I keep finding myself wishing a few of the cantinas were edgier and livelier--perhaps more like the Afterlife Club in Mass Effect 2. For instance, Nar Shadaa would be a good location for a dark, seedy club with loud, high-energy music and nefarious characters. The cantinas are just too "clean." We need more hives of scum and villainy!

And don't forget, the pre-release crystal vendor will still be there to sell +41 crystals to those who can access him (which is quite a few people, I would assume).

Here's a new uniform for you: The Prototype Salus Corporation Rigorcord Cuirass. It's a blue quality, level 50 chest piece. And the unique thing about it is the entire jacket is purple. Here it is on Torhead: http://www.torhead.com/item/9dE9uwZ/rigorcord-cuirass I found it before I hit 50, so I'm not sure where I got it. Torhead indicates it drops from a strong mob on Belsavis. However, I may have received it from a Treasure Hunting mission.

Regarding 'Defend the Shipment'...let's look on the bright side, at least you can still abandon the mission and then activate it again each day in order to grab some free companion affection.

Up until about a year ago, there was a game called 'Star Wars Miniatures' that was made by Wizards of the Coast. It was a tactical, squad-based strategy game that used collectible plastic miniatures. These miniatures were divided into factions and included a huge number of old republic-era figures. In particular, a large number of characters from the KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 video game series were represented--as well as a few characters from the Old Republic comic (e.g. Zayne Carrick, Lucien Draay, and Jarael). You can still buy singles of these miniatures from online retailers or on Ebay. Some you can get cheap. Others, like Revan, may still be a bit pricey.

Haha. True. However, as a body type 3 Assassin, none of the robes render properly on my toon. The detail is distorted. Pants are the best-looking option. But as a previous poster indicated, they're easy to find via social vendors.

Hardest fight in the class quest *SPOILERS*
Rabid-Wookiee replied to elaverick's topic in Combat Styles
The Collicoid Queen on Balmorra was by far the hardest boss fight for me as a Darkness Assassin. I died several times trying to beat it. It was the only fight that required me to try several strategies before finding one that worked. Later in the game it seemed like I was always over-levelled for the class quests, so I had no problems. For instance, I just finished the Voss boss fight on the first try at level 48. Zash was also easy for me. It helped that someone gave me 2 hints: As for non-class quests, there was a jedi master boss (champion level) on Nar Shadaa that gave me fits. It was the Heroic 2+ quest that entailed destroying the jedi's efforts to train aliens in the force. Granted, I was trying to defeat the fight solo, but I was also a bit over-levelled for the quest. Eventually, I had to get a buddy who was under-levelled for the quest to help me. In particular, what got me in that fight was that the boss was a Jedi Sage with lots of attacks that could bypass my defenses. And it was pre-Talos. -
I was about to say the same thing. I, too, bought the level 25 and 37 schematics from the GTN. However, over the last several weeks, I haven't seen ANY artifice schematics for sale on my server (and I check daily)--much less a Willpower-based shield schematic. So yes, the schematics are rare. On the plus side, if you can find a schematic, crafted shields currently seem to sell reasonably well on the GTN (though they require a lot of materials to craft).

If I understand your post correctly, it sounds like you owned a moddable/upgradeable lightsaber (the icon has an orange box around it), and then replaced it with a lightsaber that can't be modded (has a green or blue box around it). If that's the case, usually you can buy another orange lightsaber from the Galactic Trade Network or, oftentimes, from a world commendation vendor.
-
I've been able to buy schematics for a few Willpower-based shields on the GTN, but recently on my server, I haven't seen any artifice schematics for sale, whatsoever. Other than getting lucky with schematics and making your own shield, quest rewards, the GTN, world drops, treasure hunting rewards, and the rare world vendor are sources for a Willpower shield. They're certainly rare, and I generally don't have any problems selling them when I craft them (I bought schematics off the GTN for a level 25 and level 37 shield).

You're incredibly lucky if you got an orange bracer on the GTN for $1K. Bracers on the Ebon Hawk server are generally listed for $150K to $200K. On a side note, I've only seen the Saber Marshall's Bracer listed once. If a bracer is available, it's usually the Supreme Inquisitor Bracer.

Just to clarify, there are 2 belts that can be purchased from the ship upgrade commendation vendor. I believe the pertinent information on them is as follows: 1. Civilian Pilot Belt: 60 commendations; 2 modification slots; social I required; brown and silver belt 2. Imperial Pilot Belt: 200 commendations; 2 modification slots; social III required; black belt I don't believe either of the belts come with mods.
-
I'd suggest saving up your commendations and buying one from an Equipment Commendation Vendor. I'm not sure if this option exists on every planet, but I believe they're pretty common.
-
There's an easy way to get an orange belt. Simply go buy one on the Fleet from the spaceship commendation vendor.

Does anyone still use the old Microsoft Strategic Commander game controller? I just found my old Strategic Commander and tried to use it with SWTOR, but I can't get it to work. What do I need to do? Here's what I've tried so far: Following some advice from online forums I installed a program called StrategicEngine1.3.exe to make it compatible with a 64bit operating system. And while the controller lights are now on and I have access to an interface to program key binds, the controller doesn't seem to work while playing SWTOR. Nothing I push on the controller seems to do anything in game. FYI, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition. Thoughts? Solutions? Thanks!
