  1. Currently I am only posting information about builds that I feel fully comfortable answering playstyle/theorycrafting questions about. Until I try other builds extensively I will not be able to give very insightful responses on those builds.
  2. The sorcerer class can be a lot of fun to play if you like the traditional caster role that is so often found within MMO games. The sorcerer is a highly mobile glass cannon type class that can deal huge amounts of damage if left to free cast in PvE/PvP. Healing is fun as well on sorcs.
  3. Added Hybrid PvP mini guide and asked a question for the readers in the "Writers Note" section.
  4. I was slow answering questions on this thread for about a week... I was busy in real life up until yesterday and now I will continue to answer PMs and thread questions. If you would like to talk to me in game my name is "Frozen" on the server "Terantatek" (I think).
  5. It is almost worth it to just try and live through the grind of questing and get to 50 as fast as possible. It allows you to just PvP without the need to do quests if you wish to make your toon a PvP toon.
  6. Agreed, as long as you have the proper utility and manage to put out adequate dps then you are doing your job right.
  7. There are currently a multitude of viable specs in TOR. I prefer the less "hybrid" specs and enjoy going deep down a tree to get spells such as Creeping Terror.
  8. Still accepting private messages... Please keep the messages on topic to the post. I will not help with healing.
  9. I'm using Chrome, so I'm not sure what the problem would be.
  10. I'll repost my builds in a bit. EDIT- Links seem to be working fine for me. -.- Hmmm...
  11. When I say clicking to move I mean that you should be holding down both mouse buttons and use Q-W-E to move forward/strafe. You shouldn't use A/D to turn and NEVER use S to back peddle. Such movements are clunky and a good PvPer will run circles (literally) around you. ------------- In regards to hybrid specs.. I'm not a fan of them as they don't utilize the full utility of either spec. The hybrid that is listed above does not provide the guaranteed crit and it does not have the snare on creeping terror (or death mark for extra dps) and thus it loses out on the staple abilities for each spec. I will post what I view as the most viable hybrid spec and the uses to the spec as an edit within the main thread.
  12. I agree with you Trivialed, the burst even in the Lightning tree is not even in the same realm as the operative (or its republic counterpart). Something needs to be done about this as operatives can come up behind us and cc us down to 20-30% hp before we have a chance to do anything.
  13. The flat damage is similar. Although you'll struggle to be able to output to your full potential in a pvp situation where madness a highly mobile dps spec.
  14. In theory, lightning is viable in PvP due to the high damage output. Snipers have the same situation down the Marksman tree. A loss of mobility can kill a tree for PvP and lightning doesn't have the ability to be active enough in a fight to compete at a high level. For defending points in Alderaan (sp?) it would be supreme, but when it comes to a mobile game as hutball you may as well be sitting back spectating the match.
