  1. I did the Hoth quest for Aric just yesterday. It's dead easy if you just qt to Highmount Road, and travel overland (south, then west, iirc) from there. No heroic areas, no champions, no fighting through imperial bases. Just enjoy the scenery.
  2. I like the Zakuulan Exile's blaster rifle for my Operative, because of the little bayonet that pops out when you draw the weapon. Very operative-ey.
  3. I don't use/re-roll Amplifiers either. I thought before the update, that with the rarity locking I'd try it a few times, but with the non-collapsible Amplifier pane, I won't. I want to ignore them as much as possible. Also, I'm not the target group for this anyway, as in "the richest players sitting on billions who need credits siphoned from". And doesn't that Amplifier pane even LOOK like the little 'x' to close it in the upper right corner is just missing?
  4. I think 4X would just explode (in your face) if you did that.
  5. Throwing my voice in here too (I rarely do): that Amplifier list needs to go. I probably will get used to the new character window, but the Amplifiers were just fine where they were: easy to ignore and unbobtrusive. It's just a credit sink for the richest players and a toy for the most ardent min-maxers anyway.
  6. Yes, I remember, and I think I even have one of those posters somewhere. Talked my local movie theatre owner into giving it to me. Back then. Waaaaay back then.
  7. I have no intention of getting another companion I don't use, so I'm skipping the group finder thing. But I did some flashpoints via GF during the Dark vs. Light event, and they were OK. And I do the occasional warzone, and they're not so bad as well. The one I like best is actually Odessen, because it's way more tactical than the others. Though most of the time it's either Huttball, or a 4v4 arena. *sigh* So while events may push me to do some groupfinder stuff, and it might actually not be a horrible ordeal, I never become a regular.
  8. I've been playing a lot of Guild Wars 2 lately, and it has the same system for mobs/loot/XP as ESO. As long as you do some damage, you will profit. And gathering nodes can not be "stolen" by other players, everybody can use them. You don't need to explicitly group up to do stuff together. When I see other players in GW2, I'm happy (and trust me, a lot of the end-level areas are NOT solo-friendly). When I see other players in SWTOR, I'm annoyed.
  9. When I started playing, I picked a legacy name, was quite happy with it, and got that legacy to level 50 in about 10 months. Then, about two years ago, I transferred a character from that legacy to another server (one that got merged with my home), so that I'd have a level 50 with all the class buffs on that server as well. Of course it had the name of my original legacy. But I didn't really play on that server, and continued to play on my original server, and got a lot more achievements done. This year I decided to change my legacy name on my home server, so I bought a legacy name change token with CC. Real money. Fast forward to the server merge, and guess which legacy name I ended up with? Right, the old one. Both legacies level 50, of course, just one much, MUCH higher in rank. And I got the name of the "lesser" legacy. And now they expect me to pay AGAIN to change the name? Really?
  10. Same here. I renamed my first and highest ranking legacy on my home server (VC) this year, and now I'm back to the old legacy name that I had on T3-M4 because I transferred a character to that server years ago. No overflow legacy bank items as well.
  11. The Executioner's Lightsaber, a tier 3 command crate drop, has the same mesh as Kallig's Scorching Lightsaber. Doesn't seem to be a rare drop, I got a couple of them last week when I finally got my main to command rank 300. So they should be available on the GTN. If you're on Vanjervalis Chain, I could sell one or two to you. The other curved hilt lightsaber I know of is the Vengeance's Unsealed Lightsaber, which I like very much, and is, in my opinion, quite underrated. It should be available as well. Btw. you get Kallig's Scorching Lightsaber at the end of chapter 1 of the Inquisitor story line, so the grind for that isn't too bad. It's main- and offhand. Just checked.
  12. Thanks! So I'll just do what I planned to do.
  13. Soo... can that be seen as an exploit, if you do your dailies? Because I wanted to do the weeklies on those planets. I'm doing them on a pretty regular basis anyway.
  14. Same here. Too bad you need to kill off Senya for that option. Ah well... But I have several Outlanders who still have to run through KOTET, and I guess his survival rate dropped rapidly after that letter. Just... don't kill Lana, OK? The ONLY romance option for lesbian players in the entire game - and no, Lemda Avesta doesn't count. And the only F/F warrior/soldier romance option in ALL of BW's more recent games. We usually get the rogue/mage type. [/so tired]
