  1. And what about when the game does /stuck for you because it thinks your stuck. Fun times there. "Badly coded geometry collisions? lets charge the player for those!!" *fistbump*
  2. This. Devs have the tools to basically make them selves invulnerable for testing purposes. (or they do in every other game, maybe not these devs...). it would have taken 2 people 5 minutes tops. hell, they said they were fixing it, so i would assume they would at least test this specific encounter to see if it was actually fixed. Or did they just write the code, tell eachother how awesome they are at coding, and push it live?
  3. Bioware - why is test not utilized? why is it not an always on server, with its own community of testers? Bugs and code fixes are to be expected. they are part of coding and designing anything. its ok, we know that. we expect that. Why people arent happy is no testing seems to go into any of the patches that you push. The bigger ones that do go to test get some testing done on them yes, but even that isnt all addressed. "Other games" (even games from 10-12 years ago) had test servers with normal active populations. they didnt just turn them on whenever it was time to test a "big" patch. every patch went to test first. so people who actually WANTED to test stuff and help find and fix bugs could. People are angry with bugs because we are basically playing on 10-15 Test servers, when thats not what we signed up for. I know at one point you (bioware) had a test community, dedicated players who actually WANTED to play on test. and test your patches for you. and give you feed back. i doubt theyre still around sadly. and as many bugs make it to the live servers, i highly doubt there is much internal testing if at all. or if there is, there just arent enough people to test anything. That is what test is for. Not to test out your next big patch. but to have full time guinea pigs, who want to be your guinea pigs. Those of us on the regular servers dont want to do that. thats not what we are here for. Bugs in testing are fine. Pushing bugs to your live player base in this frequency and consistency isnt good for your player base. If you arent thoroughly going to test you patches internally before pushing them out to the masses, open up the test server. hopefully its not too late, and you can get some of the people that like to test back over there.
  4. I see all these other posts and instead of tacking on to one and derailing it, figured id ask here. I feel like i should be doing a little more damage than i am currently. been parsing anywhere from 1100-1300 in raids buffed and stimmed, and 1300-1350 on the operations dummy unbuffed. Unbuffed stats 1690str 909pwr 261acc 191crit 276surge Anni Spec 31/6/4 (1 point in narrowed hatred, 2 points in malice)
  5. Mara/Sent with interrupts (and other melee with interrupts im assuming) works just fine. The tank has to be open to moving the boss. And it helps to walk through the game plane before you activate him if you havent done it before. we had Jugg tank, myself (mara), merc dps, sorc healer. with me being melee and having to be on the boss, it was easier with the merc and sorc near me. the tank would move him when bubbles went out. i was able to interrupt while the tank was moving him. once the first bubbles went out we moved to the edges of the room to avoid lava. if you have played any other game, Tank goes in front, melee behind. if you follow this rule, no one but the tank will ever get any accidental incinerates. The hard part is convincing people who have read how "easy" it is with ranged, to even try it with melee. its not harder, its just different.
  6. What are general PVE DPS targets a marauder should be aiming for (or able to hit) in various stages of gear as they are progressing? I hear 1200 is good to aim for, 1600+ is doable, but when and with what gear? IE what kind of DPS should i be doing in: Full Columi? Full Rakata? Campaign? and then top end customized Thanks
  7. Our guild suffered from low pop for a while and we are finally hoping to get back in to raiding and gearing up new people through SM/HM EV & KP, was wondering, at what point would it even be worth starting to attempt SM EC?
  8. so you want everyone to wear the same gear, or be naked? take out the expertise factor completely. and just hand everyone a set of "uniforms" so they all have the same stats?
