  1. Have to run it past my raid team to see if we can schedule something. We usually run Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights 8:30EST. Before I check with my team, did you have a credits figure prepared that I could pass along.
  2. Which faction do want to get the kill on? Also the class and spec of the toon you want the title on. Do you have any experience with the ToS HM fights?
  3. The Heroic2's give pretty decent credits and are mostly very easy to do. I believe, they scale up the rewards if you're in a group. Saw posted a while ago that people were making a couple mil credits from running a set of H2's in like an hour. Only other real thing to do would be buying items priced low and selling them higher on GTN, but that's pretty boring. Crafting isn't that bad, especially now that companions complete tasks much faster than before.
  4. The gear doesn't bother me, it annoys me that my Pub and Imp raid teams are planning on making me run EV 10+ times this week to farm it to death. The main problem I see is a lack of direction being presented by the Dev team towards operations in general. Without the continuation of NiM level content being released, we're stuck with 5 operations having a difficulty that the rest don't have. This creates a weird space where some operations don't offer a tier beyond HM and no way to gain the higher gear rank. To close this void, they're introduced the "Highlighted Operation", while an interesting idea to bridge the gap it ultimately fails as none of the operations are close to evenly tuned. Outside of gear, the current setup has removed almost any sense of reward and achievement from the Operations. As it stands, some of the hardest fights in the game offer the exact same rewards as bosses that you can button smash with 7 pugs and still win. Currently the only allure to doing bosses that offer a greater challenge is a sense of completion and an achievement. While some might say that is enough, I disagree. In previous tiers with NiM, not only could you get that sense of completion and achievement, you'd be rewarded with exclusive vanity items and titles. While the tougher boss encounters in the game still offer vanity items, it's only to a small extent, that for the most part, doesn't feel worthwhile. As an example, we have Soa and Coratanni. These two bosses In HM drop the exact same token piece, yet the disparity in difficulty between them is immense. The only reason anyone would do Coratanni over Soa is to complete their achievement. Literally, that's it. Coratanni doesn't drop anything special or give any cool title to players who've beaten the fight. All you get is a nearly worthless Rocket deco (because let's be honest, the market is still flooded with from exploiters). This creates a situation where once you beaten Coratanni, there isn't an incentive to perfect your strategy to beat the boss or even bother farming it. So you're left with this feeling of having done something worthwhile, but not really getting anything to show for it. Is there a solution, you bet there is. Is there any chance the devs will actually address this disparity/do anything about it, it's unlikely at best. We all know what the current focus of the game is on. While it's hard for raiders and guilds to accept, it might be time to let go of the idea that we'll ever have a balanced raiding system that actually offers any kind of meaningful progression. Unfortunate, yes. Reality, yes.
  5. If you're using this method, please, don't use group finder. You can find the mission givers (outside the instances on the planet or fleet) and walk into the instance without wasting other peoples time; this also removes the need for certain classes to do it. You won't get the random group finder, but let's be honest, if you actually want it, do it the right way.
  6. I love the new ability, but it's been giving some issues with porting me to incorrect places. On EV first boss I used it to port onto the turret adds in the beginning, instead it ported me 70 meters past the turrets (not a big deal, just weird). Today I used it in EC to gap close so I could attack Firebrand at the start of the fight. Instead of porting me to the top of the tank where I could dps him, it threw me up into the air and killed me with fall damage (I had used the ability multiple times previous to this occurrence with no negative effect, during previous attempts). It seems to be an oddity of an occurrence, but becomes a nuisance as it deters further use of the ability. I believe it has something to do with transporting to a higher object (possibly getting stuck in object and automatically detecting it and doing some kind of reset). Screenshot of where I was thrown to and fall damage death in chat window (EC tanks).
  7. Which faction are you looking to play on (Imperial or Republic). Which class and role do you want to play as. And what are your normal playing times.
  8. Are any of these NiM runs available in 16man? Done the ops before in 8man, but would like to finish up my achievements page.
  9. Thanks everyone that showed up. I got the achievement despite not being able to figure out how to open my stronghold to both factions (thought you could, guess not?). So after a little bit of trying to get everyone there, 48 packs + the Hypercrate were given out. Thanks again
  10. Bumping post as the event is about 24hrs away. Please let your friends/guild mates know so they can get in on the free CartelMarket items.
  11. This Saturday, June 13th, at 7PM EST, I'm inviting the swtor community to stop by my Tatooine stronghold to help me get an achievement for having 50 players in my stronghold. Prizes up for grabs: Grand Prize - 1 Hypercrate Acolyte's Shadow pack Door Prize - 48 Acolyte's Shadow Pack (1 pack per person) How it's gonna work: My stronghold is open to both factions to travel to, just go to the Crew Skills area and look for WillGrayson's Republic Sanctuary under the Tatooine Public Listings terminal. At 7PM EST start heading over; feel free to explore but keep your chat open. I'll be using the /say chat (both factions can see it), once there are 50 players inside the stronghold I'll start handing out the prizes. Once we hit 50 players inside, make your way to the balcony for the giveaway. I'll have everyone do a /roll in /say chat and the highest roll will win the grand prize (if there is a tie for highest roll, those players will continue to reroll until a winner emerges). I will be online with my Jedi Guardian, WillGrayson, to start. After I hand out the prizes to Republic side characters, I will switch to my Bounty Hunter, PewPewBlaster, to hand out prizes to the Imperials who showed up to help. I'll give out the Grand Prize then ask everyone who needs their door prize to open trade with me, be patient as it might take a minute or two to get everyone sorted. To qualify for a prize, you must be visible on the balcony and have participated in the /roll in /say chat after reaching 50 players inside. Please feel free to let your friends/guilds know so they can come grab a pack and get a chance at the Hypercrate. This event assumes we hit the 50 player threshold granting me the Bringing Down the House achievement. Be sure to get in quick to guarantee a prize, as the stronghold caps at 50 players.
  12. I can run Merc DPS (198s) or Merc heals (192s/198s) or sorc dps (192s) for imp side. Pub side I can run Mando heals/dps (same stats), Sage dps (same stats), or guardian tank (186/192s). Depends on the raid night though, my work schedule can conflict with some nights throughout the week.
  13. Thanks for hosting the event! While laggy, it was a lot of fun and I got some nice achievements as well. Looking forward to any future events you guys do!
