NPCs/Mobs with stealth detection are actually detecting and aggroing on stealthed players at greater range than players not in stealth. Makes several flashpoints nearly impossible to run with a Shadow/Assassin/Scoundrel/Operative who is rightly trying to maximize their effectiveness by stealthing up to enemies. They can just enter stealth while the entire group is outside of aggro range, and the detectors will "see" them and aggro anyway. Quite annoying, and should have been a simple fix...

Yeah, had that happen on that 2nd boss in Hammer Station. We were forming up outside the room, I hit stealth, and the bosses instantly aggroed on me even though we hadn't moved. In the caes of Taral V, the group wanted to skip about 4 mobs, so we went around in like a half-circle around them. Around the other side of the mobs was probably a 'gold' detector droid. So the group of mobs was between us and this droid. Even though no one in my party aggroed the mobs between us, the droid aggroed on me from 70m - 100m away because I was in stealth, and brought everything. It was so bad the group said I had to either stop stealthing or leave the flashpoint.

Ran Taral V tonight for the first time, and I noticed that if I was in stealth that any 'gold' droids would aggro me even if another party member was closer and had not aggroed the enemy yet. Seems that being in stealth made it easier for them to detect me. Come to think of it, I had similar issues a few weeks ago with the 2nd boss pack in Hammer Station. The bosses would aggro on me just because I was stealthed and in line of sight. Is this a bug, or working as intended?

Scrapper Scoundrel PvP video(s) + tips/guide

Did you mean Shoot First maybe? I'm only Lvl 34, but I'm certain that Back Blast doesn't proc Upper Hand. I can't say about Shoot First. -

Mind telling us mere mortals how you got your first Upper Hand to use that Sucker Punch? -
Pretty sure they removed all fully modded Lvl 50 gear from the game because they didn't want people breaking armor mods out of boots from early bosses and upgrading their chest or leg pieces rather than waiting until they defeated the later bosses. I think they could have simplified that problem by having chest and legs use a Harness as their main mod and let everything else use the Armor mod.

So I was playing a VoidStar game with my mid-level Scoundrel, and I accomplished the following feats: Snuck around to set bomb on the first door, defended it successfully. Snuck around to extend the bridge first. Snuck to the second door, set the bomb, defended it successfully. Opened the first force field. Snuck to the third door, set the bomb. Let others defend the door so I stayed out of combat, ran through the door at full speed and captured the computer. We had between 3:30 and 4:00 remaining, so we defended easily in the next round. Needless to say, I was expecting to be the leader in Objective points when the scoreboard came up (I usually sort by Obj points and hand out my MVP votes based on it). Much to my surprise I was dead last with only 200 points while others on my team were over 10,000. Seems to me that actually completing objectives should award you Objective points. So given that I interacted with every single objective in the game, how could I have ended up dead last?

Concerning Flechette Round (31 point Scrapper skill)
TrickElders replied to Aurinax's topic in Scoundrel / Operative
Probably a dumb question, but does the 50% armor penetration apply to everyone who attacks the target or just us? If it is indeed everyone, then will become required spec for all operations. -
Flying Fists has a 50/100% chance to immediately regrant Upper Hand when hitting a bleeding target. For starters, I can really see how this would be great in PvE. It can be anyone's bleed effect, and you get Upper Hand back. Use it on another Sucker Punch, or refresh Pugnacity. What I'm failing to see is how it's optimal for a PvP build. First you have the issue that Flying Fists is only a 50% proc anyway, and in a normal burst rotation you will use it once. Then, unless I'm mistaken, Vital Shot isn't even part of the burst rotation starting with Shoot First. And since you normally want to ambush a target away from help, it's unlikely that someone else will apply a bleed effect to your target. Unless Flechette Round is considered a bleed effect, but I've not seen anything to indicate that... Just seems to me that putting those points into a straight-up damage increase like Scrappy or Browbeater would be more effective. Thoughts?

So what's with the one point in Brawler's Grit? Wouldn't that give more benefit in Suprise Comeback? -
While waiting in queue tonight, I was noticing how some of the talents across the trees looks like they might stack well together. Took awhile, but I think I've found a combination that I will have to test when I finally get to 50. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801RRMrdRbZ0cZbIbrzh.1 The idea would be to spam Stockstrike and HIB as much as possible by resetting their cooldowns often. This spec would run with Ion Cell and be used in PvP. Key features Shielding has a chance to reset the cooldown on Stockstrike Stockstrike and Ion Pulse have chance to reset HIB and make it free HIB ignores 90% of armor Incendiary Round to set target on fire HIB refunds 1 cell when hitting a burning target Stockstrike will DoT the target too I'm sure some of the points need to be shifted among some talents to maximize effectiveness, but I think I picked up the biggest ones. Any thoughts on if this would work, before I get a chance to test for myself?

Yeah, I thought I remember that changing when we download the "retail" client. Sounds like a downward move to me... (pun intended)
