  1. Hello, Frequently it's difficult to get an opportunity to restore health (Jedi Introspection) in the flashpoints because other players start into battle. I'm suggesting to allow health restoration WHILE other players of the group are in combat. The management of the health pool of my character should not depend on the decisions of other players. This is especially, but not exclusively, the case in tacticals where I am tank spec and the other players are DPS but we have not healer. Sure the group needs to coordinate but I believe in this case there should be this exception.
  2. I notice it at certain times. Mid-day Saturday, later on Sundays. A group of players from the same guild all operating together. I cast Challenging Call and boom, focus fired by all 4 within a couple seconds. The first few years I was like, ok, no big deal I'll just re-queue. But the premades are on when I want to play and it really sucks. They also string cool-downs very effectively which you can only do if you're communicating via voice. It's much more difficult to keep from blowing a cooldown when you're not coordinating with another player.
  3. I'm done with this random group versus premade group crap in pvp. If you wanna group, have a battle plan, vent/mumble that's great but you need to play against another premade group not against a random group. I don't care if your wait time is long it's not a fair paring. BIO needs to queue groups against groups, individual against individuals. PvP is the only thing left in the game I find interesting and it's ruined when you get a score of 6 to 0 in huttball because the other group is a premade.
  4. Guardian tanking SUCKS. I get agro pulled off me all the time, cool-downs are blown. What a miserable situation. Yeah, hilt strike blah blah, awe blah blah, force stasis blah blah... I read ALL the intelligent guides on the internet. I tank on my Bounty Hunter with ZERO problem: I can "reach" the mobs so much more easily WHILE maintaining agro on the boss I'm tanking. I have TWO gap closers on the BH and TWO ranged taunts and a ranged damage dealer that actually turns a mob back towards me unlike the crappy saber throw. When one tool is on cool-down the other is available. I'm SO done with the frickin Guardian tank BW can have the CRAPPY thing. And while I'm here Guardian PvP is a mess too... has anyone REALLY played with the clunky rotation on that? Compare it to what's available with a Powertech... Seriously BW what were you thinking. The Jedi should be the premier class all around not the clunker.
  5. PLEASE!!! I'm so tired of switching the audio around every time I want to play SWTOR. Please add in-game audio output device selection so I don't have to keep switching the default audio output device in windows. The other major MMO's do it, why not SWTOR! Great game BTW... love it.
  6. AGREE'D 100% I hate the new sound, it's weak and irritating.
  7. Don't like the new sound of charged burst... too tinny and it kinda hurts my ears. I almost wanna quit my smuggler and go play my jedi until you fix this "nails on the chalkboard" sound....
  8. I like the idea and I really like the split option. I will stay a subscriber in part because I love the game and I want to see it succeed but also I realize it was a huge amount of work to creat this game and only seem fair to pay my part to enjoy it.
  9. Hey BW, Absolutely loving the game. I've played all the major MMO's, including the recent betas and I like this one the best. I am a character player and REALLY enjoy the character driven aspect, the cut scenes are awesome and really make me feel like I'm part of the game's world. Because of the detail of the character's appearance, mouth movement, expressions, voices and the various gestures, I find it difficult to get into other MMO's, they seem cartoonish. I've heard about the bumps you all have had. I think the gaming industry is a tough one. Sure I've had my complaints in the past about this game but that was because I got distracted by the grindiness. It's only a grind if you are grinding to get something that wasn't intended to be had easily.
  10. Bioware needs an option in the groupfinder for players who (1) want to watch cut scenes or (2) are there just for social points, etc. Then make the best effort (not a requirement) to group players on thos added criteria. I like the cutscenes. No they don't make the FP's 90 minutes or more.
  11. I for one am happy they're releasing fixes as fast as they do... The game is GREAT in so many respects and they pushed the envelope a bit so of course there's going to be bugs. I see very little lag and I'm on a slow internet connection.... stop watching (ehem) naughty vids while playing and you'll have less lag... I'm not judging... no wait... I am judging... so there.
  12. Well, there's more than just packed and ghost-town options. Second night of 20+ min wait on Harbinger. When you only have an hour (at most) to play in the evenings (after work, chores, etc) waiting 20 mins takes a big bite out of the reason for playing.
  13. C'mon... seriously? I love that the server is populated and there's people to play alongside; however, too many more nights of this and I'm cancelling!
  14. I'd like to see the rest zones expanded from just the Cantina to also include the areas around/adjacent to the cantina's so we can read/send mail, work at the GTN and the bank while getting rest time. It would help reduce the grindy feel the game has.
  15. Electronic Arts (EA) used to be top dog, then Activision bought Blizzard and with WoW as their new cash-cow they bumped EA out of the top spot. EA wants it's own cash-cow so they instructed BioWare to remake Knights of the Old Republic, gave them a budget and off they went. Adding Lucas Arts into the mix with all the amazing, individually acted cut scenes in this game BioWare's SWTOR project was destined to hurtle out of budgetary control. The first part of this game(Act 1) was amazingly well done. Have you noticed how the cut scenes drop off and the grinding and travel time soar right after Act 1 ends? That's undoubtedly the result of EA's spineless CEO bending to the whim's of the bean-counters. They wanna keep you grinding away to suck as many 15-dollar months out of you as they can. The creatively handicapped bean-counter's and CEO's don't care how many times you have to travel across Hoth but I can assure you the game designers did.... guess who won? They also wanted the game out before Christmas and instead of releasing a finished product, they released, well, SWTOR. Have you also noticed the odd mix of really awesome work and really marginal get-by-with-what-we-can work in this game? Take a look at PvP: it's fine to group level's 10 throught 49 and make DPS/Health adjustments but forgetting to adjust for the talent tree? Seriously? The simple lack of a dual (or more) spec option so you can tank, dps and/or pvp is a glaring mistake no game designer would have made unless he was pressured to do so. Unfortunately for SWTOR, the competition (check out the main advertiser on TORHEAD) is becomming a steam roller headed for the BioWare building. So be kinda nice here folks. Yes this game has disappointing aspects. Vote your disapproval with your subscription but don't rake the developers over the coals in these forums, they answer, like many less-creative American companies, to the bottom line.
