  1. Bioware cAn not add story at fast enough rate to keep everyone happy. It can only be an act per year in an expansion. Seeing as all story adds more levels (1 act adds 10) they either cut the crap and develop the only thing they are good at, story, or keep on releasing 4 bosses per half a year that take 2 hours to clear.
  2. Is that why we are getting a single planet after more than half a year of development with no class specific story? Working on a pre-set eauipment and knowing how to do things might be easier, but it still takes a lot to write a new story for each class, develop it into quests, fully voiceover it, find bugs and fix them. Additionally, i did not mean expansions as in an expansion. I meant continuation of a story. Im pretty sure the secret space project will be the next real expansion for swtor, just as there was a space expansion for swg. And of course they will most likely add some story to it, but we will not get anything major. 1 act is the maximum we can get per expansion because more would mean making an entirerly new game. And i cant speak for everyone, but one act per 1-2 years is not enough. In the end it is the downfall of the forth pillar that the bioware has created. Leveling is only a pre-stage in mmo's. Leveling content release time can never be quick enough to satisfy the population. And once the content is burned through, the game is dropped for a more fun alternative.
  3. Well lets look at the facts, and some of my oppenions. Started being developed in 2008. Released in 2011. This means a 3 year development process. In those 3 years they created, voiced over and polished 8 classes stories. Each has 3 acts, therefore 1 year per act for all stories. Now, the makeb thing is said to be a half an act (cant remember the souce, in one of interviews about the makeb on darth hater) which makes sence as it is a bit more than half a year since the release date. They spent 150 - 200 million $ on the development. At the point we are in time right now, the subscriptions have dropped at around half of what was at launch, more than 50% of servers are being closed down and the income for bioware/EA is slowly but steadily dropping. If we look at this whole thing from an investors point of view, who would dump a ton of money into a sinking ship that is going f2p soon and hope for a slim chance that after a year of development, a new story act wil draw all the players lost since launch back and make the investors a lot of money. I think it will not happen, therefore, we will never see another proper expansion of the story acts.
  4. To be honest I would much more enjoy a well made kotor 3 than what this game turned out to be. Note that I have been around excited about swtor since 2008. To answer your question, no, there will be no offline content. Ever.
  5. I sure hope they dont lock out my main character. I have full rakata and some campaign pieces. I cleared all pve content over and over and over and am quite bored with it. I canceled my sub about 2 weeks ago, 3 days before f2p was announced. If they let me keep my legacy perks from my main while i level an alt, then i shall return for f2p and maybe concider a sub for cartel points. If not, then i will not pay. I find it quite ironic how some people in this thread claim that "its only free up to level 50!!!". Have you even played this game at 50? Its *********** boring. All you have to do is raid 4 hours per week to clear entire hard mode content or farm warzones as a zombie in an endless loop to be better geared. It is not fun. And those 2 boring aspects are unlockable by a sub. The only truly fun thing in ths game that kept me logging on daily and does even now sometimes is making alts. The leveling from 1-50 is the most fun part of this damned game. So they are making 1-50 free to play. Well what else do you want lol? The 1-50 is the end game anyway. As for them locking out our characters once account goes free to play, I think its a dick move more than anything else. I have been paying a sub and loggng almost daily for most of the time since launch. I have invested time in my character, kept my server from dying at a point when there were 20 people online on fleet at prime time. I bought the game client and oey for the full 60$ and payed them subs. The least they could do is let the person who payed the sub keep his character progress, gear, race, etc since they already got the money and keep the population happy. Side note: The only thing that would truly make me excited about this game was the HK unit. I was waiting for it. For a long time. And yet there is still no info on him. Bioware better let people like me get it even if f2p. I have been a very strong supporter of this game throughout all the dark times, but it feels like bioware is slapping me for it with every update of theirs. Suck my balls ea and bioware!
  6. In swtor the real game starts at 1, and ends at 50. There is nothing fun to do at 50. That poses a question, why pay monthly sub for a single player with co-op?
