  1. Understandable. With that being said, what would YOU suggest off the bat to optimize your setup to run the game better. From basics to any advanced tips. Just figured I could try your suggestions on my current setup. Thanks
  2. Yah that's why I came here to ask. I know people have issues with beast computers but figured you guys could guide me towards a setup that works well with swtor on ultra. If the gfx options are available I'm enticed to max them And thanks everybody for the responses!
  3. Haha good one. Yeah I can understand what you're saying but I'm not one to rant on forums. Good stuff though lol.
  4. Fair enough. Though I do see recommendations for i5's and never for i7's. Not sure if that's just coincidence or intentionally a recurring statement. Either way thanks for contributing.
  5. Yeah, ive noticed the same talk around the PC specs discussions as well. I've noticed a lot of people recommending i5 over i7. But I didn't realize it as much til you brought it up. I'm not totally clueless with PC'a but got so much going on I haven't researched enough. So in my mind i7 seems a higher model = better performance. This is amatuer thinking so I appreciate the help. I need it haha.
  6. Well that's not promising lol. How do these guys on YouTube videos run nearly 60 fps in their war zone videos? Damn.
  7. Awesome, thanks guys. At work so I'll look over all info, plus your PM papa, later today.
  8. Hey guys/gals, My current PC isn't running swtor up to what I'd like it to run. The specs are quite outdated so I'm looking into building a new PC. Now I know people have been having issues with swtor even with nice machines post 3.0. That being said, I see videos on YouTube of people running ultra with smooth framerate of 40-60 consistently in war zones etc post 3.0. I am aiming for this or more. I mainly play swtor/WoW atm but would also like some future proofing for upcoming games. Anybody willing to throw me a good PC build that will easily give me my results and give me some safety for upcoming games? (Say, Battlefront? Thanks.
  9. Naw man, you are doing the right thing. Ignore raging tards. 1) what you are doing is more efficient, helps the healer, and the group overall by making the tanks job easier overall and 2) if said tank yells at you for this don't question yourself. If they're gonna be jerks outright for no reason just ignore their rudeness and continue doing your thing. If they're polite you can probably discuss it and decide as a group what's best. The healer will probably side with you
  10. Definitely wasn't trying to poke at you. Sorry if I came off aggressive. When I said you sound adament I just meant you seemed very one sided w/ out discussing it. Like you said, opinions. Now on to the subject I agree with you. The content is quite easy, things aren't instant death unless you slip up multiple times and kill yourself (players fault) etc. was just wondering if it was intended or not BUT your "only operative heals" point is something I didn't think about. So good point. As for a dps we have the 10min cool down on revive but I didn't think about OP heals. Good catch. I would guess that this would specifically prove it isn't intended. ^_^ it is fun to help that way as an assassin though lol
  11. That is why I asked. I know it wasn't intentional in, for example, WoW and it got fixed. But why are you do adament about it being an issue? What's different between that and a combat rez? Not much and it gives assassins more utility. And just cause someone dies doesn't mean they should stay dead and suffer. Humans aren't perfect. Errors happen. And personally I don't think it's a crutch but more of a utility. It gives a class more uniqueness. That's like saying a dps taking damage in a fight is a crutch for healers and they are really bad. What if the healer couldn't save them in time for aoe and they die? I can stealth and res while the healer keeps the tank up. utility..
  12. Assassins / shadows. Resurrect
  13. So we all know sins and operatives can perform a sort of "combat" ress where they vanish which takes them out of combat and allows them to ress someone. This can be a vital tactic, almost like a combat ress that a merc or sorc bring. As I play a dps sin as my main I do this all the time. It's quite useful and brings more utility to the class. Now what I am wondering is if this is intended by Bioware or is it just a gimmick type of tactic that they never intended. I've never heard either way but then again you'd think if they had an issue with this tactic it would have been fixed or brought up already. Anybody know?
  14. He said specifically "DPS" assassin. No problems with tank sins cause they bring a vital role, tank. Lol. But what do dps assassins bring the whole raid is what he was getting at.
