  1. We're pub side first to down DF/DP HM. Send whisper to one of Snet's many alts: Snet Taminy Racetrack Kirathrace Doctorscully Agentscully
  2. So you're saying have the 3 dps stay on platform and eat a few of the slams intentionally? Possible. Boss enraged at ~18%.
  3. Everyone has a 78 hilt / barrel mainhand. Rest of gear is also 78s and mostly optimized 78s (set bonus / good enhancements). We have a guardian/shadow for tanks and scoundrel/sage for heals. DPS is watchman sentinel, combat sentinel (for killing anomalies), and a sage and slinger for ranged (not sure on their exact specs). We get through the first phase just fine, often beating the second set of adds for each tentacle, ie the second set does not even spawn. During second phase we throw all the DPS on right tentacle then the combat sentinel leaves as soon as the first anomaly spawns. Other 3 dps continue killing right then left tentacles while the combat sent again deals with anomalies. We are hitting enrage during the third set of tentacles in the 2nd phase and he 1 shots the tanks and that's that. We're not even close either as we usually still have one of the tentacles at or nearly 100%. Is this bugged/normal or do we need to start throwing healers on the tentacles too? And also have the combat sent skip the last anomaly (it still spawns) and then we deal with it during irregularties phase?
  4. Yes, all of those were exploits. So were double matrix cubes. You also didn't give any kind of abstract definition of what you think exploit means and what you think loophole or unintended action or w/e means, just some examples.
  5. And the people actually doing the Gree Event who had to find a different pillar.
  6. What differentiates exploit vs oversight or loophole then? The most widely used definition of exploit in the context of gaming says something that wasn't anticipated with ingame mechanics is an exploit. Again do not fall into the exploit = cheat trap. Because exploit and cheat are not the same thing (though they are also not mutually exclusive).
  7. I said it before and I will say it again. In the purest definition of the word exploit, it was an exploit! Using an ingame mechanic that gives an advantage to one player or a disadvantage to another player THAT WAS NOT INTENDED by the developers is what the word exploit means. Too many people here (and sadly, the dev included) are equating exploit with the word cheating or the just in a general sense "something bad". Many new strategies are exploits (including on Xeno having the tank use a pillar or stealth to avoid thermal tolerance) in the purest sense of the word as well. An exploit that results in punishment and/or is explicitly against the TOS is more appropriately called a cheat. Many exploits are cheats but again that does not mean every exploit is a cheat. A later sanctioned exploit would more appropriately be called player innovation or similar words/phrases.
  8. No it doesn't. But keep replying and thinking you need the last word.
  9. True, but this is how most not game breaking, but not as intended issues are fixed if you're not new to MMOs. I remember way back in the day when an Everquest expansion came out, a bunch of the people in the supreme elite guilds would play 24/7 trying to get items or loot that they felt might be drop removed but not removed for players who had already looted said items. It's typically how these things are handled
  10. But you're forgetting that this would take a lot of work for them to roll back the experience too. It's a lot easier to close a bridge than to find the cars that went across it and tow them back
  11. I haven't heard one "need for companions" player state they have the balls to ask if the group is ok with it before clicking need. This seems more like the type of thing someone does and hopes no one cares or notices but if caught they try to justify it after the fact. If you want to need for companions, say up front and let others need for their companions too.
