  1. If they (BW) implemented holidays specific to the game/lore/eu of star wars as opposed to rl holidays it might work for example: a 'Republic Day' celebration specific to Coruscant, no where else, as most people on other planets wouldn't give a hoot about 'republic day' much less know when it was... They could do these once a year and have a couple of mini-games specific to that event that lasted for just that day. All the while they could introduce more galaxy wide events such as RGP or GAR whenever they wished (as long as they don't repeat those.... well unless they have another outbreak as a follow on to RGP... sorry just rambling now ) This imho would be worthwhile - just my two cents worth this afternoon
  2. I lol'd a bit when I read this @ work today couldn't wait to do it when I was able to login and now.... well now I'm proud to say, I managed to climb this 'MT Huttface' too.... (proof will be posted and linked here later ) proof (might not be the best pic, but it'll do...)
  3. Agree to a degree, quite hot but not the hottest Watcher 2 in IA/Sniper story....
  4. Dulfy is one of us, a gamer, except she takes the time to make fantastic write ups on almost everything to do with this game and others. Seriously, recommend having a look at her guide(s), it'll be worth the visit
  5. Don't regret my lifer (founder) sub to Lotro at all, love the fact that it's there anytime i want to go back to it... I'd pay the $200 (or equivalent in €) to become a lifer here too....
  6. The SirCopperfield The Honourable Thread! This gets my vote too! Was reading it again this morning and still laughing!
  7. Ossus as a flashpoint - fighting over the ruins of the Jedi Library would be pretty cool. (I am correct here aren't I that at this stage Ossus has been sterilised by the detonation of the corsair in the Cron Cluster - should be a couple of hundred / thousand years previously?) Otherwise, echo previous statements here, Dantooine, Kashyyyk, Onderon & Dxun, Yavin IV, Manaan and I think Muunilinst - take down the banking clans
  8. Like Geryl above, I wasn't able to pick up the latest daily which should have unlocked for me yesterday - don't know if it has yet today - I'm @ work and not sure if was a timing issue or something... (when do they reset?), nor was I able to pick up the blood sample (outbreak?) mission. I'd love it if the event was extended, even until the end of the week, here's hoping, at least that way I should be able to get the full set and hopefully all the codex entries I started late with the event, so if it's not extended well that's just my own tough luck
  9. I buff when I notice i've been buffed... I would buff more but I forget, I'll try to be nicer from now on and buff one and all
  10. Doesn't she get killed by Rex under Order 66? Or have I just combined two (or more) separate reads into one totally wrong conclusion? - (apologies if I have )
  11. Hi folks, interesting thread... I think that Palpatine wanted Luke as his apprentice as he saw him as being more malable than Vader. Obviously as far as he was concerned Luke had had little to no training and he would be able to fashion him into something more suitable for his needs going forward. Vader, while he wasn't set in his ways (his turn of heart towards Luke at the end of the fight being an obvious example) was much harder (imo) to manipulate and posed a bigger threat as a result. They (the Sith) were no longer secret but Palpatine obviously envisioned the continuation of the Empire under him through his use of cloning technology and I assume wanted apprentices totally devoted to him and his ideals and who did not pose a risk in overthrowing him. Here he definitely puts aside the rule in not allowing his apprentice to replace him or is it all part of another one of his schemes? His (Palpatines) 'Hands' were Sith minions (I think) along the likes of the assassins and warriors towards the end of the last Sith Empire under the 'Brotherhood' and were never allowed to develop to their full potential. He had a tight reign on them and that's the way he wanted it. I don't think he considered them anything other than tools/fodder. Wasn't it Darth Cadeus who eventually revoked the rule of two - can't remember why though as I've just started re-reading the entire series of SW books.... Obviously, all of the above is just my opinion, but I hope it adds to the discussion
  12. Nope, it's me too... admittedly I am relatively new to the class (having played primarily on repub side) but I'm loving my sniper and everything that goes with it!
  13. Without a doubt.... Mara, then Bastila, Satele, Darth Talon and everyone else (female) mentioned in all the above posts - I'm just greedy!
  14. I thought it was Darth Krayt who overturned the 'rule of two', wasn't it mentioned in 'Crosscurrent'? Or am I getting it hopelessly wrong?
