  1. PVE got one added FP for a content update (which was fun). I admit, PvP hasn't gotten a new map or anything...but what has been the majority of patches lately? Hasn't been PVE bug fixes, unless they were obvious game ending bugs (and still, some exist). Most of the patches have been with PvP in mind, which is my frustration. They're giving to much love to one aspect of the game and the other is suffering because of it.
  2. I"m actually looking forward to the combat logs. And yeah, the Operative nerf, while making the class "fair" in PvP, completely killed it's viability in PVE endgame. Had an Op in our raid the other night and he was doing horrible DPS compared others that were similarly geared. He was extremely frustrated at the end of the night, and I don't blame him. He was on par with the rest of us pre-nerf. To be honest a merc/trooper nerf will most likely kill that class for PVE. We're barely doing enough DPS in Ops as is, nerfing the mercs will only make things more frustrating (on top of all the bugs that don't get fixed). Endgame PVE is getting harder and harder with each PvP balancing patch.
  3. They'd probably have to create an entirely new engine for this. That would be hard to do at this stage.
  4. *opens a can of worms* Okay, don't get me wrong, I love PvP...but c'mon guys. Game has been out for a month and everything I see from patch notes to the Dev tracker (see the recently published Dev tracker) is about PvP. All the love is going to PvP, and PVE is starting to suck. Not only are bugs at endgame outright get ignored, but every time a PvP balance is made (i.e. nerfing) PVE gets more and more broken. I won't un-sub. I made that mistake with STO and DCUO and un-subbed to early. Just...relaying my frustration that an entire part of the game seems to be ignored. Don't make a new MMO mistake. I know eventually you'll find balance, but don't go down this road. You'll lose a lot of PVE'ers over the next month and it'll be hard to get 'em back. But yeah, anyone else frustrated by "PvP this" and "PvP that" from Bioware?
  5. Oh, threat generation is not a problem. It's difficult, but I have NO problem keeping threat at all. My main problem is the damage I take compared to the damage the sin tank was taking. I"m fully spec'd immortal and I was taking overall more damage (significant enough for the healers to replace me as main tank mid-raid) and he was in WAY less gear than me. It was ridiculous.
  6. I think it's the self-healing. Regardless, if I"m in full Columni set with two piece of Rakatta, I shouldn't be outperformd by another tank class that only has daily purple mods. That's an oversight on Bioware's part.
  7. Okay, so I've been playing a level 50 Jugg tank since about December. I'm in full columni with a few pieces of Rakata gear, and up until tonight, have been the only tank for raids. I've read the forums and I know Juggs have a problem with threat, but like most people I've been able to hold my own and make the class work. This is sort of like a "vent because I"m pretty frustrated" post. Tonight we ran a raid with two tanks, myself and a Sith Assassin. Now, the Assassin had a piece of Tionese and one columni, while the rest of his gear were oranges with purple daily mods. Looking and inspecting his gear, he didn't have nearly as much defense rating as I did (I had around 12% more damage reduction and about 15% more shield absorption), yet...I was taking significantly more damage from mobs. Not just a little, but significant. Our healers had no trouble healing him through KP frenzied rancors, where it was a struggle to keep me healed up. Not only that, but I learned tonight that Sith Assassins have not only an AoE taunt, but a high threat AoE damage ability, which made the assassin even more appealing as a tank. My question is...how? How did Bioware let this happen? Who designed one class better at a role (significantly better) than another class? Juggernaughts are outclassed in DPS and naturally outclassed as tanks (though single target tanks I think Juggs are better at than other tanking classes). What is the appeal to a Juggernaught anymore? It was really frustrating tonight.
  8. I'm a Jugg tank, and I use the fire grenade. Why? Because it's the highest DPS grenade (more threat) and, to be frank, the others are useless for tanks, in my opinion. Plus, the DOT on the fire grenade effects the threat for that much longer, I believe.
  9. The nerfing is getting slightly ridiculous. Just seems like they're taking the "nerf everything" approach to this game...
  10. I think you're just bad...or making stuff up. Pics or it didn't happen. Okay, my opinion? Single-to-double target threat is fine. Yeah, a good DPS will rip aggro from you, but you taunt the target and you keep him for 15-20 seconds before aggro is ripped again. The problem I have is AoE threat. This class was not meant to keep AoE threat...at all. Seems like half the time I'm taunting one target, choking a second one that's attacking the healer, running over and backhanding a third, then turning around to smack the other, each mob losing aggro as soon as I deselect them and move to another target. Not to mention the lack of ranged abilities, it's hard to move from target to target to even hit them to attempt to get single target threat back up. I just spam AoE taunt whenever I can (granted, I don't spam it for a group of normals). Overall, multi-target threat is broken for Juggs, it's that simple. It's not player skill. I may not be the best tank in the world, but I know what I'm doing. Need more AoE abilities. Grenades on a 5 minute linked cool down is not enough with Smash. It just really isn't.
  11. See, my main is a Jugg tank, so if I get that urge to jump into a fight, I go to my main. To be honest, I'm quite tired of melee x.x
  12. I love cover. The problem I have with my operative is I like using cover, but can't use it without gimping myself
  13. So, how viable is Sniper in PVE as a DPS? Not just compared to classes, but in general? Rolled an Operative, but I'm not liking the melee-heavy combat in PVE with him, so I was thinking about re-rolling as a Sniper (seeing as I"m only level 15). Sniper DPS: -Is it fun? -Is it viable for end game?
  14. It's...quite easy. It just takes logical thought and coordination. I've never had an issue with it, and when I do get knocked off the edge, it's because I was an idiot and didn't have my back to the wall. L2P issue here.
  15. The only bug that has us down is the one where he disappears when his target gets mind trapped. I"m getting pretty frustrated myself (as the tank) seeing as the mindtraps seem to be unavoidable. Submit ticket. That's all we can really do.l
