  1. @badalchemist, thats what I am not sure about aswell, I will try to do some test once I get home
  2. @MorningMusume I would really like to see a spreadsheet for that @Eroex Thanks for your input! I am quite new to Pyro. I thought Thermal Detonator worked like Explosive Dart. If it is a single target skill I really don't feel like investing a point into it. Regarding the Prototype Cylinders, is it worth loosing 3% critical with tech for 1% critical with tech and +10% periodic elemental dmg on targets under 30% HP? It seems counterintuitive to me but I might be wrong. Keep the input commin'
  3. I have been a lvl 50 Shieldtech for 2 weeks and I have switched to Pyrotech yesterday. I must say the dmg surprised me (pleasantly). I have been trying to optimize my dmg for PvE, I was hoping a more experienced Pyrotech might point me in the right direction. Build A: Pretty standard pyrotech PvE build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hzZMsZfhrbzGhrs.1 Build B: A more hybrid approach with the goal to get the 9% aim bonus: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hMhZMsZfhrbzGhMM.1 Build C: A wholesome build, but at the cost of not getting the +60% armor. pen. for Rail Shot: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hMhZMZfhrbzGhrs.1 Now, I used Build A yesterday with my hybrid Sorc (Madness/Lightning) friend on False Emperor yesterday. We killed the last boss so fast that we didn't even need to throw him off the bridge (until then I didn't even know it was possible). We killed the Two Robot mini-bosses who shield themselves without the second one even activating the his shield. Overheating was not a big issue and the dmg was very nice. What I hoped to achieve with Build B was increase single target dmg as much as possible. At the cost of loosing Thermal Detonator, and Automated Defenses (most importantly loosing the CD reduction on Thermal Sensor Override). I am really not sure about this build but it seems OK on paper for max. single target dmg. With Build C I get the nice +9% Aim and I don't loose the enhanced AoE dmg from Thermal Detonator. Plus I keep the nice heat management with Automated Defenses, but at the cost of loosing 60% armor. pen. for Rail Shot and the +3% tech. crit. from Prototype Cylinders. The thing I wonder most about with this build is how big the dmg loss for Rail Shot is on HMs without the strong armor. pen.. Sorry for the wall of text, but playing Pyrotech has been such a blast that I wanted to explain my reasoning before asking an experienced Pyrotech for help. Looking forward to Your input.
  4. I couldn't agree more. I justed resped to pyrotech from shield tech. My guild needed a dps since we had too many tanks. Even with 6 tank items my pyrotech (powertech) dmg was pretty sweet. Me and my hybrid sorc friend destroyed the last boss in The False Emperor so fast there was no need to throw him off the bridge. Until then I didn't even know it was possible to finish him like that.
  5. Easily doable with only one knockback. You just need a tank with a brain position the boss intelligently.
  6. Let me guess, you are not very good at computer games
  7. The Jedi Knight with the name Master. -of the Bater Legacy
  8. I usually decide if a game was worth the purchase depending on many hours of entertainement it gave me. If I go to the cinema I pay 7.5€ for 90-120 minutes of entertainement. So if a game gives me more then 12 hours of entertainement it was worth it. Of course I am much happier if a 50€ game gives me 120+ hours of entertainement
  9. Oh yeah there is a cost. At this point is 0.33% of my whole cash per death. And I don't even have that much credits.
  10. @OP, you are right. BioWare delivered what they said they would. After a couple of months when they fix most of the bugs (which is a process every MMO has to go trough after launch). The game will be what it was meant to be. Each individual will have to decide whether or not they have fun playing SW:ToR. It's simple.
  11. I used to play Neverwinter Nights on a private server for a long time. The death penalties were brutal, you lost most of your cash (70%), you lost experience levels (worth 10-12 hours of exping). It made the game so much fun. I miss this in modern games.
  12. @OP, MMOs are based on repetition. Quit for a mont,h if you miss it come back, if not find another game
  13. I am just waiting for Diablo 3 to come out. So I guess I will be playing SW:ToR for at least 3 more months. At least I will get to see how BioWare will upgrade the game in this time. If they do well I might stickaround for a longer time, if they don't no hard feelings but bye bye. I guess for people who have played tratidional MMOs for 5+ years doing a raid twice a week and som HMs + PvP every day gets boring real fast. P.S.: I hope the game will do well and put pressure on WoW, we need more diversity and we need many competing MMOs not just one.
  14. I guess all MMOs will have difficulties at launch (and 3+ months later). Some will do better some will do worse. Even so many single player games are released unfinished. Does it mean that the paying customer should be happy about it? Hell no! But I don't see a change comming very soon.
  15. It is sooo easy to dodge the ball you trow at the defender and all you achieve is a ball reset.
