  1. You can save your interface layout in the interface editor. Then when you switch to an alt, just load the saved file. The rest of the preferences should be in a settings file that is computer specific. If you use many different computers, you may need to save your preferences on each. Hope that helps.
  2. I looked all over last night and couldn't find a way to do this. I think it's just the credit boxes. Having to buy them one-at-a-time with 2 clicks and then open them for cash with 2 clicks takes for ever when you have hundreds of coms on your account.
  3. I use it a lot in PvE (Flashpoints etc.) but almost never in PvP unless I'm sure that I won't get gang-banged. It's a great heal, but depends on you being stationary. Some FP bosses will allow you to use it, others not so much.
  4. Having your timers up is not skill-based. If I am a slightly worse player but have my timers up and you don't, I can probably pull out a win. Skill is the dominant factor primarily when other factors are near equal. That was my point and one that you failed to address above. For some classes having timers makes a huge performance difference that can often outshine skill alone. I do agree that this is largely independent of class, which was your primary assertion.
  5. Ability to beat another class 1v1 depends on too many factors to oversimplify it in this way. Are your cooldowns up? Are theirs? Do you have a stim and adrenaline boost up? Did you have a relic up? Are you starting at range? I agree that the game did a very good job of balancing classes, but many are more dependent on cooldowns than others. If you're going to do a 1v1 comparison, let's at least compare 1v1 ability over a 5 or 10 min window. Some classes can still shine without their timers up. My operative, for example, is significantly less effective when timers are down as compared to a sage or assassin. Just a thought.
  6. You were? What about the people peeling you, healing you, and passing you the ball on the way to the goal line? Huttball is a team sport. The MVP can be anyone regardless of who gets the ball over the goal.
  7. This. I love lethality on my sniper but hate that I am constantly having to manage energy. I doubt any other class in game as the same energy problems as a lethality sniper or its gunslinger counterpart. It really needs to be looked at.
  8. You forgot about the other 4 people that are attacking you the moment you leave stealth. Once you hit someone with hidden strike, you're going to get knocked into oblivion, rooted, snared, and stunned. Huttball is a small map. Small maps make life tough for Ops as they decrease the chances of a clean 1v1. Ops excel at 1v1. 1v2 and 1v3 not so much.
  9. I used the term because it is the most approachable as most people visualize statistics in a Gaussian fashion. Apparently I offended your sensibility in the process. My apologies.
  10. Of course. Shall we discuss median and mode next? It was a generalization. You should be used to them on these forums by now.
  11. Honestly, I'm all for any system that levels the playing field in pvp faster. If I beat someone in pvp, I don't want them using the excuse that I was better geared. I am looking forward to the changes. I only hope that they replace the "win 3" with something like kills.
  12. Me too. These forums are great on a Monday morning at the office... when I'm trying to avoid work.
  13. Everyone gets a trophy for participation!!!! We're all special snowflakes!
  14. Technically, kill trading in Ilum wasn't an exploit either. Incredibly pathetic, yes. Exploit, no.
  15. This game has made me more nostalgic for DAoC than I ever would have imagined. I assumed that Star Wars... you know, the epic story about conflict and war... would be all about Empire vs Republic. Sadly, it's all about Empire and Republic vs loot dispensers. People want loot and they're willing to chase any buggy mechanism in order to get their fix. Meh.
