  1. In the GTN, I want to be able to TAB between the level text fields. Currently we have to move the cursor to one box, type a number, go back to the mouse to move a centimeter, and back to the keyboard to type the other number.
  2. (revive an old thread, start a new one...? Eh, this is the only post that showed up when I searched for UAC and User Account Control, let's keep it at a single result.) It has bugged me since the start that SWTOR requires elevated permissions to run but after 5 months, I stopped getting angry about it every time it launched. Today I found something that will let you setup your computer to launch SWTOR without the pop-up and without completely disabling UAC. I followed this forum post and it works perfectly! Set up the new shortcut and you can delete the original one. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/135472-faq-what-is-the-uac-part2/
  3. I'm one of those people who tanked and healed in warcraft, and used a ton of addons. I initially felt lost trying to do the same jobs in SWTOR but I've adapted. I know I'm not as fast on the heals as I was in warcraft when using vuhdu, but... I'M OKAY WITH THAT. I like that everyone has the same playing field and hope that mods aren't allowed in the future. The thing that I'd like most is a better alert for dispellable debuffs. That is the biggest hole in my game right now (and would love for tips on how to spot them on raid and party frames). Ideally for me, the persons frame would get a bright red border if I could cleanse it. Mouseover clicking on frames would be nice too, but not as important to me. It would free up precious bar space which would be its biggest benefit. As an op healer, I can't fit all the abilities I use, pvp & pve medpacs, relics and legacy abilities on my 4 bars, not to mention convenience things like quick travel.
  4. Yeah, I asked that because I have some guildies that swear that being flagged in our Ops increases their healing when in comparable PvP gear. I was having a hard time believing that could be true so I put it out there. I suspect they will still thinks it works and is a bug, not working as Austin described.
  5. How does expertise affect healing in PvE environments, like Operations for instance? If all players are flagged for PvP, will the heals they receive get the expertise bonus? If not, what prevents it?
  6. I came here hoping the idea had been posted, because it would be really useful! I would also like to be able to filter my crafting by main stat.
  7. I really REALLY hope the remaining East PVE servers (22 of them, 17 being launch servers) are going to a 3rd destination. The amount of concern over names in my guild (and home...) is surprisingly high to me and with so many other servers already being able to move to already populated servers, they are sure their names are all gone. It seems a little over the top, but they are seriously concerned. And while I only care a little bit, I still think their concerns are valid -- they don't have anywhere close to a fair chance to getting names when 23 other servers were able to go before them. Eh. As long as I'm making wishes, I'd like a pony, to win a $200M lottery, and for Corellian Run to be the third destination server.
  8. Good morning! Looks like the transfer process has worked for lots of people, good job! Now that the process has been shaking out and you've seen some data, can you release some information, even if just plans, on the servers that haven't been opened up? Info like whether the server will be (or is intended to be) a destination or origin; if origin, what the planned destination is; and if you are feeling frisky, an ETA? I'm sure you'll be reluctant especially with the ETA but it isn't last week still, you know more now! The force is with you!
  9. I am happily surprised by this announcement and with how soon the transfer process will be available! Thank you. I want to "me too" some of the concerns already brought up: 1. When do we get to see the origin and destination servers? This is key for doing research and planning. If the list comes out the day that transfers are available, people who work or are at school during the day are at a big disadvantage compared to those bums who are sitting around playing games! (Yeah, I'm jealous, so what? ) 2. Is there any way to see character, legacy and guild names already used on a server? This is a critical piece of the research for planning. 3. Don't close moves from destination servers from origin server any time soon. If some of our guild members come back to play they should be able to transfer to us, otherwise they may not re-subscribe. I have other worries but overall I'm excited this is going to happen. I look forward to seeing more non-light servers.
  10. It is stressful and tense and a downer to go through such moves, wishing all of you, the leavers and the stayers, good fortune.
  11. I'm looking forward to the changes in 1.3. I'm enjoying the game. Those are my positives. Now for the negative. I'm enjoying the game less now than ever and the reason why is because there aren't many people around. Fewer in my guild and way fewer on fleet. The feeling that the game is empty is much worse than the lack of new content. (FWIW, we still haven't finished stuff from 1.2, from legacy levels to HM KUS & LI.) The problem of low server populations is that it is self-perpetuating and BW, you have to break that ASAP. It is demoralizing to logon and find maybe 3 guildies and a fleet population so low that you know that a PVP queue will take over half an hour. Even though I enjoy the game, at that moment when I logon and see small numbers, I wonder why I bothered to logon myself. Sometimes, I go play something else. This will only get worse if it isn't addressed. And the longer it takes to address it, the more paying customers are lost. My own preference is to forcibly merge low population servers. I doubt voluntary transfers will have the needed quick impact -- unless you announce a server is closing in a week or two. By completely merging servers, guilds stay intact and if someone who hasn't logged on for awhile comes online, they aren't abandoned and lost in an empty galaxy. But whatever. I'm sure BW is thinking about these things. It just needs to happen FAST and despite the punctuation I used, I can't emphasize that enough.
  12. I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps a MUD?
  13. This. Back in January when I first hit 50 and was the last of our raid group to do so, we cleared story modes and I got tons of gear. Since then I've done a few HM FPs and do not see the point of running them. The gear isn't worth it, the gear currency isn't worth it, and most of them take too long to run anyway. [sidenote: realizing this made me appreciate even more how warcraft backed off the long dungeons of cataclysm with the twilight dungeons, which were far more compact and quick than the launch dungeons or the Zuls.] As for HM LI... ouch. We know we aren't top tier players (we've completed HM EV & KP, part of story EC, everyone is in columni+) but all of us have raiding experience and put forth effort to playing well and we haven't been able to finish HM IL yet. Because our players know it will likely take over 2 or 3 hours to get through it they don't even want to start it anymore. None of the earlier FPs will help us gear better for this one either, except maybe HM KUS. /sigh
  14. It isn't broken! It is working as designed as stated in the patch notes and as stated in the tool tip of the box you clicked to buy it. I understand you have buyer's remorse but they didn't hide that it was the neutral GTN, you just missed that part, that's your own fault. I agree with you that it isn't worth anything but that's why I didn't drop 5M on it. I will once it ties into the faction GTN though.
  15. Rumors? Did you read the tool tip on the legacy item? It says very plainly "Unlocks a neutral Galactic Trade Network terminal on all character's ships."
