  1. Kay. Entitlement is nice and all, but I'd really love to see some sort of constructiveness out of this thread beyond, "nerf, its clearly broken". Furthermore, Resolve bugs out about half the time - it's a decent idea on paper, but you can still sit in full duration CC's with a full bar. I'd suggest that it scales, where a Resolve bar that is 1/10th full reduces CC durations by 1/10th, et cetera. Diminishing Returns exist across genres for a reason.
  2. I have to point something out, here. Resolve does not always work properly, and on top of that, half a resolve bar will not stop you from sitting in 8+ seconds of CC. I've had my resolve bar full and still sat in full duration CCs, it's a problem. Furthermore, CC DR's are pretty damn important. Even with resolve, you could be sitting in 12+ seconds of CC before it kicks in, which is a long enough time for my smuggler to take out two of your (apparently unawares) buddies. An easy fix to this would be reducing the cooldown on the CC break to 45 seconds, allowing the resolve function to perform it's intended function and allowing your CC break to work in a similar fashion as DR timers.
  3. My level 26 Gunslinger tops 300k damage in a decent Voidstar match. At level 10, my Sentinel did 210k in a similar Voidstar match. I don't see that damage going down as I catch up in levels. The problem with melee is the responsiveness of the ability queue and the way the games network code handles the execution of ability presses in PvP - which is to say, there is no responsiveness. Once that gets patched, melee will be fine; until then, melee is still pretty much fine, play better.
  4. Simple solution to the CC issue: CC breaks are now on a 45 second cooldown. Problem solved.
  5. Congrats, you're a terrible person. Pressing the 'Queue as a Group' option as opposed to each member of a party hitting 'Solo Queue' is also mad difficult. Furthermore, that little box at the end of each Warzone? Yeah, that puts you in solo queue; also also, this stuff isn't hard to figure out.
  6. There's a guild on Swiftsure Emp side named Strictly Business. They have a couple all level 50 premades going a day before launch; they primarily fight groups of people that are less than level 30. Matches are extremely one sided, even if those sub-30 players were a Republic premade. Having said that, the matchmaking system first tries to put you against groups of the same level - once there are more 50s, nobody below level 30 will face one. Until then, though, 50s will continue to derpherp their way to victory with an acute absence of skill and without actually having to try.
  7. Chief, competitive e-sport players have, for the most part, very similar skill sets; taking the direct example, SWTOR is mechanically very similar to WoW*, and as such, one might expect a top level WoW player to have a pretty solid handle on SWTOR. Furthermore, the key to competitive success is far more often the players mindset, and not the use of actual mechanics. When you look at a players success in one game and take the actual mechanics out of the picture and focus on mindset, you're left with the conclusion that said player has a universal leg-up on 'regular' players in any similar game that player plays - like going to SWTOR from WoW. *WoW is not technically an e-sport, but neither is SWTOR. The argument should apply the same regardless.
  8. Looks like Crucible Pits is going to be my server of choice... or The Fatman, depending on whether or not I know anyone on either server. edit: *********** dyslexic
