  1. Currently I play on my old laptop, I've done everything I can to optimise it and play on the lowest setting but at times if there is too much going in warzones fps drop under 10. I'm going to build my pc myself do don't try to convince me otherwise. Read multiple threads on this forum and on Reddit it seems confusing what will run this well. It doesn't appear that more expensive means better. I'll be just buying the desktop just to play swtor. I don't really care about playing on max setting, I just want smooth frame rates in warzones. I had a look at these premade setups thoughts? 2. And yet at Lvl 50, they are still the easiest class to kill, especially hybrid. Yawn.
  3. Exactly. His post already suggest he has no idea how sorcerers work in the first place.
  4. If I only I got stomped on more, this game would be engaging. As it stands now, my wall is more interesting.
  5. Please bring a better a video to your argument next time. You obviously haven't played a lot of pvp.
  6. Exactly. The issue here is not the game mechanic, it's that BW is continually catering to casual players who will in their due time be unsubbing soon along with the hardcore.
  7. Since they realise the overall IQ of the community is gradually getting lower, they are compensating as such. Continually nerfing will be the main course every month, till the game will resemble a first person shooter with sabers and spells. Just less and less reasons to play this game.
  8. And yet a bunch of us lowbies beat up on lvl 50 guild the other day and it was the best fun I've had on SWTOR. Unfortunately, this is so seldom even on my server which has the highest population in the world I will probably be unsubbing.
  9. You are wrong on all fronts. I applaud the OP for trying to make this game better than what it actually it is... even though he is forced to do so at Battlemaster. Here is a post I wrote in which the griefers actually turned into the griefed.
  10. So I was lvl 42 Jedi Conuslar (healer spec), and had the "open quest area on Tatooine" to do. So I go for a quick mission, complete my quest and just as I am about to grab the speeder at Outpost Salara I get jumped by a Bounty Hunter lvl 50, and lvl 40 Sorcerer. No harm, I just revive myself at the medcentre for a quick trip. I alert general chat that there is a lvl 50 imp near the pvp area at outpost Salara. When I reserruct at the outpost I see them camping just outside it. They had picked on a few lowbies, a couple of lvl 20's and one Trooper (also heal specced) lvl 32. I just happen to be there just as the republic lowbies were getting killed but the imps ran off when they realised the couldn't kill the republic lowbies (after I healed them) and after I started to doing significant damage along with NPC's there. I chased the lvl 40 and almost killed him but he ran off before I could catch him. I stayed there in chat laughing as they ran off. Just as I was about to leave a another lvl 50 imp, sniper, from the same guild, was sitting with his guild mates, lvl 50 trooper and lvl 40 sorcerer. Now all three were camping outside. They started to try divide and conquer, as in try to pull one (or if more) away from our safety zone of the outpost so they could jump us and kill us. I knew that we had no chance, but I didn't like their tactics so I was trying to help the lowbies with heals, drawing fire and also pulling whenever I could. I also made sure I could snare and stun the imps whenever I could, at least to give us a chance to escape. Needless to say we sat there hoping they would leave but they didn't. I tried to ask for help but I was the highest level republic player on Tatooine. I felt obligated to at least stay and help until some higher levels came. I remember a week before, I was doing a 4M Heroic very close to that outpost, and we were all around lvl 32-34, when a lvl 50 had jumped on the three waiting at the Heroic Area while I was on the way. Basically we were not able to start the heroic because of the lvl 50 ganking us. But I was bit mystified they were just running away. I never experienced this kind of world pvp before so I wasn't sure of the outcome. But I had the belief that 4 mid lvl 30's can take out a lvl 50. They all told me that I didn't have a clue - as if I hadn't even touched lvl 50. I am Battlemaster lvl 50 Marauder on my other toon, and I know what their strengths and weakness are, and I honestly thought four of us could take him down. I just wanted to try at least. In any case they gave up, didn't even try to fight him, even though I managed to take down 20% of health in a few seconds on my own. So either my maths skills