  7. I want a darth nihilus mask! Why speed up leveling in this game, if leveling is the only fun thing to do?
  8. Well this is a hell of a news days today. I have to admit, I like this game. Its a star wars game. What more is there to say? Though I have canceled my subscription a few days ago for a simple reason most of the people around here did the same thing. There is nothing to do in this game. There is literaly nothing to do. I know some great fan of swtor can jump at me and bring up a few things to do in here, still, all of the things are the same! We can get credits to buy some stuff that was the main focus of the last 2 patches. Yes stuff that is really cool costs a **** load and personally, i never got enough money to buy a GTN. You could say save up the millions of credits but i just dont have the patience to farm credits as the only thing i do. Real life work to get a reward is one thing. A video game where you work for a reward is a completely different thing. I cleared all the raids before my guild fell apart. I did some pvp but here, pvp is nothing more than a constant farm. Before it was farming valor rank. Now its farming the points to buy war hero gear. Not much fun. Leveling alts is the only thing i do. Yet even this fun aspect of game started becoming boring. I keep logging on and looking at my charctera. I like the graphics in this game and i have yet to see something that will feel like a match to me. Its a personal opinion. So i look at my chars, then log off to play kotor i got on steam for 2$. It makes me really sad, but it is true. And now this.... Well to be honest, i feel quite a bit ****ed over by the coins. Collectors edition get extra coins. Yet I, who payed 60$ to get the copy of the game on xmas, which is worth 4x15$ = 600 coins, get nothing. This is not fair. I understand, collector eddition guys payed more, they should get more coins. But they got a malgus doll and a box full of stuff. All i got was 3 cds, no manual and a game that anyone can now get for free... Additionally, the only thing right now that would make me reniew my sub is bioware saying "hey guys, hk-51 next week!" i really want that companion and wouls gladly play with it. But, sadly, it will not happen. I find it extremely ironic that the time intervals between bioware saying "we will release content soon and often" is increasing exponentially(or so it feels at least) with every patch they put out. In the end, I do not want to give up on this game. I love it. But developers are doing the exact opposite of what i or i suppose any other fan of star wars would expect from a mmo dedicated to star wars.
  9. This thread raises a VERY important issue! SHOW SUPPORT FOR DROIDS!! p.s. Might have sounded sarcastic, but this matter is no joke. As HK will be my favorite companion, I hope bioware fixes this issue.
  10. Sadly this is the case for me too. I log on to these forums to see whats new and if there is anything interesting around about 7-10 times a day. I spend about 20 min on avarage while here readin all the news. In contrast, I log on 2-3 times a day on avarage to the game itself, and spend about ~5min online because there is just not enough stuff to do. Please Bioware, I loved this game as much as a person possibly can. There just is nothing to do in it! Leveling a new character all over does not sound heroic. There is nothing for end game. God, I would even be happy to go gather some herbs or go fishing as in wow. But my crew skills can be done from fleet aswell...
  11. I am at exactly same point as you atm m8. I have played this game since the release, about 3-5 hours daily. I had a lot of fun in the time, leveled multiple characters. I did some pvp but didnt find it much stimulating, so switched over to pve. Did all the raids up to hard mode EC. Right now I got myself a real life lightsaber and am training to do fancy tricks with it. And honestly I find more fun in playing with the saber than logging in. I will come back once HK-51 comes out because it is too great to miss. Other than that, the game is a repetitive form of constant gring :/ p.s. Never thought I would say this on the forums. Even through out the last half year, i canceled my sub today. Hope something awesome comes out soon :/
  12. Yes. Where do I sign up? Free experience in a big gaming company + you get to know people within the field that might help you some day. I do not see what there is not to go for other than the childish "I hate bioware! This game of theirs sucks! I wouldn't even go volunteer for them! I'm cool!". Or someone actually having a job
  13. Good evening everyone, I was pondering on what race to make my jedi consular and saw the miraluka race. It made me wonder about the previous games. In KOTOR2 Visas Marr was one of their species and as it turned out, Darth Nihilus destroyed their entire planet and their species all together. Now how is it possible that 300 years later we have Miralukans running around?
  14. Hello everyone, I just got an email from swtor saying that there are free transfers out for my server once again, even though i transfered all chars i liked to a more populated one on the first day my server was up for transfers. Now I read that I could get 25 black hole comms for transfering now. I've never complained on these forums before but this was a bit disturbing. How come people who were pioneers of the transfers and tested everything on themselfs like labrats got nothing(in my case i lost 5 black hole comms on every char, yet customer support said i never had the comms to begin with) and now its free mini pets and black hole comms give away? Its not even a big of a deal to not get the comms or even the mini pet but damn, i just feel cheated. Any thoughts?
