    Why don't mix teams?

Well the right way to do it at the moment is just to mix in my oppinion. PvP players doesn't stop playing because its not cannon, they stop playing because of severe imbalance. On my server, when I play imp i often doesn't see a rep game for an entire evening, meaning that the pvp population should be about 10-1. So start mix the teams or loose even more of the population
  2. After being away from the game for a couple of years I notice that nothing has changed in the faction imbalance on the server where I play. Reap has no chance in any of the games against imp. And I mean NO chance. Having no control point for the entire game, always loosing 0-6 in huttball and so on. Essentially, PvP is only viable for imp, forcing rep players to level an alt for PvPing. This is a bit sad as it locks out a lot of players. So why don't mix the teams with rep and imp in both teams? The only games I have played who have managed to have some balance is the once where faction don't matter in the PvP lineup. And with the new imp/rep alliance thing going on, PvP could be seen as combat practice if anyone still cares about being tru to the story in PvP. The whole "best class of the patch" will never end for PvP content, but lineup should be taken care of.
  3. Is it just on my server or are the teams getting more and more uneven? I have now one PvP charatcer in every bracket. And thats not just because i'm an altoholic but it is neccesary to find an even match in PvP. The common game nowadays is that one side totally dominating the other side. I mean, I have no problems with loosing an even match. But when the other team holds all 3 control points or win huttball in 4 minutes it's no fun. Luckily it is possible to find a bracket with even games if cycling through them. The downside is sometimes having to play with newbees in the lowest bracket. But i can handle control points left totally unguarded if it means the game is even, and I get the chance of practicing my skills without getting killed before my second global cooldown is over.
  4. Haha, you must have been the stealther that killed my healer every f---n time I exited our start zone every game
  5. I solo queue and regulary ends up in the top three in my team regarding medals, so at least i'm playing the objectives. And hopefully i'm not causing my team to fail in any other way. The problem is that all of the opposite team is really good players and all night was outleveling us with between 5-10 levels Note that I'm not whining about pugs, premades or any of the normal whines. I'm just frustrated that it's hard to practise at getting better when the other team is so dominant.
  6. ... maybee some... matchmaking...
  7. And the ironic part is at pre 55, the situation is the complete opposite, so the ggod imps have stopped playing 55 and are playing alts in pre 55 WZ instead...
  8. Just a tiny question to those of you who don't want anything about PvP to change. How do you suggest fixing the 80% loss rate factions have on many servers? "Just get better" you say? Havn't worked the last 6 months and wont work until the PvP base have vanished...
  9. On my server Imps loose about 80-90% of the games on weekday evening. So I don't play anymore even though I used to play loads of PvP games. But the good part is now that the game is F2P I don't have to give Bioware my money anymore until they have fixed matchmaking or cross server queues. From reading this and many similar threads, it looks like the situation is similar on several servers, but the dominating faction varies. So cross server queues can fix some of the things that make me stop oaying for the game.
  10. On every char I'm playing PvP is heavily dominated by one side. I litteraly have played 20 games watching TV and only clicking the icons and still dominate with the toons at the domiating side, and at the oposite side i play like a madman using LOS, combos and all tricks in the book and still looses heavily. The result; i don't like playing either side. The thing that keeps my going are the novare coast where we loose or win by 5% to 0%. Thos ematches make me endure the following 20...
  11. That might be the case, but still; on my server i have now a running winning % of 14% the latest 30 games and still I'm doing well in healing and overall medals, but that doesn't count when playing against teams that are on comm and can coordinate and get all the objectives. The matches where I heal for over 1 milion is normally the games we loose... Damage and heals doesn't matter much in PvP is more about objectives. The last 10 games hasn't been even close. Huttball losses in 5 minutes, all 3 control point held by the oposite and so on. So whatever you are saying, on my server PvP is dead. I only play to get the practise so that one day in a couple of months the tide may have turned...
  12. This is exaqctly what happens on my server basically each and every weekday evening. I play 3 games and notice i play 3 or 4 of the oposite players each game and they always dominate us. So what do I do? I'm tired of the situation beeing like this for the last 2 months, so i logout. Or if i'm in a good mood I stay for 5 games or so always loosing big and try to play some mini game where I try to beat my personal best in healing in huttball games lost 0-6 in 5 minutes (yeah, that happens often enough for me to be able to try to beat my PB in healing in those games).
  13. Finding myself logging in less and less often, From a couple of games each night down to a couple of games each week. Have taken me about 50 games to reach 8 wins. I think I'm an average skilled player with average experience, but on my server Imps loose about 80-90% of the games during evenings. Nowadays I often find myself in lvl55 PvP with at least 2-3 persons with valor around 20 which makes me suspect that they are after the looks of the PvP gear. Not that many high valor (or skilled) PvP players queueing anymore. And this is a bad circle, with less and less skilled players and a higher percentage of inexperienced players which even more scares of the experienced ones.
  14. On my server it's the complete oppposite. Rep dominate weekdays and in the weekends the matches are more even. So i check in every now and then to see if the balance is better when playing during the weekdays. And if not I level my alts or just don't play.
  15. The problem isn't gear, but server imbalance. On my server (red eclipse), during prime time I find it very hard to play PvP. Playing solo I find myself teamed together with grouped players about one match out of 4 and then it's normally one team of two or three players. Also, Rep players seems to be better at PvP and better geared meaning that even if the teams are evenly matched concerning grouped players, it still tends to be a Rep victory (but those are still fun games if they are even). My sollution is not to play PvP during prime time with my lvl50 imp. Instead I play in the 10-49 bracket with my alt to level it up for future use. Or level my Rep alt which is pretty fun as well. PvP with my main is reduced to mostly off hours.
