  1. I don't know if order 66 was simply a code word that activated a certain hidden program in the clones make-up, or that they had a series of orders all along. In the latter case the clones would always have known they could be ordered to destroy the jedi. I think the clones were programmed to follow Palpatine's orders blindly. Their initiative and freedom of thought was limited to the way they carried out military orders. In that sense they were less free than Threepio or Artoo. I wonder what would happen if a clone could be convinced that Palpatine was acting against the republic.
  2. It's death's sting. If you die too much it's run or wait. The game would be a lot less fun if your character actually 'died'. You'd have to start from scratch every time you died.
  3. It just a five minute adjustment. Problem is, it's just one guy per every group of servers (US, EU etc.) with a 5.25 inch floppy.
  4. Give their mothers a chance to air the room, change the sheets and tidy up.
  5. Not unusual in ships. Big ships can be sunk by one or two well placed torpedo's. The biggest problem with the Graf Spee was finding it. After it was cornered the Germans sank her themselves. It wasn't even combat that sunk her, but false information. During WWI many British ships were destroyed because German shells ignited gunpowder. One (un)lucky shell and down went the ship. Turns out the powder was being stored in the wrong place. All it took to sink the Titanic was one iceberg.
  6. Darth Vader has a password that overrides everything in the Empire. R2's memory was never wiped. R2-D2 knows Darth Vader is Anakin and knows that he always uses the same password: Padme. Anakin never was too bright.
  7. In the end the Dark Side is weaker because the apprentice turns on the master. The master keeps killing his apprentices until there is one that kills him. In theory that leads to stronger and stronger masters. In practice you end up with a lot of dead Sith. After all, there is no guarantee that the reason the apprentice wins is because he is stronger. He could just be sneaker or luckier. Of course, Vader killed Palpatine because he turned back to the Light Side and not because he wanted to replace his master. Personally I think the Light Side is a bit easy in the forgiveness department.
  8. Evil is often portrayed as more powerful so that the triumph of Good is more triumphant. In history a defeated enemy is often portrayed as powerful, strong, intelligent so that the victor must be really powerful, strong and intelligent to have defeated him. It is a story telling thing. Perhaps the Dark Side is more powerful in that it has a higher dps and more damaging attacks. I don't know. Never got round to comparing all the powers. Offhand I'd wouldn't say that the Dark Side does more dps or has more damaging attacks. One thing that makes the Dark Side weak is that it turns on itself. Not only in the sense that the Dark Side consumes a user. But also that if you have more than one Dark Side user then one will turn on the other at some point. They're worse than royal families. Light Side users don't turn on one another, but work together. Which is why light always triumphs in the end. It is because of the nature of sentient life that the Dark Side always returns.
  9. I always took that line to mean that (according to Vader at least) the Force could destroy a lot more than a planet. The DS goes 'zap' and one planet is destroyed. A force-user (if so inclined) could use the force to take out a solar system, a galaxy or more. As Yoda says: 'Size matters not.'
  10. Shoulder? Shoulder? Why is this text still bugged? Don't tell me you can't spell check! I shouldn't have to suffer through this. BTW Panda's what won't be bugged?
  11. Relax. Apart from working on bugs and new content, at least some people will be working on balance. This will result in some classes being nerfed, other becoming overpowered and some being balanced. After a while the classes will end up ebing fairly balanced. The bad news for the current OP classes is that they will first be nerfed into the ground. Unintentionally, but still.
  12. If we are talking eggs in general: The egg as dinosaurs laid eggs. If you mean chicken-eggs then: The chicken. If you go back in time there will be a point where there are no chickens, but there is the previous ancestor of the chicken. This creature kept evolving over the generations until at some point the chicken was created. However the parents of the chicken weren't chickens. It is the minute difference between parent and child that made the parents the previous species, and the child a chicken. The chicken was born from an egg. But this was not a chicken-egg as it was laid by the previous species. There was a chicken in the egg, but the egg itself was not a chicken egg. Therefore the chicken came first. If you define a chicken egg as an egg from which a chicken is hatched. Then the egg came first. It was laid by the previous species. But this interpretation is obviously silly. Yes, it does. Again, if you go back in time there is a moment when the circle wasn't. At some point it was created. This can be a circle created as a circular line. Then the beginning is where, eg, the pencil made the first mark. If a circle is created as, eg, an explosion (for which George Lucas seems to have developed a fondness) then the point at which the explosion started is the beginning.
  13. It's happened 16,67% of the saturdays since release!
  14. I have every option turned down just to play. So the picture is what I would see when I play?
  15. Exactly. But like his daddy he had the force to help him steer the thing. At the speeds Luke was going most of us would have gone *splat*. How the Scout Troopers managed to survive (normally that is) is beyond me.
