinger, no matter where I go, it spikes to 1-5k within a few minutes, thus disconnecting me. Double checked that it wasn't just an issue with my wireless device before starting the transfer though. If it comes down to it, I will just play on both servers(which I may do since I am too cheap to buy more character slots, and 12 seems kind of limiting for my obsessiveness of constantly changing classes/races).
