  1. Also, everyone keeps saying marauder is good but they're the worst performers on the ranked warzone leaderboards. Nobody even wants them in group ranked. I'd assume best is jugg, operative, or sin. I'm not sure how sins are performing at the highest level compared to operatives though. In solo queue, I assume operatives just flat out carry harder than the other classes due to healing and rolls for resets and offhealing.
  2. Which class/discipline combos are the best for solo queue and group queue? For example, there are super high operatives in solo and one crazy high one in group queue. I'm not sure if that's concealment or healer, etc.? I also believe assassins got nerfed so I'm not sure if they're even a top class anymore and if the high ratings are just lingering from pre-nerf? Thanks for the recommendations.
  3. What marauder spec is the best in warzones? Is it fury or carnage?

    Ranked Arena LF Help

Thanks everyone for the responses. I find it interesting that Fury is more preferred than Carnage. I haven't played Fury for a year but it felt very rough and not as smooth to play as carnage and less burst. I'll have to look into the build again to look at the CC immunity options it has. I'll have to give it a shot again after I finish the inquisitor chapter 2 story for the buff. I know Fury was a solid pick before as well for PvP, but thought it was behind Carnage and Annihilation. Do you know which talents are specced into for Fury in PvP consistently?

    Ranked Arena LF Help

Hello, Just a little background on me, but I'm basically a super competitive tryhard. I've been multi-gladiator in multiple seasons with multiple classes in WoW and rank 1 multiple times. I played on a pro team for a small stint in Smite. I'm typically in the highest ranked bracket in most games that I devote any time to. No I'm not trying to stroke myself off here, but I want to at least set the expectation that I'm not looking for help to barely break 1000 rating. I'm looking for the type of knowledge to get to platinum rank, knowing that I can handle the mechanics of the game. I started playing SWTOR for a month or so about a year ago and stopped again, but before that... I had not played since release. I'm wanting to get started back up, especially with expansion coming, and actually get into the ranked arena for this game. (I realize it's probably not all that competitive with how matchmaking is and the lower player base, and win trading). That's ok. So some questions that I have from some of the seasoned higher ranked players: 1) Are marauders super viable for solo queue? group queue? (They look 'ok' in solo queue, except 1 guy) 2) Which spec of marauder is most played? Carnage? 3) Do I need to get 258 gear to compete at high ranks? 4) Stat priority for carnage marauders? How much hit % in PvP? Any must-have gear items? 5) What is the best team comp for me in group queue? 6) What talents do people run on the marauder builds for arena? Are there situational talents based on your comp? 7) What are typical target priorities for killing people? Train healer first, train snipers first, etc.? 8) Do people typically blow CDs liberally at the start, or do they typically try to force CDs on other team first and then blow theirs to net a kill? I'm sure I'll think of more questions, but thanks for any insight! Obviously I can figure these out on my own I'm sure, but will take much more time to get ramped up.
  6. The optimal stats don't take into account the GCD thresholds it seems...Does anyone know if it's better to push towards the GCD thresholds or not? For example, it has like 1500ish alacrity for carnage marauder, but I'm not sure if it's worth raising or lowering alacrity instead.
  7. I pretty much agree with everything Megatf is saying. Also, I played hunter since WoW was released and I know who you are megatf. You were definitely a good hunter, but don't say you didn't play FOTM compositions because you always played the standard mana drain setups. While I think you were a good hunter, I always destroyed you in mirror's on my hunter on I believe the tournie realm server, or PTR. While I think you're a good player. You were so far from being one of the best players in the world. You were just a big self-promoting forum hero who made videos. Not all good players try to self-promote and make nerd videos. If you follow WoW MLG then you would probably know Snutz. After I switched to warlock I taught Snutz how to play his character before he transferred off to play with Venruki and go MLG and I can absolutely destroy him every duel. I was the highest rated hunter in 3v3 in the world in season 1 and at one point during season 3 before we deleted our team and went off to different teams. That was with Dahboo if you know who that druid is, but at the time he was playing his warlock. Sorry, just had to take you down a notch . While I completely understand what you are trying to do, which is why I completely agree with everything you have to say, you are yelling to deaf children right now, though. No matter how well known you are in any MMO, it doesn't matter because the casual players are the ones who follow the forums. You can state your 'reputation' as much as you want, but it doesn't matter. I agree that this game should have arena because it's too hard to get 8 people together than it is to get a 3v3 going. 99% of people who hate arena, hate it because they don't like how much it shows how horrible of players they are. If you make a mistake in arena, then you are easily called out. You can make tons of mistakes in a warzone and no one would really know any different or care that much. Also, you can say how bad arena's were on WoW, but arenas made the general population of WoW to become better players. It forced you to learn to keybind, mouse turn, use focus macros, environment awareness, and line of sight. These were all useful skills in PvE as well, but arena helped make players better. Period.