aren't good or the players I had grouped were just bad pvp players who had no clue. Flashforward back to the current scene. Two lvl 50's, one lvl 40, same guild, camping outside for us, me lvl 42, another lvl 32, and two lvl 20's. They must of thought we were stupid because they kept sending their companions in and then out to try and bait us from the outpost. But we obviously didn't fall for the bait. They were obviously getting anxious and so they started sending one lvl 50 to come in and bait us out. All I was doing was slowing them down or stunning them, in the hope that with added NPC's we could kill them. We got the sniper to 10% health at one stage and then I even chased him to finish him down when I realised I had left my safety zone and was just about to be dropped before I quickly managed to get away, get out of LoS and heal. This game of cat and mouse went for a while till all 3 imps just rushed us. Obviously we were losing all out health very quickly, 2-3 shots, but with healers and companion healers, we just managed to stay alive and then not only that we managed to kill the lvl 40 just outside the post. Now they were trying to revive him but I kept engaging them in combat to stop them from doing so. This brought me enormous satisfaction even though I nearly died a few times been outside the safety zone. So I presume this is why the lvl 40 DIDN'T revive at the medcentre because it was ACTUALLY pulling us out to engage. They must of thought it was only a matter of time before they would kill us all. What ended up happening was that all of sudden the republic players were more confident and were actively trying to take the lvl 50's down. Eventually, we got the lvl 50 sniper and BH to under half health, and just as the Sniper tried to get away our BH pulled him back, and I kept him slowed enough that I just ended up chasing him, were at the end he didn't bother to attack me as he just fled and eventually killed him. I don't how it happened but the lvl 50 imp BH was almost dead but I couldn't see my republic friends, and then I also managed to finish him off. Now, given the conversation I had a week ago, I would of thought it was impossible, and given how hard they were hitting, it seemed so. But it's amazing how panic stops a player from using their abilities, how working collectively as a team, using all snares, stuns, disruptions, can out smart, out play and out skill much higher lvl and thus much higher geared players. Those imps must of thought they were in for an easy kill fest and it appears they bit more than they could chew. Now when I say I haven't encountered this kind of world pvp before, I play a lot of pvp. Actually that's all I play and 99% of my lvl 50 toon valor comes from pvp and not the Ilum camp fest I have on my Swifture server. So I guess my ability to play a class, lead a team, and my general instincts won out. Now albeit the fact that this game has very few open pvp encounter unless people set out to seek them, I thought that it's just not a matter of a lvl 50 been able to beat everything in site. There is a limit to what they can do. I wish this game had more of these encounters because it was thus far the most enjoyable experience I've had in this game. More so than getting 37 Kills and 0 deaths against a very good Battlemaster guild on Alderaan on my Rage Marauder. I find pvp in SWTOR enjoyable because of the class balances, (I don't feel like any class is OP it's just some have higher learning curves than others) but competely hate it its repetitiveness, people farming for dailies and medals, and Ilum is a joke in both implementation, gameplay and performance. Which means that random encouter I had on Tatooine only because I was doing a daily quest, was the one of the few exciting things I've had in 2 months. And I have been on Tatooine and many open world PvP areas many times, on the most populated server in the world and this only encounter I've had which has not been 1v1 or 1v1-or-more. But as soon a you get to lvl 50 the game means nothing. I don't care if I kill the opposing faction or not. There is only to care about gear. And this was the reason after 2 months I left WOW. Gear grinding. If this all how many years of development, many years of cloned MMO's that Bioware in all their wisdom can come up with, I don't think I will be subbed for too long. Like I said, I do enjoy the pvp gameplay and class balance, but there is only so much Alderaan, Hutball and Voidstar I can do before my brain turns into 22 buttons.
  11. I tend to do just slash them a about 8 times with my dual sabers, and then use a couple of Smashes and then they die.
